. . . this place sucks! Between being told that if I opened the new account right then (and it was the last day/chance) that I would receive a $75.00 incentive, and the fact that they set up the account with the wrong address . . . AND my checks were never ordered . . . and let's not forget the inability to return phone calls regarding any of the above, or to even answer their phone (still trying :-D) . . . this place simply sucks! I'll be transfering this account to my other branch. Sad part is, I was "helped" by the "Senior Banker". You would think the little twerp would have learned something about customer service (and how not to lie) prior to having been given that title. However, I do have to say that my branch downtown is absolutely FAB-ulous!!!

I have been with this bank for quite a few years. It used to be San Diego National Bank, but was taken over by US Bank. During this time my contact there was with DAN STOCKDALE - and he rocks!!!! I can email him or call him and he takes his time to help me, despite the fact that I am not a high volume client - just personal and small business checking. I would suggest US Bank and especially DAN STOCKDALE for all banking needs. He gets back to me quickly and always tries to help!

This bank is a ripoff with incompetent personnel who give contradictory and inaccurate information. They are very slow to process deposits...even cash deposited thru an ATM can take five days. However they are VERY quick to process payments or withdrawals made on a debit card. Consequently, they get to charge you their BELOVED, inflated, hi-profit $33 or $66 overdraft fees.

When my ex-husband left me, he took all the money from our old account and bounced it all to heck, causing me to have serious problems getting an account. U. S. Bank was the only bank in town who would help me out. I have now been with them for 8 years and not once ever had a problem Their staff is always courteous, polite and helpful! I can't imagine banking anywhere else. Thank you US Bank for giving me that second chance!

Not too happy I just flew here as fast as possible from work to make an important deposit and the branch was already completely shut down at 7:55pm. Horrible service, what a waste of time and energy.

This is the worst bank ever!!! They are a bunch of crooks! They charge you tone of fee's even though you have over draft protection. I can understand one but they charged me 3! They the dumbest reward program ever. You have to go to a few select stores just to earn cash back and you have to have $5 before you can redeem them and mine has been at $4.88 for two years! My mother in law banks with chase and they have a great reward program . You get points where ever you use your card. She got a check in the mail for $60 for like 3 months worth of points. BANK WITH CHASE!! I am closing my account at US Bank tomorrow and opening one at Chase!!!

US Bank has their shackles around me and will not let go. Out of desperation I took out a $50,000 loan with them for college. They also told me that I would only have to pay the interest back for 5 years after I graduated. This all changed once I couldn't make my payments. First they told me that it was 5 years from when I took out the loan, not after I graduated (LIE) then they told me that I couldn't defer due to how much I owed. That doesn't make any sense! I'm trying to pay them and they WILL NOT work with me. It's all or nothing with these people. DO NOT take out loans with U.S. Bank. They are a terrible business that should have been shut down a long time ago. I'd like to meet the CEO so I could slap him across the face for what they get away with.

Problem with Western Union service at U.S. Bank Tullahoma, TN

Problem with Western Union service at U.S Bank Branch in Tullahoma, TN
I do NOT have an account with U.S. Bank or at this branch office.
However, I needed to send some money to an individual/business using the Western Union service that is provided by this bank (US Bank #0276). I wanted to use a credit card to pay for the money transfer which Western Union claims that you can do from most Western Union agents. I found out that I could not send as much money as I wanted to send and was told the maximum amount was $7,000. I decided to go ahead and send the maximum allowable amount and put it on my credit card which had an outstanding credit balance much larger than the $7,000 that was going to send. I even showed them an account printout of my credit card which I had just printed out showing that indeed I had much more than the $7K balance. I also showed them a photo ID (driver's license) and told them my Social Security number. All seemed to be going well. However, the teller/clerk then went over and talked to another person and came back and told me that they could not do the transfer because I did not have an account with the U.S. Bank. I explained that I did not understand why because a Western Union transaction of funds should not have anything to do with whether or not I had an account at that bank or not. The teller/clerk then went and talked to the manager and both of them came back and informed me that they could not do the Western Union transfer of funds using my credit card because I did not have an account at their bank. They said that I should go to my bank just down the street and get a cash advance on my credit card and then bring back the cash to them and then they would send the funds via Western Union.
I could not believe what I was hearing. I still don't understand why they could not do this Western Union transfer using my credit card just because I did not have an account at their bank. There was no way that I should have to go get a cash advance on my credit card and then bring it back to them to do a Western Union transfer. If I got the cash from my bank, I would have just sent a cashier's check using overnight mail or Fedex and saved some money (since I would not have had to pay the Western Union fees).
It made me mad, but I didn't say anything. I just left and I knew that I would never, ever set foot in that bank again.
Anyway, I then went to my local Kroger's store who also is a Western Union agent. They cheerfully waited on me and informed me that I could send up to $7,500 using just my credit card. I filled out the forms, showed my ID, etc. and then swipe my card and instantly was approved. I was able to send the maximum allowable amount using my credit card to do a Western Union transfer.
If a local Kroger's grocery store can do a Western Union transfer using a credit card, why can't a U.S Bank do it??? Guess what? I don't have a checking or savings account at my Kroger's grocery store and they did the Western Union transfer using my credit card.
I am totally disgusted and frustrated at the service that I received at the U.S Bank (#0276). They will never get any of my business.

