I have been going to the Manahawkin branch of Ocean First  since your bank in Barnegat closed. I definitely was not disappointed by the switch. The staff is professional, efficient, helpful, knowledgeable, and very patient. One person in particular, Elaine Sprague always goes above and beyond to assist me. Especially at Easter. Filling 530 eggs for my grandchildren‘s egg hunt with the right bills and coins is quite an undertaking. However, Elaine takes the time each year to make sure I have all the money that is in good shape.  An added plus is that her smile is so contagious. You simply can’t be down around her. She is so positive. Thank you for  having such amazing and kind people working at your bank, particularly Elaine. Bottom line is your employees at the Manahawkin branch are truly exceptional!,

New CD rates… new money

Recommended this bank for 5.25 APR 6 month CD.  Walked in with $xxk… agent at desk counted in front of me and wrote me a deposit slip for same amount.. she then took $$$ behind counter for 15 min only to return and tell me I was $1k short.  I remarked that you counted it in front of me and she said “sorry I must’ve missed counted.” I did my own auditing at home, trusting that she was correct, but wasn’t the case.  I talked to others in authority (police and lawyer)  who said I should’ve never left the bank without my money but instead, I went back to take it out, and they said I had a pre-withdrawal penalty!!!!!! The manager, waved the amount and gave me my money back after two more trips to the bank. That is pretty unprofessional that a banker miscounts your $$$$.  I stressed over this and lost a week of sleep… I can’t speak for others but I am widowed and retired and I can’t afford to lose any funds needed to survive. I would have only made $325+ dollars on the CD and LOST $1,000!!

Thank you OceanFirst Bank. We recently experienced a malware attack on our computer system. We faced a lot of changes to our banking and business routine because of that attack. The OceanFirst staff showed more knowledge, caring and concern than any other business we had to deal with during this frightening experience. We could alway turn to you guys when other tech businesses just didn't give a damn. We survived because of people like Jayne and Silvana, at the Little Egg Harbor Branch, who remained patient no matter how much time it took. Also a big thank you to Danielle for the impromptu seminar on hacking techniques. You folks are the best!
