I have been a customer at this location through three bank incarnations (the original Fairport Savings, bought by Evans Bank, bought by NBT). Sadly, since the days of Fairport Savings, the service and expertise at this bank have continued to deteriorate and my first (and hopefully last) experience at this newly procured branch reinforced that trend. No greeting upon entry (despite the obnoxiously loud doorbell announcing customers’ entry), one customer in line, wait time far too long for the absence of business, and 4 employees on the floor. The teller who helped me was in fact lovely and professional and I understand she was troubleshooting for her customer. However, the lack of any acknowledgement or support from the rest of the employees is a travesty. One woman was in fact sitting and staring only at the teller. Now I can imagine that she was training the young woman, but also, she was a statue. No greeting, no prompting, no movement, no support, no nothing. Just a death glare at the teller she was 6 inches from. It was eerie and discomforting and fairly insulting since they had a customer in line. Almost closed my accounts when Evans bought out Fairport Savings. Definitely plan on it given the utter lack of customer service now present on the premises.

It seems that every time I try to go to this branch which is my home branch the ATM is down-I have told the people in the bank about this and it just happened again last night. With the hours that this branch is open I can't get there before they close, I called Friday and was put on hold for 20 minutes and I hung up, today I called and I was put on hold and then hung up on, I have had just about all I can take so I will be pulling my accounts and going somewhere else to do my banking

I went to this Branch on an early Tuesday morning in February to open a checking account.I was very pleased with the Staff Member that helped me.His name was Nicholas & he was competent,helpful & polite.My presence was immediately acknowledged when I walked into the bank (which is a great thing because usually I'm ignored when I'm trying to conduct business). I like the no service monthly fee & I was in & out in less than 10 minutes! I'm looking forward to a long-term banking relationship with NBT Bank! This is a real review because I'm a real person!
