Extra 10 minutes doesn't apply in Roxbury branch

Due to extra traffic on my way home on 7/6/15 I was running late to make a cash deposit, but was relieved to see a teller at the window when I arrived just a few minutes after 7pm. The teller was talking to another woman who after a few minutes glanced my way, then the teller walked away. I pushed the call teller button, and the woman said "we closed at 7", I told her I just wanted to make a cash deposit, she said "come back tomorrow morning". I know I arrived almost 5 minutes after 7, but I thought TD advertised that they went the extra mile when it came to customer service, and stay an extra 10 minutes...not at Roxbury, I have 3 accounts at this bank, tellers are hardly friendly and barely look up at you inside and at the window. In my experience here, the reps at the desks have been better at greeting customers than the tellers. Disappointed the "helpful 10 minutes extra rule" didn't apply to me. I would have given 2.5 stars, but it wasn't possible, (just like my deposit)

TD Bank Chestnut Hill convenient but customer service fails

I have been a going time of customer of this bank and I am still treated as if they don't know me.. None of the tellers seem to know or care about how transaction affect the account in terms of timing of deposits and debits. I have been told things that weren't true causing account overdrafts even when the money was there then they will not work with you to resolve issues. "They are always right" They just seem to want to make fees off their customers.

Nearly shortchanged on CD interest

I went to redeem two 13-month CDs that had matured. Diane showed me the amount I was to receive. The amount was lower than what I had been expecting based on my monthly statements. She said that was what her "computer" was showing. Luckily I had brought with me my two letters from TD reminding me that my CDs were about to mature. On the top of each letter was the dollar value amount of my CD, which was greater than the amount Diane's computer was showing. So she goes to the area behind the tellers and says she is going to check what the right $ amount should be. Lo and behold, she comes back and tells me that I was right. But she offered no explanation why her computer showed a lesser amount than what I was due. Makes me wonder how many people have been shortchanged on their interest. Lesson here - bring your OWN documentation. Don't rely on what their computers say!
Also, this branch is severely understaffed on weekends, when most people do their banking.

I would like to make you aware of my experience today at my home TD Bank in Deptford, NJ. I arrived at the drive thru at 3:55 pm and the bank is scheduled to close at 4:00. I am behind ONE car in line. This car remains in line and conducting transactions for 32 minutes. When I finally pull up the tubes are closed and I am told by the teller. I am sorry but I can't stay here all night and he walks away. My question is two fold. If I was inside the bank and this occurred would I have been told to leave and secondly is this the written Corporate Policy of TD Bank.
I would like a phone call from the Branch Manager as soon as possible in reference to this matter. I have all my business accounts as well as all my personal account with the bank and have been a member of this branch since the day it opened.
I will be forwarding my concerns to the regional Corporate Offices on Monday should I not receive a call from the branch manager.

u are complaining because u decided to go to the bank at 3:55 when they close at 4????? lolol come on dude thats insane!! I would of told u to beat it too! U should of went inside since u decided to go there 5 minutes before they close and maybe u would of been served but that is insane that u would complain about being turned down for arriving to the bank 5 minutes before they close!! Next time get out of the car and GO INSIDE!! Its not that hard to go inside instead of staying in the car! Dont be lazy when u decide to arrive at a place of business minutes before they close and then complain because they turn u down and then demand on a website that they probably dont even look at to have the branch manager call u back ASAP!! Call there and complain if u are that mad!! U actually think they are going to look at this site and say "oh i better call this person immediately!!" come on be real!

While the response was not polite, The bank closes at 4:10. You have an extra 10 minutes that TD gives for stragglers who barely make it in time. If you're late use the night drop. Employees have things to do that are time sensitive after closing time so if you're not sure n front of then before 4:10 chances are they will be unable to help you. If you were inside and locked in the building that is an entirely different story.

I disagree with comments-if a Bank can’t appreciate that you arrived prior to closing to give them some of your hard earned money to play around with...then I dont care if your inside, your outside your there an hour before closing or 5 minutes before closing take your money and invest else where! Chase seems to be doing a great job at the moment. They treted me like I could take my business anywhere I pleased when I opened a new account 2 weeks back.

I have been with this bank for over 10 years for convenience to where I live ONLY!! There is absolutely NO respect for privacy. Carol will talk about your MONEY, your personal banking "style", what SHE feels is best for YOU, and NEVER in a discreet way! The way I bank is NONE OF HER BUSINESS! Also, as I was waiting for service on a cold day, she offered the person BEHIND me a cup of coffee! I'd rather she not give me her phony bs and just shut her mouth and take care of business. I don't want the whole town knowing my PERSONAL business! I have since opened another account in another town. As soon as I can, I will be moving ALL my money there as well! Good riddance!

