I needed to make a simple wire transfer. I don't know why the gentleman helping me or the help desk he had on the phone, couldn't figure out why he couldn't get into the system. All I got was excuses, then blew me off for other customers, telling me I had to wait while they trouble shooted or go another branch. In front of the other customers I asked him to please call me when things we straightened out. Never heard from him. Went to the Hopewell branch and they helped be right away and in a very pleasant manner. Been a customer of Wachovia for DECADES. I haven't seen any fees yet, maybe because my account is still Wachovia but I certainly will change banks if I start being charged for moving money between accounts. My husband and I do that all the time. It's reminiscent of being charged a fee to print your own ticket on your own printer. What a racket and frankly I'm sick of it!

Been at this branch since 1981. It has been downhill ever since Georgia Federal Bank. Wachovia service was terrible.Wells Fargo is much worse. Do not be deceived by Branch Managers who claim they are there to assure service.Thought I would try different branch as this one is horrible. Been unable to get any assistance from four different branches. Cannot get a return phone call after five attempts on a loan modification and equity Line. do not believe anyone at Wells Fargo is a personal banker. All they want is big fees and no service. If you want excellent service- go to Fidelity Bank in Atlanta where i do commercial banking. Always have aname and face ready to solve my needs.
Two weeks later and no call back from "my private banker" Kevin Blake at Wells Fargo- manager now accuses me of lying that I gave Blake my application. Applied online - same result.
Demanded to talk to Kevin who will not talk to me so loan refinance is going nowhere SHE ADMITTED WELLS FARGO IS SHORT STAFFED AND CANNOT FIND TIME TO MAKE CALL BACKS. Absurd thing is trying to take a frozen Wachovia credit line and givee them a first position on another
property so there is equity to cover the credit line. They are too stupid to understand how this helps them and me.Now branch manager says I must be mistaken as to all of the above but admits my financial documents cannot be found.Never addressed excessive late charges caused by their mistakes.

Been with this branch through 3 name changes, never had a problem..till now. Had a question concerning direct deposit from another Wells Fargo Bank. Visited the bank 6/16. The first person I asked couldn't help but if I waited for 20 minutes someone might be free. Left and later called this branch for my answer. They could not help either but she would give my message to the bank manager and he would call me right back. No one called by 6/23 so I calld another bank and asked them...they immediately answered my question. 6/29 still havent heard from Wells Fargo. Should change the name to Wells Forgo

I'm (over 55) disabled and live on a very limited income thus have to be sure what/if any fees maybe incurred as I use my ATM for daily purchases. Thank Goodness I happen to check my account online this morning, after a day (yesterday) of necessary shopping and returning. -- First of all I got screens all about my monthly spending patterns - frankly none of their business - not correct - and NOT what I want from a bank on either a short-term or daily - living - basis. It took a screen or two to find my recent transactions - and they were not up-to-date or current, as in including the last 2 prior (or updates generated today) - but what was there at the top of the list was a $12.50 charge for moving funds from my savings to checking to cover a (small) check that came in, in the middle of that activity. --- That service had previously been provided FREE by Wachovia, for as long as I had an account with them - and was VERY important to me - as I need assistance getting around to take care of daily chores/shopping/business - and one more necessary trip to the bank can put me over the edge (and it's always a matter of simply waiting a day for another check to clear or deposit to come through).
I called Wells Fargo immediately - and 2 different Customer Srv reps repeated to me - several times that 'they have always charged for moving funds over, as such.' I had to press the second one - who finally said that "Wells Fargo" has always charged for that service," ie, not Wachovia. I consider that mis-representation and cannot wait for any hanging transactions to clear out of this bank - and to move on.
I am a liberal and 'open' person and would be glad for any true financial tools that were/would help/ing me - but certainly that is not the case with this bank. And they make us pay - for any 'privilege' they grant - with the use of our own money! Enough!

I've been a long time customer of Wells Fargo and have a "premier" account. I recently had money wired to my account and was charged $10.00. I talked to a teller about it and her response is "this is what we charge, you can talk with a manager if you want to."
The amount seems excessive, I checked with my credit union, Unitus, and they said they don't charge anything for a wire transfer.
I've been thinking about moving my accounts from Wells Fargo and this has been the deciding factor. I'm moving to Unitus.

