My wife and I are business owners and have been inquiring information about PPP  loan forgiveness. They are not even registered with the SBA for automatic forgiveness application. The "manager" took care of getting our account (now closed) reset to go into their portal to apply forgiveness, which their portal is never up to date, Turns out she just updated the address. All they know, is how to create a ticket and will call you back which never happens. I tried again twice at different dates and have been on hold for over an hour with no response. When walked into the office the first time, the "manager" did not even know how to go about this information. Also, online there is no help, nor calling the customer service line. Very unhappy and unsatisfied with their lack of training and response. But you are offering to refinance my home? No Way! Good luck with everyone who applied for PPP through Regions, you will have to pay it back. I have track record of all I am typing in this review.

The wife and I have dealt with many banks over our 57 years of marriage. One of our businesses was in South Memphis and we used a convenient branch of regions (nothing special,) it served our needs. We moved this business to Mississippi and opened a business and a small personal checking account to the branch at Senatobia. The business account ran from 200,000 to 300,00 at all times.
One day three of our employees came to this branch to cash their paychecks. The checks were written by my wife on this Regions account---they charged my employees $3.00 per check. They said it was bank policy because the employees didn't have an account there.  We took our money and no one said "I am sorry".
When my wife ask to close the account and give her a cashiers check, they said there would be an $8.00 charge for the check. I am not going to tell what happened, you don't know my wife.

I took my mother to regions where I Bank to open up a new account through Green Life, we were both supposed to get $50 for opening the account however we were tricked and putting my name on her account for emergencies which made us not qualify for the $50 and they never said anything to us about that or my name would not have gone on that account I could have put it on there after I got the $50. Also I called them inquiring about my account I was told I would receive a call back in 48 hours that was a week ago and I have received no phone call. to those of you out there thinking about banking with regions I truly want to tell you to think twice they do not care about their customers just themselves.

So I was told by the Branch Mgr Ewa Frackiewicz that if I enrolled all of our bills under bill pay and set up our kids accounts under us along with all our savings accounts that we would accumulate rewards points that would not expire.  She herself said she had points from years that she didn’t know about and someone called her to redeem them which totaled $500.  So I was very eager and bought into this lie!  Well fast forward a year.  We move to Chicago Illinois where they have no Regions and so it becomes inconvenient to have everything grouped under one entity.  Our kids open accused elsewhere which decreases the number of accounts we control.  I call to have our points converted to cash and I’m told we have no Reward account.  So I have no cash to be converted.  I received emails for more than two years about our points balance.  Then after our move I notice they have stoppped. I’m now told the points expire.  And my Rewards account is closed.  So who closed it?  Because we didn’t.  So they transfer me to the Reward Dept and the recording says call volume is higher than usual and to call back later or go online to redeem points.  Then hangs up!  Thank you Regions for nothing and lying about your services and offers.  I’m so glad we never put all of our eggs in one basket.  I will be closing everything. Oh, and the branch phone number where I set up all of this and was told the lies is no longer in service.  Regions is a not a bank to do business with!  I feel like this is fraud when you’re lied to just to have business.  I’m glad I never used their credit cards and mortgage loans etc.  They tried for years to get us to convert those things but we stood confident in where we were.  This is a warning!!! Don’t do business with Regions!!!

I have never in my life written a social media review of any business but I've made an exception for Regions Bank. I'm just a regular everyday person trying to make a living and getting along, like so many Americans on a paycheck that's gone the day it hits the bank. I chose Regions Bank because I liked the idea of a "personal banker" - an obvious figment of the bank's imagination.

I will spare you the long story about unauthorized charges using my Visa Debit card or the NSF fees charged on legitimate, authorized charges that were made PRIOR TO the posting of the fraudulent charges or to Regions taking money out of my direct deposit paycheck to cover unauthorized charges and NSF fees even though they were notified well in advance of the fraudulent charges even posting, or the inability to obtain a temporary debit card (bank personnel telling me Regions is not technically savvy enough to do that), or the fact Regions, unlike any other bank in this country is unable to put funds back into an account until the dispute is resolved - a process that could take up to 10 BUSINESS days (which of course creates additional delays since the bank was CLOSED 6 out of 10 days, or to the "personal banker" who told me that the bank would not reverse any NSF funds until the "investigation" was totally processed not caring a bit that I have not had access to my funds over a holiday season.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BANK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! SPRINGFIELD, TN BRANCH.

Although I only have a business account with them, I will say that most banks are like this when it comes to charges you didn't make( I had a similar thing happen with my personal bank and I was still cleaning up the mess even after a year).

Over the last two weeks I have had nothing but problems from Regions. First on October 21st I went to REGIONS ATM where my card was detained and destroyed for no reason at all. I spoke with bank customer service they apologized for their faulty ATM and informed me that another card will be mailed out in 5-10 business days. Mind you this is a Friday evening my car insurance is set to automatically withdraw from my card on the 26th. I told them that I need it sooner then that and is there anyway they can expedite it so I can be able to pay my bills. They told me I would I have to pay 35 dollars for a new card to be delivered by Tuesday 10/25. After speaking with a manager it was sent out for free and delivered on Tuesday morning. The card that was delivered have a expiration date of 10/16 and has declined EVERY TIME I'VE TRIED TO USE IT. I called bank and was told that they misprinted my card and I'll be receiving a new one that I have yet to receive. This banks has caused me so much mischief that I'm looking into a new bank.

