Very happy with my choice. I travel a lot and needed a bank with national presence, fraud protection, and no cost. They have saved me from fraud charges multiple times which boggles me how they know a charge from dc, chicago, and kansas city were all safe and the charge from florida where i was not present that 10 day period was a fraud.
Credit card flex perks offers no fee with option to get rewards = awesome
Very good website for downloading data on accounts so i can manage a personal budget in excel across multiple sources of data.
Lots more i could say but typing on my phone is getting annoying.

I set up my checking account with US Bank in 2004, and it's been my primary checking account ever since then (direct deposit, etc) even though they have a lot of outdated practices (overdraft notifications are sent through mail, etc). Either way, I considered myself a loyal customer. After a set of backlogged checks got cashed at once in a situation way more complex and boring than is worth getting into, I had overdrafted. I discovered this through arbitrarily checking my account (they never let me change my mailing address, so my over-draft notification was being mailed to an old address). I caught it pretty fast, but wanted to bring my account back into the black, so I went to my primary savings account (a different bank, about 3 blocks away from this location) and took out a chunk of money so I could get my checking account up to a healthy buffer.
I get the money in cash, take the envelope of money straight to this branch, and (this was my mistake, apparently) I deposit it through the ATM (I was late for work at this point so I was in a rush.) I was a bit upset when I checked my account a few days later to see they listed my $1000 deposit as $800.
At this point, I complain via twitter (snarky message, "no one go here they steal from you" etc). I get a response from their social media department, they ask for my phone number and give me a call. They say they'll get the gears in motion and "investigate the situation." A week later, to no fanfare, I get a letter (at my old address, had to collect it) saying "We looked into the situation and decided we were correct." So at this point, there's still $200 in limbo of my money that US Bank, somehow, lost, and of course placed the blame on me.
I don't really like having my bank steal from me (might seem a bit reactionary, but I gave them a certain amount of money, and they lost a chunk of that and didn't make the difference, so I think it's an apt descriptor). I called the customer service line again, had them re-open the investigation (saying, in as plain terms as possible, "I know I gave you $1000. You then took $800. And now there's $200 I don't have") and they re-opened it, and had the branch manager of this location call me. He says that they will get back to me after they look into it.
The next day, the branch manager calls me to say, "So, I understand you needed assistance closing your account with us?"
After 8 years, US Bank stole $200 from me (might seem insignificant for some, but definitely NOT an insignificant amount for me) and when I said, "I'm not appreciating the way I've been treated in this situation, I might as well close my account" the manager of this branch just said, "Well, sir, in our opinion you only deposited $800. So how can I help you close your account?"
Needless to say, I'm never going to US Bank. And I'm trying to do my best to warn anyone else who would ever want to trust A: the bank and B: their ATMs.

If I could give them zero star, I would. I've never written a review before, up until today after having the worst customer service experience of my life. The young female bank teller at this Madison location was beyond rude. She was very condescending and did not know what she was doing. She couldn't even greet me with a nice hello or a nice farewell. The least she can do is show some respect for her customers. Definitely not returning to this location unless they hire some new, competent workers.

bad bad bad Mister Mike Gust the branch manager is rude , disrespectful , incompetent to solve a case and sexist. I do not advice this branch nor this bank. they close your account and keep your money for 21 days in the account when it bring them interest back and then may be when tey are done sent you your money the day they feel like it ! they are inhuman and mean people don't care about anything but their own little suit and salary. hypocrites and self fish, judgemental and poorly knowledgeable.

Nobody picks up their phone. I had to call customer service and when they finally picked up, the banker told me that the manager would call me back before the end of the day. Guess what, they never called back. I had to go personally on a Saturday. I met Aga, the assistant manager. She was alright with assisting me. She said she'd call me after she gets in touch with the manager regarding my account concerns. And until now there is still no sign of them. I'm done! Pulling out all my accounts. Very disappointed customer here! I've been with TCF Bank and Citi for 8 years and no problems with them at all.

A month ago, very early on a weekday morning shortly before Christmas, my husband and I used this U.S Bank to make a deposit before heading back to our home in Canada. As we entered, the entire staff looked up and said "Hello!" with smiles...they looked genuinely happy to see us. We approached Abby's window, she did what we needed, and we quizzed her about closing an account which we don't use. It had annoying monthly fees that sometimes take us into the negative, which is really annoying when living abroad. We planned on closing it in January. Abby gave us her card and told us to give her a call when we were ready to close it. I just called her 10 minutes ago. Abby remembered me and closed the account for us with no problem. It took hardly any time at all!!! I know this is a small favor, but I feel like even the smallest things can cause us soooo much trouble. It was a relief to be helped by an attentive person, that could help me so quickly. Thank you, Abby!!! We will be seeing you again when we are in Ohio.

