AVOID this bank!!!! They are thieves! I will NEVER do business with Regions again! I deposited a $1000 check in my landlord's account. When I checked my account the next day, there was an $1800 debit. I sent my husband to Regions with a printed copy of the check where it is clearly written "one thousand" to get our money back. First, the teller said there was no acct holder with the name of the landlord. He had the deposit receipt with him and told her this is the acct. After about 15 mins, she finds the acct and says he would have to see a manager to get it corrected. The manager then tells him that the bank would have to call the landlord to make sure the amount was really supposed to only be $1000 and not $1800. First of all, who the hell cares what the landlord says it "supposed" to be?! The deposit should be made for the amount the check is written for! But he called the landlord and of course landlord confirms only $1000. They debit the landlord's acct for the $800 and tell my husband it will take 24-48 hrs to go back into our acct. 36 hrs later its still not there. He goes back and the manager says he needs to go to our bank to have the problem fixed...our bank didn't make the mistake! The idiotic regions teller did, But he goes to our bank anyways and they report that Regions did not issue any refund that they can see, so our bank rep calls Regions customer service and explains everything that happened and the rep said the original time frame of 24-48 hrs was incorrect and it would take 3-5 business days. 7 business days later we still didn't have the $800 back. My husband goes back to Regions again and now they say they can't refund the money without having a conference call with the landlord who has nothing to do with it, and they had already debited his acct 7 days earlier. They didn't give us our money back even though it was the teller's mistake. They never apologized one time and thank God we use an amazing bank (AL Credit Union) bc they credited our acct with the $800 and is now pursuing Regions for the money so we don't have to deal with them. Regions tellers and employees are completely incompetent and that bank should be out out of business. I am calling the better business bureau tomorrow on those crooks!!! Save yourself the hassle and bank somewhere else.

ABSOLUTE TRUTH. THE MOST INCOMPETENT PEOPLE I EVER ENCOUNTERED. Whoever is having money with them should move it to other banks before they encounter problems just as I did. STAY AWAY FORM THEM!

I wonder if they train these beasts or if they just let the rabid animals loose.

Your website says your drIve thru is open till 5 pm mon thru friday , i drove 14 miles , was at your drive thru at 4:40 pm , and it was closed . Very irritating !! You need to change the time it states so people like myself won't drive out of the way assuming your hrs are what is stated . On your website . Not a good way to do business .

I have never experienced the horrible treatment I received when I banked at Regions. Every teller was rude every single time I ever went in. (I work in customer service, and truly, nothing is more important to a business in my opinion.) Once, a teller walked out in-between two cars and wasn't looking and I slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting her. She in turn cursed me out in the parking lot, even after I sincerely apologized! The branch manager the most rude to me; she would even close her window after I stood and waited 10 minutes in line. One day I asked her a question and she said I would have to wait until she was done eating lunch. (At 10 a.m.) The final straw was when I broke down and called the Regions 1-800# to see if they could help. I told the 1-800 lady the trouble I had been having with the rude tellers and branch manager. She said, "Have you thought about sticking up for yourself? Maybe you should try that." I said, "That is the reason why I'm calling you!" She responded, "Tell the branch manager this. Don't tell me." I was astounded...totally floored. That was it. I went to withdraw all of my money from the bank the very next day. They said I would have to wait 30-45 minutes for 'the vault' to open!! One more time to stick it to me. I sat and waited the 30 damn minutes. I will never, ever recommend Regions to even my worst enemy. I feel so sorry for everyone who banks with them. There is absolutely no excuse for bad customer service, especially for someone who always comes inside to do their banking with a smile on their face. It still hurts my feelings when I think about how hateful they were.

I recently met with a VP in the Urbandale office of Regions Bank. I was told that I finally (after the whole bankruptcy process) was in a position with my credit to buy a house. My wife and I spent time with a realtor looking at houses, trying to find the perfect home. When we finally did that, this guy told us that he couldn't get my financing approved after all. First it was I had too much debt, so I worked that problem out. Then it was the loan to income ratio was too high. But, after including my annual bonuses, everything was good to go and I'd be meeting him that afternoon to get the approval letter. But wait, not even 10 minutes later, he sent my wife an email stating that he'd made a mistake reviewing my bankruptcy dates, and that I was not eligible for a loan for another month. Then he had a thought that he could push this thru if my bankruptcy was caused through no fault of my own. Well, since I had had a major surgery, and shortly after I found that my then wife had not paid any bills for months and our house was behind over $6000, thru NO FAULT OF MINE. But NOPE, this wasn't good enough for the powers that be at Regions, and ultimately I'm being told now, after a purchase agreement was signed, offer accepted and everything else being in-line that I have to wait till July. ONE MONTH! I will lose the house that I picked if it's not closed on by June 28, and may lose my earnest money all because this guy couldn't do his job adequately enough to make sure everything was truly in order before giving me the go ahead to find a house. While a month isn't and shouldn't be too much to bear, the mental and emotional roller coaster that this guy has had me on has drained me. How can someone have "Vice President" next to their name and be so clueless as to what their job ACTUALLY is? This is a ridiculous situation and I suggest you avoid using this company for anything! Think I'm alone in this? I challenge you to find one positive piece of feedback out there!