I have a car laon with regions. it is fine. but the Angie at the branch left me an message to call them. I thought it was about my loan.  I tried to call them they would not answer the phone.  I called the main line and they did not know what was going on but texted Angie and she was told there was a promo going on and to call the bank. I explained the bank would not answer the phone today. so i spent 45 minutes at work trying to find out what is going on about my loan just to discover i am being harrassed by phone to open an account.  I would quit using money of regions was the last bank on earth.  who would want to deal with this insanity.  no thanks.

My daughter was attempting to set up an account.  Regions took her money then froze the account because she had not provided proof of residence to satisfy the bank.  Her address is my home.  I had to go there twice.  First time, I showed my drivers license, tax receipt for the address, voter card, and tag renewal for the car I was driving.  That was not sufficient until I brought in the water bill.  The water bill was not even in my daughter's name.  Really?  They take a water bill over multiple forms of government documentation?  We will be finding another institution for our banking needs.  Ridiculous

This particular branch has terrible customer service. I was in this morning attempting to make a mortgage payment and ended up having to leave the bank and go deposit the check in another bank account to that I have in order to make the mortgage payment back to regions bank. Telller was extremely rude.   For exceptional customer service, go to  Fifth Third Bank.   They actually understand how to do business.

Customer Service is how you stay open, and apparently this person needs a lesson. I have banked with Regions since it was First American and so has my dad, that's over 29 years! every Thursday I take my paycheck for the same amount through the drive thru and have them put it in as cash for years! I have a good standing account and a savings account with triple my paycheck in it. Today I was told they were not going to continue putting my check in as cash because its a SunTrust check. And then had the nerve to say I'm only showing you have been a customer for 6 years!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!! SPEECHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't be doing business with Regions again.
I came to Regions for a Construction Loan.  They strung me along for 5 months, saying they could do a lot and construction loan.  Then, changed their mind.  It was actually a mistake, but no one would admit they did anything wrong, or apologize.  They wasted my time and duped me.
Sue Finsterer was nice, and I even had to talk to her manager Ron Rawson, but they never could admit they messed up bigtime.  I have perfect credit score, and it was a large loan - so clearly even great clients don't mean anything to them.  I'd hate to see how they treat people with lesser qualifications.

I went to make a deposit at the ATM machine outside and the machine ended up taking my card and my money stating it was a technical issue and to visit the nearest bank. I went in with my ID and printed receipt of what the message said. I was completely ignored by the bank teller walking from the office to the counter and the drive thru teller ended up greeting me. She then sent me to the same woman who had ignored me. I was an upset customer because of the incident. In no way did she apologize for the issue. She simply stated that they do not have any control of the ATM machines and that all she could do is file a claim for me to get my money back and issue a new card in 5-7 business day. She then said you know things just happen. I was so appalled by this customer service. I understand procedures but the attitude of not caring whatsoever made me more upset. Now I am without my money because I have to wait for a new card and wait for my claim to be approved! I find it crazy that Regions pays to brand the ATMs outside yet take no consideration when there is an issue with one. I have banked with Regions for almost 6 years. Yes I have encountered other problems but was guided with a representative that always was kind enough to help. Never will I visit this branch again!

I have been receiving the same check from a specific contract job for 6 years.  I used Bank Corp South for this check for 5 years, then changed over to putting this check in my regular bank account I have held for 15+ years. The check has ALWAYS been good and the bank has had no difficulty receiving the funds from the issuing bank. HOWEVER, Just about every month the tellers give me grief about depositing the check  (worth $6000 or more) Today my wife was not allowed to deposit the check because the teller said she could not tell if the date was Sept or OCT 2015.  If it were either, wouldn't the check be good to deposit?  Now we are going to have to figure out how to deal with this.  We have NEVER bounced transactions before and I hope their refusal to take a perfectly good check they receive from us each month does not cause this to occur now.   Community Bank just moved in across the street.  Might be where move our accounts.

My mother suffered a stroke two weeks ago. After hospital, I brought her to her home - Humboldt and placed her in Bailey Park Nursing and Rehab Facility. Today I went to your local bank and spoke with 'Jennifer' with a request to put me on her checking account (I am her only child - her son) so we could pay some bills. I was told that was not possible unless she PERSONALLY came to bank and made that request. Under protest, I left and called 1800REGIONS and let mother FINALLY speak with someone. Her call was repeatedly rejected because she was using her cell and NOT calling from her home phone. After finally reaching a human and an hour of conversation, my mother provided all requested information - then we were given the same answer and with no alternative solution - either she came to the bank in person or me (her son) would not be put on a signature card for her checking account. I suggested a Notary with a signature - they said no, that was not possible. Mother provide SS #,DOB, Account # - nothing was worked. I walked a block down the street, spoke to one of your competitors and asked what they would do in a similar situation. She said they would simply drive the 1/2 mile to the nursing facility and validate that this was the wishes of my mother - DONE DEAL. I will see that this goes viral and see that everyone I know in this small town learns of your callous and stupid response to my very serious problem. Your business with me my mother and in this small town will cease to exist - I promise to make everyone else aware of how we were treated today. You're not seen the end of this message or the end of me - you have seen the end of my business and I hope many others. Have a great day and ask yourself what you would do when someone keeps telling you that a bedridden woman CANNOT get to the bank, but her son is there and she is only 1/2 mile away. There answer never changed - it remained the same. This branch and the stupid people who work there need some training - in customer service and COMMON SENSE.