I've been with TD Bank over six years and my overall experience at TD Bank was great. Most of the time staffs were very friendly and welcoming. Recently, I went to the bank to cash out big amount of money and was disappointed by the service I had received and even felt very discriminated. This friendly guy teller was helping me out and I guess he had to discuss this with other lady teller and this lady teller was just plain rude. She was stating something like "why is she getting so much money out" with an attitude and annoyance as if I can't understand her, and she was speaking this loudly. So for some reason I apologized and explained myself and lady teller just completely ignored me and rolled her eyes. At that moment I don't know why I have apologized and even had to explain myself to her. I mean it is my business. So while this guy teller went to go get some cash, I checked my balance on mobile app and noticed that my account was low in balance. So I asked if I can deposit some of the money I'm cashing out into my account and this lady teller was making side comments like "oh now she wants to deposit" as if I can't understand her again. So when I heard that comment I explained myself to her and she just completely ignored me as if she did not hear and walked away into the other room. As I was walking out of the bank, I felt very discriminated and wondered if she would have treated other clients that were non-Asian the way she have treated me -- to speak her mind freely as if I am non-existent in that presence. And she wasn't even the one helping me out, I don't understand why she have so much to say.

DO NOT BANK WITH TD BANK. I repeat...... DO NOT BANK WITH TD BANK. I am a college student working my way through school & obviously trying to save as much $ as possible. I've had about 5 situations where TD bank just completely made that hard to do... I had a situation where an unauthorized credit (well 2) showed up on my account from Texas... I live in DE. I was told that the credits to my account would NOT be refunded to me & on top of that I had to pay the overdraft fee!! This has happened 2 times in the last 2 years where I have lost $70 each time because of overdraft fees.. After getting charges to my account which were NOT authorized by me. I've had terrible experiences trying to get refunded the money which I work so hard for. Lastly, I had $700 stolen from me about 1 1/2-2 years ago..... $700!!!!! Someone went through all of the cars Infront of my house & a few neighbors & stole my purse (with all of my information in it; debit card, card #, info to get into my account)! I had about 5 withdrawals from various gas stations from 4-6 am. They were able to withdraw $100 2 times & $500 was taken out at their last stop! I called the police, reported it & they ended up finding my purse in a trashcan at a Wawa about 15 mins away from my house! I called TD explained everything to them, brought this branch a copy of my police report, & kept in contact with the police. They never found out who did it; the police weren't too worried about reviewing the tapes for me at the gas stations because it was a "small claim" since only $700 of my hard worked for $ was stolen. One of the employees at this branch had the nerve to tell my dad & me that it was most likely one of my friends who stole my money!!!!! & that they have no proof that it wasn't a false claim! Even though I had the report right Infront of her! & about a week before that when I went in the first time.. The guy that helped me file the claim told me 9 out of 10 times when situations like this happen the money always gets credited back!!! The money was NEVER credited back to me to this day. The fact that an employee at TD bank would tell a crying 20 year old, devastated about the large sum of money stolen from them was probably a friend or was a false claim is beside me!! Most of the employees are useless & will fight with you to try to make a point, rather than diffuse the situation. Do not bank at TD. I've had nothing but bad & frustrating experiences.

I totally agree this branch is slow and unresponsive.
I opened an account and they made a mistake and recorded my social security number off by one digit.
I presented the proper documentation and I am still waiting for them to correct it

Commerce Bank was awesome BEFORE TD bank bought them out. I have to relocate extensively for my job and I could use any ATM anywhere with no fees, keep my direct deposit and account and live anywhere in the USA...since Toronto Dominion bought them out...there are fees for EVERYTHING!!! I absolutely cannot stand TD Bank...they are unresponsive and it is all about finding a way to "service fee" your bank account dry. Cannot wait to close my account and move on.

lost my money

I have never had problems with TD before, the other day i deposited $600 and the next day I went to make a purchase, my card was denied. I called them several times before I could get someone w=on the phone who could speak clear english. Then they left me on hold for an hour and never came back. Called back and the same guy answered and the same thing happened. It has now been over 48 hours and I am still having trouble trying to communicate with the bank and STILL don't have my money!!

Although the staff has always been friendly and polite, the wait time for everything is UNBELIEVABLY long. I frequent the drive-through and the last few times the wait time has been a joke! I thought the point of a drive-through was for quick transactions and fast service. Not the case here! I think the teller waits on one person at the drive through and then two from the inside line before returning to the drive-through.
Another time, I went in to one of their offices to close out some old accounts and, OVER AN HOUR LATER, it was completed.
We have been TD Bank customers for 18 years because we loved the personal and quality service we used to get. Since the bank has been taken over, the personal service is still there but, maybe because they've cut staff, it's painfully slow to get any trasactions completed.
Also, last year I put a stop payment on a check and even received a note from the bank telling me the stop was in effect. WRONG! Apparently, the person I had written the check to had cashed it approx. 1 hour before and because their computer system updates were delayed, it allowed me to put the stop on the check. Luckily, I had enough $ to cover it in my account.

I hate this bank so much. I'm starting to think that stuffing my cash in a mattress would be better. They have hit me with so many specious fees, I hardly can believe they run a legal operation. Back when they were Commerce I used to be a satisfied customer. Now they are all a bunch of blood suckers and the service at the City Hall branch can be quite atrocious.

Where is the phone number to call the North Arlington branch for info ... or ... perhaps you prefer that I take 1 hour out of work to come in person to inquire about your business hours?
Far from being the most convenient bank; very far! !