Watch your money, I have battled with them for years, filed with the Federal Reserve and the BBB only to have my complaint unsolved and closed. The old saying "Money talks and Bullsh_t walks" I am in the process of closing my accounts with them after 10 yrs, I'm tired of them making their own rules as they go along..It has taken me a while to do this because we have all our checks directly deposited, and we have automatic bill pay..I suggest to anyone who is looking to deal with this bank to turn around and RUN...THEY ARE HEARTLESS AND RIP-OFFS!!!
by BertButt33 2013-06-21 20:30:49
I made a deposit with this bank and regions at 2800 Lamar and I counted my money more than once to be sure what I deposit and the wait was to long and after waiting the teller comes and tell me I gave her lesser than what my deposit slip said another teller claims to count her whole register down and to my knowledge he wasnt a manger so I'm getting the run around right now about when the branch manger will be back at her location because I feel they need to see how improper the transaction went and why it took her so long to let me no it was short I no people make mistakes but it takes a real person to deal with their wrong doings I hate to be brushed off and banks make so many errors that it's becoming rediculous so much money being stolen from others because of this crocked world we live in!!!
Definitely Recommend this bank

I pay no monthly fee. The office staff are very friendly, if they see someone waiting, they will bring someone from the back to help out so you won't have to wait. Their mortgage rates are very low.

If I could select below poor I would. The Loan officer (Deborah) knew nothing about her job. The Equity Acceleration Prodram that Regions Bank uses is contracted out to another company. So if you have any problems with your house payment(In my case it was there misstake)the bank can not help you. The Accceleration company tells you to see your local bank; The local bank tells you to call the Acceleration program!!! I will be refinancing my house today. Do not use Regions Bank anywhere.

Regions Bank just had their parking lot resurfaced. They didn't want to be bothered, so they had the work done on a weekend. Instead of arranging for the trucks, equipment, and workers to park elsewhere, they parked as far as three blocks away in our residential neighborhood. Then the company doing the work (Dunn Company of Decatur, IL) dropped asphalt on the city streets. Worst yet, when told by Police to clean up the mess, the contractor swept up all the dust and sent it into the neighbors houses. Regions Bank has a responsibility to supervise their contractors. If they can't do that- they certainly won't be supervising my deposits.

These people are thieves. The federal law states you CANNOT charge an overdraft fee for debit card purchases. Well, they do. Even though I have opted out. When I went in to complain, I was told their computer was slow and it was my fault. So they charged me $108 for two $3 charges. After filing a complaint with the federal reserve, Regions sent me a letter saying I opted out of this service. Even though I was NEVER in it. After we got our money back from the bank I was told by a customer service rep, we need to watch our account, because and I quote" we never give money back and we will get it from you again" have since closed that account. And are much happier at Gulf Coast.

I will never go to the Milton location again! The staff is completely incompetent and rude. Even the manager, Allison, refused to call me back when I complained about it.
I am very happy with Regions at all the other locations. Whenever I deposit a check (via drive-thru), I usually put part of the check into savings and put the rest into checking. Usually the staff fills out the savings form for me and send it to me to sign. Then, I receive the receipt and am on my way in usually no more then 10 minutes.
Well, I did the exact same thing at the Milton location and asked for a 10 dollar bill back to use for the toll. It took the girl 15 minutes to just put my money into savings because she insisted that I fill out the form and send it back to her signed. No big deal, but then she argued that I filled out the form wrong even when I said "That's fine. Do what you need to do and I will sign the new one." Even after saying this 3 times, she kept explaining that the computer wouldn't take the form I filled out because it was wrong.
During this 15 minutes, the girl kept helping other people via drive-thru and kept making me wait. Finally, she sends me what I thought was my receipt, but no! She sent me the remaining $300 balance in cash, which was suppose to go into checking. She didn't even listen to me! I took a $20 bill and sent the rest back just so I wouldn't have to go through the ordeal of getting cash back.
Extremely frustrated but calm, I sent the money back and told the next girl that this was suppose to go into checking and that there was $280 total. This girl even knew I had been waiting and she herself continued to help other people and made me wait. She comes back saying that the amount I gave her was actually more than what I said ($315). I told her that I counted it , but that I didn't care and just wanted to put it into checking. Fifteen minutes later she comes back and tells me that she was wrong and in fact it was $280 dollars and that there counter must be wrong. Either way, was this worth making me wait another 15 minutes?!?!
By the time I left, 10 cars that were waiting behind me had already come and gone by the time I got out of there. Do not ever go to this location!

