These guys are the worst. The only reason I did not change my bank is because I have so many things tied to my account. Exhausted by the stupid people, high turnover and incessant fees, I had to leave. You should too, trust me they don't care and despite banking there for 5 years I still can't get a loan or decent service.

I loved banking with Chase, and there are still aspects of their service that I will miss, however after my last experience here I will be changing who I bank with. NEVER in the history of my banking experience have I had such a hard time simply accessing my account. I convinced my husband to open an account here (he wanted to stay with Wells Fargo) and he received a card shortly after- I had been told my old Chase card would work with the new account, which it did not. I was told a new one would be overnighted to me-it never came. I needed to leave for a business trip with no debit card in my wallet so I asked to have my new card sent to the town I was traveling to. It never came. Had to borrow cash from a colleague-terribly embarrassing. I got a call while I was still out of town three days later on a Saturday that my card was AT THE BANK, not at my home and being that I was not around my Mom had to go pick it up. I got home and tried to activate said card- wouldn't activate. Called the bank again and was told a new one will be at my house by tomorrow. Not holding my breath and ready to switch to a new bank as the employees here don't seem to have any interest or concern for what an ordeal this has been for me or how to overnight packages for that matter.

I refuse to directly bank with Chase and was reminded again today why that is a wise choice. I had a manager inform me that postdating a check is illegal. This is untrue. I quoted the following to him:
Article 3, section 113, sub-section (a) of the Uniform Commercial Code states:
(a) An instrument may be antedated or postdated. The date stated determines the time of payment if the instrument is payable at a fixed period after date. Except as provided in Section 4-401(c), an instrument payable on demand is not payable before the date of the instrument.
The manager's response was he learned in his training at Chase that it was illegal which further proved my point of a lack of knowledge and/or concern by Chase for the laws pertaining to the bank industry. Good luck to those who continue to do their banking with Chase.

The manager, my fiancé, Joe Origer was NOT EVEN THERE last week due to a flu. So it must have been the ABM.

I was at the Chase Bank in Glenwood, Illinois 60425. I signed in to see a banker, there was no other customers waiting. I waited for about 15 mins before I left. The Branch Manager and another employee sat in a cubicle by the door. No one offered me any assistance. Why should I have to leave my community to get good customer assistance. Very poor service at this location.

In October 2013 my husband and I decided to split. We had been banking with Chase for over 20 years, and loved the bank, however after notifying Chase that I would have to close our joint account and open a new account under my name Chase has become neglectful of my privacy, and making sure money that was in my account was not taken by my spouse.
When I closed the account Chase let me know there was a pending debit made on the account by my husband, said they would close the account and contact him of his responsibility to pay this debit, and to open a new account. I had my direct deposits transferred to the new account, and was feeling pretty safe. This is until my husband went into the branch in which we bank at, told the teller I had his money in my new account, and Chase withdrew all my funds. I was able to prove this was my money from a direct deposit, however after the investigation was completed, Chase told me my husband had changed banks, and all they could do was write a letter requesting the debit be paid back. This never happened.
Furthermore, the debit in the old account that my husband charges was taken from my new account, the band says because it was a joint account I am too responsible, that because I had a positive balance there was no need to contact my husband to request clearing this debit because my balance had taken care of it.
Furthermore, after everything going well with the new account and the direct deposit the first month, I felt no issues would come up. However, after my husband closed his account, and Chase held me responsible for the debit in the closed account, and after I raised hell with Chase for allowing my husband to debit my new account without authorization, Chase is now telling me for the last three months that my direct deposits are not set up correctly, that they are going into the old account and sitting there without thought to redirect to the new account.
After contacting Chase after the first month my direct deposit suddenly was not being deposited to the new account, Chase says the payer must not have the new accounts routing or account numbers correct, that I need to contact them, of which I did, and they have the correct information, and have been sending my money to the correct account information. Chases response is that they are trying to cover their own butt because it is clear they are not doing what they said they are doing.
I requested an investigation to be done regarding my direct deposits not being posted into the correct account, after they had been the first month.
Chases investigation proved favorable on my end to that, Chase showed that the payer was indicating the correct routing, and account number, however Chase now felt I am a risk for them because my husband created a overdraft balance with the old account, in which Chase took from me. So, because I am still banking with them I am be held in a high risk label with my new account, and Chase holds my direct deposit in limbo for several days.
My account is now being treated correctly, but I am looking for a new institution to bank with now, but am a little gun shy.
I just want to know how Chase can authorize a non-signer on an account to take money, and not protect my rights to security, why Chase held me totally responsible for my husbands debit, and why when the direct deposit was working fine in the new account, that after these problems hit, my direct deposit went to the old account and sat in limbo, with the understanding that I was a high risk banking customer because of my husbands activity.
And anyone know of a honest banking facility?

