I feel like I was manipulated, when entering the Wells Fargo bank in basking ridge, NJ , holding a folder, an overly anxious personal banker asked what did I need. I said a cashiers check, and then proceeded to the teller. I was met with a $10.00 charge because, after 10 years of banking with Wachovia, I now have the wrong account for Wells fargo and they would have to charge me for the cashiers check. The teller said this can be solved by seeing the personal banker from earlier. I sat down with the personal banker, who quickly made me get a new checking account and then without asking gave me a money market account, and took my saving out of my way2save account and put it in the money market, NEVER explained there has to be a balance and that 75$ montly must go into the account from the checking. Then told me to pick out checks for my new account, said they were free. He also said when you get the new MAC card throw it out, it is useless, NOT true my old MAC was ONLY linked to my old account not my new one. Never once did he listen to why I did not want a new account, never once did he explain the money market account, and the checks were not free, 10% off. I went to another Wells fargo a week later, they closed the money market account, put my money back to the way2save, and said that he the personal banker did not have to open a new account, just give my old account a new name. I am still have problems getting all my direct deposits into the new account, and I am in fear of bouncing a check. This personal banker, must have had personal gains to opening up these two accounts, with out ever explaining anything to me. I feel that I was scammed in a way, and if the 2nd Wells fargo bank I went to, did not graciously apoligize, I would have taken all my money out of the bank that next day. As well as my childrens who also have separtate accounts with Wells Fargo. Please teach your employees, that customer service means everything being honesty and having integrity is what is important.

I needed some new checks so I called this branch and was told I had to come in to the bank in person to order them and pay $1 for 3 checks while waiting 10 business days for my new checks.  This branch isn't open on Saturdays so I'll have to go during the week before going to work.  Well at least they are open at 8am.  I guess that's something.  Overall, however, I think the customer service is poor, especially with regard to the fact that my personal banker at this branch never returned my calls.

I opened an account at this branch as the Personal Representative of an estate, depositing about 45K.  The clerk assisting me gave me her card.  Im the last two weeks I have left phone messages for this person to call me to answer a couple of questions about the account.  She never called me back.  This has caused me a lot of wasted time and frustration.  I do not recommend this bank for that reason.  In addition, I need some checks immediately to pay bills of the estate.  When I finally reached someone on the phone I was told I could purchase 3 checks for $1.00.  I would think the service would be a little more accomodating, especially since I plopped 45K into their bank in one day.  Sheesh.

I tried to make a deposit in the drive through window, and the service manager (Carrie) told me I was not able to. Everytime I make a transaction, I always deal with the nicest tellers, but that Service Manager never wants to help. She is always making it hard to do any business there. If it weren't for Ivey, I would have changed banks.

Had to wait over an hour to speak to a banker while 5 Spanish-speaking people got to go ahead of me. They need more bank employees to help the English-speaking folks. I wish I spoke Spanish! Everyone was polite but most of the time I've had to wait and wait and wait...

Be advised this is a Big Bank, like the Wall Street banks. It was Wachovia until Wells Fargo bought it. Policies are much more restrictive now. The only reason I keep my account there is the positive relationship I have with my personal banker, who knows me and will help me over the phone. This is crucial, since I now live in another state. Otherwise I would transfer my money to a local bank, as I do not want to support Big Banks. The waiting time rating refers to phone calls, as I am rarely in the bank itself.