Love this bank. Been banking with them for three years now. All of children and my mother now have an account with Regions. I also my my mortgage with them. They are very helpful everytime I have questions. My money is always deposited withine 24 hours. If you have direct deposit, you will have it the day you expect it. I would highly recommend this bank.

Allison is why my wife and I closed our accounts there. We even had credit cards and a loan through them. Paid the loan off early, ripped up the cards, and closed our checking and savings accounts. That woman is a rude inconsiderate fool.
They will rob you blind.....................................I am disgusted

I am glad to see that I am not the only one having issues with this institution..
They have no idea on what they are doing. They will try and make you look like the idiot and put the blame on you when it is is clearly them. They will find any excuse even after asking a question showing that you did things correct.
My issue, they did not put the deposit in the right account when the account number was written on the back of the check, the debit card that was linked to the account was given and an ID was giving. We were asked what account and they still applied the deposit to the wrong account. This way, they can charge ISF's.. I am floored by the treatment from this nasty branch/company. They will not work with you at all...
Will be closing all accounts as soon as we transfer to a new institution. It has been way over due.

I am shocked to see any negative comments about this bank! This is by far the best bank I have dealt with. Anne is an absolutely outstanding banker there. I've called her on many occasions asking her to open an account, give us a loan, transfer funds, etc. and she just handles it! Banking with Regions makes doing business easy.
Don't go here!

I have had many bad experiences at the Regions Bank Causeway location in Metairie, LA. Things not being processed correctly, rude and very slow service by tellers at the drive up, opened a new checking account after my current one had money stolen from it, lady that opened the account gave me wrong information and didn't fix things on old account that assured me she would. Now the latest, they told me completely wrong information about processing a signature card for a new savings account and I haven't had access to the account now because of that wrong information given to me by them and the Regions customer service line. I'm quickly losing faith in Regions bank. If you use this branch, be very careful!

After banking with First Citizens, Wachovia (now WELLS FARGO) and All South, we switched to REGIONS BANK in the Village of Sandhills. We have been with them probably now for 2 years. Our experience with Regions Sandhills has been second to none. They take care of you the old fashioned way. You are treated like a number, rather a human being. I give them my highest recommendation based on my experience with those other local banks.