That was horrible I am glad that you was able to resolve your problem with another bank.  It makes me think if I had a similar situation.  I think I will research for me a good credit union because credit unions are more personable to me.
thanks for info

Obviously banks cannot allow people to waltz in and add themselves to customers accounts. Their response was protecting your mother from having her account hi-jacked. This situation is why it's imperative to have a back-up plan and maybe POA or additional signers before an accident or emergency happens. How pissed would you be if they had added some stranger (who claimed all the same things you have) to her account? You would question their common sense then, too. Unfortunately, thievery is so prevalent honest folks often pay the price.

I was forced to visit this branch on six separate occasions within a 2 week time-period.  On 4 out of 6 of the occasions there was a "problem."  My interactions began with a greeting from Hope, the obese cashier, "Hi, welcome to regions!"  I stepped forward to the counter only to be told, "I'm on lunch, you will have to wait."  This was at 3:30pm.  I was the only customer in the bank, yet I was forced to wait 15 minutes for another banker to meander to the service desk.  The natural question arose:  if this woman was on lunch break, why did she greet me, and why was she sitting at the counter for the entire duration of my visit?

On my next visit, the obese Hope greeted me again, and informed me once again that she couldn't help me because she was leaving for lunch.  This time it was 12:00pm so the lunch excuse made slightly more sense, but there was no apology.  After several minutes passed, I was helped by a short, flamboyant Mexican man named Ricardo.  After shuffling around and punching endless keystrokes into his computer, Ricardo informed me that he was "locked out of the computer system."  I stood and waited... and waited and waited.  About 15 minutes later, a manager named Sheryl arrived and immediately announced that she couldn't help me, but asked that I go to Jackie's office.  I explained what I needed to Jackie at least three times before she finally understood.  Then we took a walk back to the service desk.  Jackie scowled at Ricardo, whom informed her that he was "locked out of the system."  In hushed tones they bickered back and forth, and I was able to determine that Ricardo had forgotten his password.  45 minutes after I walked into the bank, I was finally able to walk out... forever... never to ever return to that hellstorm of incompetence ever again.

If you don't mind being treated rudely, or having to cycle through 4 separate employees over a 45 minute time-period, then by all means visit Regions Bank.  Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and take your banking needs somewhere else... anywhere else.

Jenna Graham, the branch manager and Tasha Beck, the operations manager, at the Palm Beach Gardens branch are so rude, impolite and always have all around terrible attitudes.  Not helpful at all.  Obviously they're in the wrong industry if they don't know how to deal with  customers properly.  I will never deal with this bank again.  I will take my money to a bank that appreciates their customer's business.

How is this place open? And the only branch in town!! I have had an account for 11 years and the Russellville branch is absolutely wonderful. I couldn't hate this one more. The staff is absolutely the worst. Conflicting answers, rude tellers, a manager who is obviously not qualified. Every time I'm forced to go in there I leave with nothing but frustration. I want to close my account just because of them. I now travel two towns over just to avoid them. Please get new management and an entire new staff. Not one person is professional there. I asked for a simple balance inquiry and was denied by the teller/ass. manager. Wanted to cash my friends check without causing his account to be over drawn and she would not attempt to check the account for sufficient funds so that I would not cause a fee to my friend. What a joke tried to help my friend not have issues with his bank and I get a sh*t deal from your employee. I am happy that you are a failing bank and will soon be out of florida. what a waste of life. Thank you for making me lose an hour of my life over something so easy and simple as asking if the check will clear. Never Ever going NEAR a regions bank in florida the rest of my life and you can bet your bottom dollar that I will inform my friend and everyone else to withdraw all their funds from your banks.

You can't cash checks payable to other people and/or entities. As for the balance inquiry maybe they didn't know you and you didn't present an id.

To the commenter above: Yes you can. That person signs their check over to you and you deposit into your account and take it right back out. I.e cashing their check.

No bank will give you an account holder's private/financial information. Thank god for that! Just call your friend or, if so concerned, get cash from him/her. I'm glad the Regions employee did such a good job - and with many customers, it's not an easy job at all. Try smiling, try patience and kindness. I'm sure the employee did that for you, because that's how they are at Regions Bank!

No bank is allowed to release any details unless your the account holder! It was your friends account not yours so why would they tell you anything that is private information.

Yes a bank absolutely can tell a customer if a check they want to cash is good or not, as long as the check is drawn on that bank.  Without disclosing the person's account balance, they can confirm that a check is good as of the date they are asking.