I have been with Wells Fargo since they bought out Norwest several years ago. I have never had a problem with them. I pay no fees for anything. Even my checks are free. I love their website and contrary to what someone else wrote, they do not charge to go in and look at anything. I love their spending report section, where you can see from month to month how much has come in and how much has gone out and it tells you what's left. It is also easy to see what you are spending in several categories. Perhaps every bank has this good of a web site. I don't know, but I don't see how any bank can surpass Wells Fargo. Whenever I have had to deal with a teller they are super friendly and helpful.

I went to cash a Wells Fargo check for $549. I could not find my license but I had plenty of other cerdit cards plus I had an account with them with over $8,000 in it. I slid my bank card thru the reader and inputted my PIN. That should have been enough. The supervisor, Vanessa Hernandez, said she could only give me $500 and deposit the rest into my account. She said without having a valid ID, she cannot input the expiration date into the system, thereby only allowing then to give me $500. The rest she said will have to be deposited. A whole $49 was at stake. Big Bucks! I told her I didn't want to do that, that the check is legal tender and I am presenting it to be cashed. She said that was their policy because they could not verify who I was. She was rude, and disrespectful. I explained all she had to do is ask me any questions regarding my acount, last ckeck deposited, mother maiden name, you know, the typical questions they ask you when you call over the phone, But noooo! She said it wasn't her job and that wasn't their policy. I told her she was rude and just a naturally nasty person. So off I went to another branch... I presented the check, told them I could not find my license, slid my bank check card thru the reader, inputted the PIN, she asked my a few personal questions, was satisfied, and cashed the check.
I hate Wells Fargo to begin with and my experience with bank #1 is a good example why. I have to admit, Bank #2 almost got me to change my mind. But overall experience is negative. ONe good deed cannot make up for many bad deeds.

25+ year customer and they treat me like dirt since World Savings was purchased by Wachovia and subsequently Wells Fargo. Slow to post deposits but any withdrawals are immediately posted. Their policy of manipulating posting times to create overdraft fees is well documented on the internet.
I am switching my banking to Ent which is local and more concerned with customer service. Dealing with Wells Fargo is now like dealing with a credit company. They are arrogant and snotty when you call their 800 number and I was cut off several times-unintentionally or intentionally?? Most customers probably don't know that there an 8 page legalistic contract (like a credit card agreement)which you agree to by depositing money in their bank and which I certainly never saw or was notified of until I wanted to know what the legal venue was for lodging complaints against them.
I would never recommend this bank to anyone.

A year ago, I would have utterly trashed this branch of Wells Fargo. There was one banking representative who made so many mistakes, it was unreal. And he made mistakes with several members of my family, so it wasn't just me. I complained to the manager and she wouldn't do a thing.
However, Stephanie Wenzel then took over management and the employee in question left or was let go and this branch is now doing a fantastic job! They let me know in every single way that they valued my company's business and my own personal business. John and I couldn't be happier with this bank!
There is an exceptional employee named Sharon (she has a charming British accent) and she is helpful, competent, and very friendly. Everything that you would wish for in a bank teller! She really helped me a lot as I was getting my ducks in a row to purchase a vehicle. And that is what you want: Bank personnel who look after your interests like they would their own.

I have banked at this particular branch since it was Wachovia. I had excellent customer service while the bank was still Wachovia, and after the transition when I had a personal / business banker named Carlos Trevino. Mr. Trevino was a valuable asset to the bank and I have never had better customer service at any other banking center. Recently Mr. Trevino was terminated and since I have had nothing but problems with the bank branch manager. In all the years I have had my business accounts and personal accounts with this branch, any system initiated holds on deposits were lifted. Mr. LEON BIRCH the branch manager doesnt believe that it is in his best interest to provide me with the same customer service. Hence I have closed all my accounts, and will tell everyone I know not to bank at Wells Fargo, and to switch to my new banking facility.