I am a US Bank customer and I called about having something notarized. They won't do it unless it's a US Bank document. First bank I've ever been too where this was the case. They referred me to the UPS Store across the parking lot. Will be looking at other banks. Not sure if this is a California law but the state I'm originally from would certainly do it. For free as long as I am a customer.

US Bank is fine by me, of all the big banks I dislike them the least. When I see a Wells Fargo or Chase sign I want to vomit they both screwed me over so badly they have changed federal laws due to their business practices.
US Bank had a second chance program for people like me who got laid off and their credit went to hell in a handbasket. And I must say I have always been treated nicely by the staff at the bank in Concord by the 99 cent store, but then again I'm a nice person so I attract that, maybe some of the people complaining here complain about everything all the time and they think everything sucks just because they are hard wired that way.

I went to the branch at Southwest Ave on The Hill to take care of some questions I had regarding my statement. I was waiting for a while as a few customers were ahead of me, and the manager (Mark) came out of his office and greeted me and said someone would be with me momentarily. He said he was just about finished with a conference call, and couldn't help at me at this time. He offered me coffee, soda, and water while I waited, plus some candy because it was close to Halloween. As I waited a few other people who worked at the branch said hello to me and asked how I was. One of the tellers walked up to me and asked if they could help since I was waiting for about 15-20 minutes. I explained my problem, and she said one of the managers would have to help me out. Mark again came out of his office and said his call was taking longer than he thought and asked for my name and number and said he would call me asap. I left the branch and recieved a call from him within 30 minutes of me leaving. I explained my problem with the statement, and he said he would take care of it. He then called me the next day to make sure everything was good with me, and thanked me for my business. Sure I waited about 20 minutes, and didn't get helped right away, but I was very satisfied with the great customer service from the manager, and the nice atmosphere at the branch and have referred my family business to them.

Will never bank with them again. The High-to-Low game they play with your money is the the most agregious around. Banks are supposed to be a place where one can go to place their money and trust that it is safe and sound. US Bank is a place where one can go if they are looking to have their money disappear before their eyes with various mysterious and outrageous fees/penalties that add up overnight with their "delayed deposits" and high to low check cashing practices. I definitely recommend US BANK (especially the Burns Ave/St. Paul) branch if one wants to be taken advantage of.....especially in hard times. That's what banks are for, right? It seems it's not your money anymore when you go there...it is their money once it goes in and they try everything they can to take as much as they can before you get it back. UNACCEPTABLE. Bank manager and regional manager of the St. Paul, Minnesota branches are absolute failures when it comes to showing compassion or being there for their clients. The buck is more important.

US Bancorp is genius in it's mad evil to work against their customers and bring down their finances while boosting their own. Among the first to get money from the bail out they boast of the good deed of it paying back. They did this on the back of their customers with pre-meditated malice to purposefully arrange the credits and debits in such a way that a higher percentage of the fee based overdrafts occur. It might be as simple as a mathematician working their software program to work in their favor. Very much like the odds in Vegas are worked. While few banks are above this madness US Bank is the most tenacious. If you are perfect and never have an error in banking or your finances - you may be safe - but for the average guy you would be best to hide your wallet from them. They definitely have their eyes on it and will stop at nothing to take it from you.

Customer service at all US Bank locations I've been to is terrible, especially in CHEYENNE, WYOMING. When I opened my account, they advertised 5-Star service and did not deliver. I've worked for 5 Star hotels, so I know what these service standards and they are not what you would expect them to be at US Bank. Any time I had a problem, the service wasn't even average - it was horrible. Not only were the representatives rude, they were outright argumentative rather than trying to help.
Additionally, the entire company is slow processing transactions (it can take up to a week for any ordinary transaction to post). If you use your debit card and track your spending online, don't plan on it EVER being accurate. I never had any trouble with any bank or keeping track of my money until I banked with this company. Fortunately there are better banks to use and I've found both of my new banks to be so much better. I will never use this bank again.
I wouldn't have posted a review, but they sent me a customer service survey so I figured I'll answer their questions - on every review board I can find. :) It's an insult to provide such poor service and then act as though they're interested.

I recently opened my account at the Safeway branch & the staff there were amazing! They were so kind & helpful with everything. They explained everything out in detail & had a warm smile on their face the entire time. Most of the rude comments below are clearly about a different location. They don't have safety deposit boxes or drive thru. They're inside Safeway! The girls there were so sweet & friendly. I will defintely be banking there as long as they stay open!!

I agree with the latest reviewer's remarks. The branch is awesome! Such a great staff and persoality presentated at each desk. I am currently having problems getting some mortgage/insurance documents passed through US Bank's Home Office and the branch has been right behind me every step of the way! All of the staff knows me by first name and I feel welcome each time I walk through the door.

Hi, I just had to write a review of this bank to counteract al these negative reviews. I opened an account there initially to get a safety deposit box, but have been continuously impressed with the small town personal service. Many of the tellers know me by name before I even give them my card, and remember personal things about me, which I appreciate. It's hard to find this kind of service in a city bank, but they've got it. I can't say enough great things about US Bank. I should add that I switched to US Bank for B of A and never looked back. This location never has a line, and has no fees for many accounts.

Where is Brad? This Bank used to be so good when they had Brad. He was the best. Now all the people here are mean and rude. Even when he was delivering bad news it was ok. He just had a way of puting things that made me want to bank here. If he doesnt come back soon I think I will change banks.