THIS IS THE WORSE BANKING INSTITUTION I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF DEALING WITH. THE 9421 Baymeadows Road
Jacksonville, FL 32256 MAKE NUMEROUS ERRORS, ASSUMPTIONS, ACCUSATIONS AND OUTRIGHT DISCRIMINATORY ACTIONS/COMMENT. REFUSED TO TALK TO ME BECAUSE MY ENGLISH IS LIMITED EVEN THOUGH I HAD SOMEONE WITH ME THAT TRANSLATED WHEN NEEDED, THEY SAID TO SIT DOWN THEY'D GET A TRANSLATOR ON THE PHONE, I TOLD THEM I DIDN'T NEED ONE, OVER THREE HOURS LATER, I HAVE YET TO SPEAK WITH A TRANSLATOR. THEY KEPT ME AT THE BANK FOR OVER THREE HOURS, REFUSED TO GIVE ME ANY OF MY MONEY CLAIMING SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY ON MY ACCOUNT TURNS OUT THEY WERE READING THE INFORMATION WRONG, TALKING ABOUT WIRE TRANSFERS FROM MY ACCOUNT TO BUSINESSES, THEN IT WENT TO CHECKS BEING DEPOSITED THEN THEY HAD TO GET A TRANSLATOR THEN THEY NEEDED TO VERIFY ALL MY DEPOSITS, CALLED MY ATTORNEY, REQUESTED COPY OF ID'S TO VERIFY SIGNATURES, THERE WAS NOT ONE WIRE TRANSFER ON MY ACCOUNT. MY HUSBAND HAD TO LEAVE WORK TO COME TO THE BANK BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY MONEY WITHOUT HIS NAME BEING ON THE CHECK EVEN THOUGH HIS NAME IS NOT ON MY BANK ACCOUNT. I GUESS THE WAY I FELT WAS THE WAY A CRIMINAL FEELS, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS, I DID NOTHING WRONG AND YET WAS TREATED LIKE ONE. WE WERE THREATENED TO BE THROWN OUT THE BANK IF I DIDN'T SIT DOWN AND REMAINED QUIET BY AMANDA LAKEY AND A GUY NAME ERIC, AT THIS POINT, LISA CAN ONLY RUN BACK AND FORTH CHATTING WITH THE STAFF AND GETTING NOTHING DONE. IT TOOK ME REQUESTING TO SPEAK WITH HER SUPERIOR BEFORE ANYTHING WAS DONE. THE MANAGER WAS BAFFLED BY THE LENGTH OF TIME THEY KEPT US THERE FOR NO REASON WHAT-SO-EVER AND MORE IMPORTANTLY ALL THIS TIME NOT REPORTING ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES. THEY DID NOTHING WHILE THEY WAITED, ONCE THE MANAGER ANGELA CAME ON THE PHONE, SHE INSTANTLY CONFIRMED THERE WAS NO REASON FOR ANY OF THE EVENTS THAT TOOK PLACE, THEY HAD ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR ANY OF IT. LISA AS THE MANAGER SHOULD HAVE ASKED US WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM NOT JUMP TO CONCLUSION AND JOIN THE BANK WAGON OF HARRASSMENT. THE BRANCH MANAGER LISA ANDREWS LACKS PROFESSIONALISM AND MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WALKED INTO A BAR INSTEAD OF A BANKING INSTITUTION. IT DOES NOT PROVIDE THE CONFIDENCE SOMEONE NEEDS IN THEIR BANKING INSTITUTION OR FINANCIAL MATTERS FOR THEIR HARD EARNED/LIFE LINE. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR FUNDS AT THIS BANK. IT'S QUITE SCARY. I GIVE THIS BANK -100 OUT OF 10. THEY ARE BY FAR THE WORSE BANK I HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD OF. HARD TO BELIEVE THERE IS ONE WORSE THAN BANK OF AMERICA, I WAS WITH BANK OF AMERICA FOR 12 YEARS, BUT REGIONS BANK IS BY FAR WORSE THAN ANY BANK I HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD OF.

Not a great place to work. The manager was horrible who was Mitch Oakes at the time. He was so unprofessional. Don t work for this company if you hate toxic workplaces. Jeanna Dearman is especially a horrific bully. I and another colleague quit due to her unprofessionalism. We both reported her to Human Resources and the CEO but nothing was done about it And we were all together ignored. Unless management has changed. I would steer clear of this location. Even though I was making good pay. It wasn't worth the stress and mental torment dealing with the manger and her. Only God can be the judge. If they don t pay in this life then they will pay in the next life to come, which is hell. To end with a serious note, this was not a fun place for me to work. Anyone suffering from workplace bullying knows what I mean. I just thought it would be helpful to let people know what there're getting into before choosing to work for this company and at this location. I wish somebody would have told me.

Bank tellers were alright and the woman manager was helpful. When you walk into the bank on Blue Angel Parkway, there's a office with 2 cubical's. The first one on the left is where I had my problem. The man was rude, disrespectful, and didn't care whatsoever. I have never had anyone be so inconsiderate in my life and he is the reason I am changing banks. Long story short he could of helped but didn't just made the situation worst. Call centers told me I have to deal with him so no help there either. I loved my old bank but changed because I moved, now regretting it.

Regions is the best bank I've dealt with. I like credit unions better, but their locations are not convenient. This branch is around the corner from my house, and I can walk to it if I choose. The staff is friendly, knows who I am when I enter the branch, and even knows me at the drive through. I haven't had this good a banking experience for about 30 years when all banks were local or regional. My overall bank rating is a 4 instead of a 5 because they started charging me a monthly checking account fee when all the banking rules changed. But, hardly any bank offers free checking anymore.

Every Friday I roll up to the window to make a deposit where Donna is usually there to greet me with a smile and usually a few encouraging words.
I usually don't do a whole lot of dealings with them--my account is maintained at a good balance where I mostly just make deposits, so there aren't really any issues that I've had to deal with.
One time, I wanted to fax something (to Canada), and they were going to charge me $5 a page. That was a little crazy....but hey, it's a bank, not KINKOS! :)
Before Donna, the staff seemed to be a little "stuffy," but now they've got a couple nice ladies in there.
So far, Regions has been a decent bank!