I am posting a review over the business ethics, dishonesty and complete lack of integrity that your employee Ann Vandehey shows, I have sent letter to her and her supervisors that have gone ignored. This employee has made misleading promises and has issues with personal honestly and has shown no personal integrity. I would warn anyone speaking to her to leave, and if needed to do business with US Bank, proceed to another branch. Hopefully one that has higher standards and holds it employees accountable and to any form of standard.

After a lot of research I chose the US Bank Smith's branch because it is really convenient and the staff is very kind and helpful. It's also a plus that I don't have to do business through a plastic partition and they don't have to get an approval to cash a $300.00 check.

What a horrible branch this has become. My mother and I have done business with this branch since the 1990's and it was terrific then but has gone downhill. Today we went to get into her safety deposit box and the teller after checking our ID's and having us sign said my mother's signature did not match. My mother has a health condition that makes her hands and head shake but when you compare the signatures they were clearly done by the same person. After several minutes of yelling and another signature they finally approved her. The teller was discriminating against my mother because of her health issues. Don't bank here if you want to be taken care of in your old age!

I began going to this bank 2 years ago, when I started working for a near-by business. Back then, the bank was fully-staffed with a group of amazing tellers. They were friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. I never waited in the business line as there was always at least 2 tellers working. They always had their money strapped and ready for change orders and worked fast, even while making small talk. Now, it's an awesome day when I dont have to wait (which is rare), sometimes I even have to wait for someone to come off of their break to get taken. Then, after they slowly enter my deposits, they have to go to the vault to get my change order, then come back and restrap it into the amounts I need. It's a huge hassle and waste of time. The drive through is the same if not worse of a wait time. I really miss the way the bank used to run. I wouldnt mind if the company I worked for switched to another bank or got someone else to do the money runs.

I have been a customer of US Bank since the change over from Security Pacific Bank in South Lake Tahoe. I know the employees from the Manager, Tammy to Jenny and Anna who work at the desk to the clerks, Linda, Kelly, and Vicky. Everyone is friendly and professional and Jenny's takes the time out of her busy day to make a call to keep me updated on my accounts. You don't have to wait very long for service, depending on your transactions you are in and out of the bank pretty quick.

I am really so happy to be a US bank customer. I moved recently from Canada to start my teaching job at OSU. I opened an account at US bank at the branch located in the downtown area. i was so happy to know that one of the tellers and her name is Dalia speaks French. She is very professional and friendly. It is nice to see somebody who speaks French. I felt home again. Thank You.

Always a good experience at this bank - the staff are all so very friendly and take care of any problems and questions I've ever had. I prefer this branch location over any other one I've been to around Columbus

I have had nothing but positive experiences at this location and with this bank. The tellers are very friendly and helpful, and the branch manager, Jennifer, is so nice to work with. I come into this branch almost every day for work, and the staff is always friendly, professional, and quick. I go out of my way to go to this specific location because I've had only positive experiences. I recommend this bank and this branch highly.

Completely a dishonest, cold, and crooked business. I have been a customer here for 2 years, and never had a problem until now. First, I deposited my SSI check into one of their ATMs, and the check ripped in the machine. The part on the upper right corner of the check that shows the amount was rejected, but I was still told by the text on the screen the deposit was credited to my checking account. 2 days later, my card was declined while I was trying to buy my children winter gear and Christmas presents. Confused, I called and spoke with a man who said he was from one of the Oregon headquarters who explained that because the ripped part showing the check's worth came back, when it was time for the check to clear, it "bounced", resulting in them pulling said amount from my account, which was 698 dollars. I ended up somehow 300 in the hole. I explained what happened to me and he said if I called back the next day everything would be credited to me. Well I called, got some lady who was absolutely clueless, and so she said she would have the representative I spoke with the previous day call me. Never happened. So I went down to talk to someone in person, and they basically said I was out of luck and would have to have my check re-issued. When I explained that with SSI it takes up to 6 months sometimes to receive back pay and that I was 300 in the hole, I was told to explain to SSI that it was an emergency. As if that would work!!! So I came back a second time later that day because I was so upset, and all they would do was wave one lousy overdraft fee. I am just astounded and disgusted. I am a mother of 2, haven't payed rent this month, and thanks to this branch, my children won't have a Christmas. I am telling all my friends and family about what happened and that nobody should ever open a account here. They were literally trying to blow me off hoping my overdraft fees would stack sky high until I could deposit another check so they could rob me of even more money. I even presented SOLID PHYSICAL PROOF: The receipt showing the amount was credited plus am image of the check with the ripped corner, and the ripped piece it self. I WILL be canceling all my accounts and severing ties completely.