This branch started off by tripping all over themselves, trying to be SO helpful, practically before I could even get in the door. It quickly went south. Before I knew it, there was no one around to greet me, I had to search out someone to help me when I needed individual attention, and each and every time I dealt with a 'banker' I was lied to, over and over. The manager is of no help, and it appears that there is no concern that when a customer walks out for good, as I have, that they don't realize that I'm not just taking my business with me, but many people who have mucho, mucho money in the financial world also. When will they ever realize that no matter what they try to do, ultimately, it's the customer that either puts money in their pockets or takes it out? It would behoove them to put better effort into the treatment of their current customers, in order to retain them. chase overall, in my book, is in the bottom of the barrel.

I have dealt with the Century City branch for a number of years, and have to express my appreciation for the excellent assistance I have always received from each of the staff and officers. The clientele at Century City is a very demanding and often rude clientele, but this Branch goes out of its way to be of assistance and accommodate unreasonable requests. I take my hat off to all these individuals.

Sorry, but I do not believe the previous "client". It was posted right after a really nasty post, a little hard to believe JP Morgan Chase would rate anything over a 2. I finally refinanced my home after getting totally screwed
When I refinanced during the chase mortgage heyday. They raised my finance interest 1.5% because I wanted to change the Due Date., bringing it up to 9.5%. My husband was always fighting with the drive through because he wanted to "deposit" checks in my account. No money back. They just did not want to do their jobs. They are in big trouble for their illegal practices. No customer service and they are hiring high school grads giving them greeter jobs! Please! I am leaving.

I am just out of foreclosure and bankruptcy and trying to get my life together. There was $76 left in my old business account. I went online to close the account. They asked if I wanted a check for the balance and of course I said yes. They sent a check that can only be cashed by the account they closed down themselves. They refuse to give me my lousy $76. What a nice Christmas present. I hope they all get cheated for Christmas.

I have been banking with Chase Bank for years and with the Town Center location since October 2013 in an attempt to refinance my rental property in Baker, a suburb of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have a checking account, savings account, investment account, home loan (which is now rental property), and an education fund with them. In an effort to minimize my interest rate and reduce my income to debt ratio in anticipation of buying a second home in the state I now live in, I attempted to refinance my home in Louisiana. The process started off painlessly. The mortgage banker was so helpful and promising, and was very much accessible. However, after the file was transferred to the loan processing office in Houston, Texas and the loan officer indicated issues with my income to debt ratio (which I thought were resolved), the accessibility went from 10 to 2 with 10 being very accessible and 1 being rarely accessible. During this aspect of processing my loan, accessibility was limited with both the mortgage banker (in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) and the loan processor (in Houston, TX). The mortgage banker told me on several occasions she would call me back to no avail. One such example is that I had to contact her on three different occasions to get a good faith effort after she informed me that Chase Bank would meet any good faith effort. The loan processor was even worse. I contacted her the day before Thanksgiving after receiving an email she sent on the same day requesting some document/information needed. I emailed her back asking her if in the future, she would please call me if she needed additional information or documentation (as my loan was time sensitive due to the pending closing date on the new home I'm trying to purchase). After not receiving a response to my email, I called and left a message for the loan officer asking her to call me back. After not receiving a reply to either email or phone call, I contacted the loan officer again leaving a message indicating that this was the 2nd message I was leaving and I expected to have my calls returned. I attempted to contact the loan office for the second time (on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving). The loan officer didn't return my call until Friday, December 6th. When she returned my call, she tried to deny responsibility for not calling me back indicating that my mortgage banker should be the one informing me that my loan to refinance my home was denied because of my income to debt ratio. Mind you that I only have 3 debts- a home in which I owe less than $50,000, a car in which I may owe $23,000, and a Chase credit card on which I have a balance of approximately $4,000.
Upon hearing this news on Friday, I immediately called my mortgage banker who neglected to answer my phone call but sent me a text indicating she was at the hospital and she would call me back. She never returned my call but instead sent me a text Monday morning indicating she would be looking at my file. In attempt to get some answer, I left Houston, Texas Sunday afternoon so I could be at the bank when it opened Monday morning. After meeting the mortgage banker, she let me talk to a lending manager (via phone call) who assured me she would look into file and call me later with an update because she couldn't understand why they denied me. She indicated she was out in the field but would be in the office later that day. The lending manager did call later that day around 5 p.m. indicating that the loan officer's number was way off and she would make contact with someone first thing Tuesday morning to follow up. After not hearing from her all day, I contacted her Tuesday, December 10th at approximately 4:45 p.m. asking for an update. She began to tell me that the processing department was counting my $1,400 rent that I currently pay was being counting as a debt (even though the lease for my apartment ends December 31, 2013 at which I will not be renewing. When asked if she didn't think she should have called me and informed me of such, she indicated she was in the field as an explanation as to why she hadn't called. Being in the field in my opinion is not an excuse for unprofessionalism and not following up. She was in the field when I spoke with her for the first time yesterday, December 9th. The lending manager and the mortgage banker were both aware that my case was time sensitive as again I am trying to purchase a home in Houston, Texas. Despite having that knowledge, all Chase Bank employees inclusive of the loan processor neglected to communicate effectively among themselves and with me. The end result, I am having to scramble to find someone to refinance my rental property as I was relying on the finalization of that to purchase the home in Houston, Texas (I was taking money out of my equity). In addition, I am very disappointed in how they handled my case. I guess I expected better treatment from Chase considering I have been with them for at least 10 years if not more. After this process has been finalized, I will be removing my funds from Chase and will no longer patronize this establishment. I can take my pennies elsewhere.