I have had several accounts at Wells Fargo in Tucson since moving here in 2007. I have over $1000 in fraudulent fees to date. I originally opened a trust account for me and my father in 2008. I was solicited to open a personal acccount that resulted in a savings acount for my daughter. My 7 year old daughter and I deposited a couple hundred dollars initially and I took her in to add money she recieved as gifts. She has never made a withdrawl but there is now less than one hundred dollars in her account.
Next, I opened a joint account for me and my father. At some point I went to the branch to discuss unexpected fees that were incorrect. I was told by an employee that the fees would be reversed; but what in fact happened was another savings and checking account was opened in my name with out my knowledge and no fees were reversed. When I realized I was being assessed fees I contacted the branch I was again told that this would be reversed and the account would be cancelled. I was a bit surprised at the casual attitude over this account being opened without my knowledge or consent but settled knowing the fees would be corrected.
My father moved in with me when these accounts started. He had Parkinson's and Alzheimer disease. I have been disabled since a serious automobile accident in 2009. I had two back surgeries and some memory issues. At times I had live in help for me and my father until his death in 2010. It was difficult, but I brought him to the branch on two ocassions at the request of the manager to resolve these issues. I have been there approximately ten additional times to resolve these same issues. I was always told that the fees would be reversed until a month ago when I started being told that I should have been monitering my accounts more closely.
I believe that I acted in a timely fashion in notifying the branch of the unexpected fees. I also believe that I am not at fault because I relied on each employee to follow through on their promise to correct these mistakes. Now that I am being told the fees will not be reversed because I was not vigilant enough. The truth of the matter is that a series of lies from employees has created what appears to be procrastination on my part. I do not believe that I should be required to do any more that expecting the branch employees to be honest and follow through on promises. Now that I have been told you intend to steal money from me under the pretext of fees and my lack of action I will be closing my accounts in two weeks unless this is resolved to my satisfaction.
Very sad ..

I wouldn't even give this company a one star, their fees are high, employee turnover is high, they charge you for looking at deposits online, they charge you for depositing cash into your business account there is a limit on how much cash you can deposit without being charged, they will tell you that they will not charge you for something to get you in there, then they will charge you monthly and it is a hassel to get the charges removed after they told you in the first place they wouldn't charge you. Their credit cards fees are high, this is a very poor establishment in such a small town, it is a shame, beware before you try them, in the long run you will be sorry.

I'm currently looking for a new banking relationship. Based on the reviews read, there is no way Wells Fargo would be a choice. The customer interaction is horrible when there's a problem. If you don't agree with the customer, they should still be treated with couresty. Everyone thanks for the reviews.

The extra star on Enviorment and waiting time is thanks to the manager i spoke to over the phone who ironicaly was a Wachovia manager. Wells Fargo decided to start charging fees to its new customer, fine that is something we have to deal with alot now a days. However, they do so with no prior notification of change or any type of warning. Bottom line, New fees kicked, my account went over and was charged another fee. Even up to there i was not at a level where i wanted to leave as badly as i have. I went to a branch office and decided to close the account, he stated that the account would be placed in pending closed status. I trusted his word and left home and decided to close it the following week. I was charged another fee for a trasaction that went into a closed account. I called and asked for a reason on why a transaction went in a week after the account was closed. The person on the phone had a vocabulary of a third grader or was either playing video games while on the job. The only words that came out of her mouth were "regulations" "Policy" "Fee". I was finaly led to smash my phone on the floor and call back 10 minutes later after i was able to calm down. By the way this is the first time i have ever been driven to the point of showing anger when dealing with accounts, and i deal with all the account of everyone in my home which totals four people. I have had moments of rage but never gone to the point of showing it. Wnen i called back ia sked to speak to manager immediately and through the tone of my voice it was evident that i meant it. I was transfered and spoke with a manager that was previously from wachovia, at this point i was already pleased as the level of education was un-parralled as expected. Through her my supposed negative balance of 50 usd was brought down to $1.88 (including the transaction that went in after the account was closed) after this she even refunded the new fee that began this mess in the first place seeing as this was the cause of all my troubles. The dnext day she called back as promised confirming to have closed the account. Wellsfargo has lost 4 of thier account holder today but wachovia still remains un-tainted in my head. Shame they had to change to such a lesser name in all the areas that should matter above all Service. Unless you want to have to speak to ill mannered graduates who were probably working in fast food restaurants before,(which is the probable reasonf or their anger) stay clear OR be sure to run an account that all you do is deposit money

Wells Fargo customer service is marginal at best and criminal at worst. When I my bank in Nevada verifies that the funds I sent my daughter cleared from my account to her account last Wednesday. Well Fargo declares that these funds are still not available for another 3 days. There must be a policy to impose a hold over a hold despite proof that the funds are in the possession in Wells Fargo depository. I am contacting the Wells Fargo Office of the Comptroller to commence a formal investigation of this branch's activity.