The "wait time" at this bank is ALWAYS bad....too long; not enough tellers/service staff.  Today the "wait time" of 25 minutes in the drive-through lane was beyond ridiculous!!!!! This is the ONE thing that irritates me more than anything else at a bank; and a major reason why I would consider changing banks entirely.  Manager should be more aware of customer's needs....such POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!  10/29/ll

I needed to make a simple wire transfer.  I don't know why the gentleman helping me or the help desk he had on the phone, couldn't figure out why he couldn't get into the system.  All I got was excuses, then blew me off for other customers, telling me I had to wait while they trouble shooted or go another branch.  In front of the other customers I asked him to please call me when things we straightened out.  Never heard from him.  Went to the Hopewell branch and they helped be right away and in a very pleasant manner.  Been a customer of Wachovia for DECADES.  I haven't seen any fees yet, maybe because my account is still Wachovia but I certainly will change banks if I start being charged for moving money between accounts.  My husband and I do that all the time.  It's reminiscent of being charged a fee to print your own ticket on your own printer.  What a racket and frankly I'm sick of it!

The extra star on Enviorment and waiting time is thanks to the manager i spoke to over the phone who ironicaly was a Wachovia manager. Wells Fargo decided to start charging fees to its new customer, fine that is something we have to deal with alot now a days. However, they do so with no prior notification of change or any type of warning. Bottom line, New fees kicked, my account went over and was charged another fee. Even up to there i was not at a level where i wanted to leave as badly as i have. I went to a branch office and decided to close the account, he stated that the account would be placed in  pending closed status. I trusted his word and left home and decided to close it the following week. I was charged another fee for a trasaction that went into a closed account. I called and asked for a reason on why a transaction went in a week after the account was closed. The person on the phone had a vocabulary of a third grader or was either playing video games while on the job. The only words that came out of her mouth were "regulations" "Policy" "Fee". I was finaly led to smash my phone on the floor and call back 10 minutes later after i was able to calm down. By the way this is the first time i have ever been driven to the point of showing anger when dealing with accounts, and i deal with all the account of everyone in my home which totals four people. I have had moments of rage but never gone to the point of showing it. Wnen i called back ia sked to speak to manager immediately and through the tone of my voice it was evident that i meant it. I was transfered and spoke with a manager that was previously from wachovia, at this point i was already pleased as the level of education was un-parralled as expected. Through her my supposed negative balance of 50 usd was brought down to $1.88 (including the transaction that went in after the account was closed) after this she even refunded the new fee that began this mess in the first place seeing as this was the cause of all my troubles. The dnext day she called back as promised confirming to have closed the account. Wellsfargo has lost 4 of thier account holder today but wachovia still remains un-tainted in my head. Shame they had to change to such a lesser name in all the areas that should matter above all Service. Unless you want to have to speak to ill mannered graduates who were probably working in fast food restaurants before,(which is the probable reasonf or their anger) stay clear OR be sure to run an account that all you do is deposit money

I'm all for good customer service, but the Wells Fargo branch in Eden Prairie, MN is driving me crazy. I dread going in the bank itself because I know I'm going to have 3 people say "welcome to Wells Fargo," and "how are you?" before I even get to my place in line.  The attempt at idol chit-chat is as transparent as the day is long.  If you want to impress me, get me in and out of there and don't waste my time.  Having 3 people ask me how I am before I get in line is not good customer service; it's annoying.

Have been with World Savings as long as I remember. Then was change to Wachovia, then Wells Fargo. Change is always hard that is for sure and I know new rules have come into banking, however I find that the staff is nice but the new rules are hard to accept when I was used to the old way of doing things. I do miss my World savings and the home town feel I had towards it. Now it is just another  bank.

I have been with Wells Fargo for almost two years, and their service varies GREATLY branch by branch. I avoid going to certain branches due to the bad service and one in particular that has the personal banker "hover" by the tellers trying to sell you a new service.

WF was wonderful when my identity was stolen and I had to cancel everything last year.  However, since then their service has nose dived due to turnover and hiring of low to no skill people to take their places.  There is also no accountability or follow up by the managers at ANY branch that I have seen, so the apathy is bred at a high level within their corporation.

I will stay with them due to the pain of changing accounts again, but if you are looking for a new bank I would not recommend them.  They oversell you services for commission, offer no service whatsoever anymore and require you to have multiple accounts you don't need to "save" on accounts.