I had $145.00 taken out of my account for a service done on the phone for a 1 bottle of supplement. It was a scam they tapped my account for $145 of more supplements. I've been contacted the service of the supplement company which said lines were busy call back later I've been attempted to do this for 2 days no solution. I called the bank to reverse it the claims department did, and put it back on my account with the drawer with the wrong the amount of $145 again. I called chase they said after careful review contacting the vendor that I needed to call the vendor to cleared up not chase. Very ticked off, I can't get through to the supplement company company. I'm on my way down as soon as the ice melts on the road to talk to chase, if not resolved I will withdraw my account which I have had for many years. Not satisfied ever with Chase's remarks.

same thing happened to me a few times, but i called chase first and put in a complant while the amount was still pending. I don't remember the process but I got my money back. I went on line and emailed them and also found another number. it was a process but I got my money back. Chase is usually good about getting you out of trouble with scammers.

You are so far wrong about this bank. You must have personally done something wrong. I am 18 years old and i had $200 in my account 8 days after opening account. They would never exspect someone to open 5 accounts. Thats rediculous and so are you. Too worried about a measly $200 i make that in 3 days.

LOL. You're only 18, you're comment doesn't matter.

Ask for the Vice President named Joseph Origer. HE is my fiancé, HE is the Branch Manager and I guarantee he will do a PERFECT job for y'all, PERIOD. Do you know what "P&L" stands for? Google it. Joe was ranked NUMBER ONE IN Profit and Loss. Ask for him before her gets promoted AGAIN. He's a GENIUS.

The service received at this branch has been excellent, efficient and with very little waiting time. We have used JP Morgan Chase Bank since they purchased Bank One and have enjoyed excellent service from each branch we have entered. We live close to this particular one at 99th Ave and Beardsley Road, so that is our home bank.

I SHOULDNT HAVE TRUSTED CHASE!!! HERE IS THE STORY!!!
so I have been trying to buy a house for 10 months now. In less then a month it forecloses. We agreed on a price for the house but I had to do work to the house in order for it to pass inspection and appraisal. After doing work to the house we don't own yet they stopped returning our calls until the agreement expired then they turned around and re priced the house at a higher value because it was worth more! SO THEY ARE CHARGING US FOR THE WORK THAT WE DID!!! They should have lowered the price. DON'T WORK WITH THEM!!
ps I will try to contact the newspaper tomorrow.
IF CHASE WOULD LIKE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM PLEASE CONTACT ME. START BY ADDING A COMMENT SO THAT PEOPLE CAN SEE IF YOU DID OR DIDNT RESPOND TO ME.
