US Bank is pathetic.   Very poor customer service.  I have never experienced a business with worst customer service.  I have been waiting for three weeks on US bank to mail a copy of my Boat title to my state DMV so I can Sell it.  First they supposedly sent it electronically to the wrong location,  Next, I spoke to 4 different customer service reps, who all lied to me about where they sent it.  All 4 employees failed to do so over the next four weeks.  After each call to ask them to send send duplicate of title, no one would ever follow up with me on the status.  Finally, I started asking for a supervisor to help me,   The supervisors would talk with customer service reps, but refused to talk to me or provide me a number/email to reach them.  All they would do is put me through to their voicemail and ask me to explain my situation over and leave a number, but each time the supervisor would fail to return my call.   I have remained calm and polite to everyone that I have spoken to at USBank, but it has not done any good.  They are not completing their responsibility and providing the information I need to sell my boat.    I certainly did not foresee these problems with buying and financing a new Boat.  If they have this much trouble mailing my title, I definitely don't trust them to serve as my lender. I will NEVER EVER even think about using this HORRIBLE INCOMPETENT bank again.FOR ANYTHING.NO ONE APPEARS THAT THEY WANT TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM OF GETTING MY TITLE.

I,personally, have been quite satisfied with US Bank. I have had only 2issues since being with them and both times they were immediately resolved with 1phone call. Maybe call a corporate office... seems all the negative feedback is coming out of the midwest???

This week we received notice via the online banking process that our password no longer matched what they have on file. Curious! We have not changed the password since opening the account almost four years ago. Suddenly it doesn't match? Why? Who? When?  We, now, are to enter the system to reset the password? How about USBank explaining what happened to their system and why the change!

We have been going through this same issue with our vehicle title. Moved to a new state and needed the title sent to the DMV to register and get new plates. It has been well over a month of calls to different people, multiple trips to DMV, and we have yet to get the issue rectified. It is really concerning as we should have gotten this squared away the month we moved and our plates from previous state will expire soon. This is our family’s only vehicle. It’s a huge waste of our time and a nightmare, especially because you have no control over which bank services your car loan. The service reps are pleasant on the phone, but their internal processes are a joke.

US Bank is pitiful operated bank and lender.   Very poor customer service.  I have never experienced a business with worst customer service.  I have been waiting for four weeks on US bank to mail a copy of my RV title to my state DMV so I can register it.  First they sent it by regular mail (not certified) to wrong location, so no tracking number was available to locate it.  Next, I spoke to 4 different customer service reps, who all promised to resend a duplicate to correct address. They are not completing their responsibility and providing the information I need to register my new RV.  The temporary tags expired weeks ago and I can't legally move it while I wait.  I had to postpone a vacation.  I certainly did not foresee these problems with buying and financing a new RV.  If they have this much trouble mailing a piece of paper to an address, I definitely don't trust them to serve as my lender.   As soon as i get it register, I'm transferring the loan and will never go back.

Titles are not sent certified mail to the dmv. Do you know what certified mail is?  You have to physically go to the post office to purchase that. It is not practical to have an employee drive to the post office with hundreds of title packages that are sent out every day and stand in line and send them all certified. Considering the scale at which they are done, there is a department that does just this so they usually have correct information for mailing. All states are different. However, sometimes some states do things on a more local level and send   certain items (boats, rvs, atvs, campers, etc) to the county or they send some to the dmv, some to the county, and some to the department of natural resources. Right now, the titling department is probably waiting for your rejected title to come back to them if it was sent to the wrong location. If they were to order another title it would take probably just as long and depending on if your rv is new, it may need to go through the dealership if it technically has never been titled and is a manufacturers certificate of origin because the dealer may have to.assist in providing another in that case because the dmv would not yet have any record, if that makes sense. Once a new one is ordered and produced, its not like you now have 2, the previous title would be void so it is best just to wait for it to be returned in this case.

I am trying to get a loan release on a vehicle I am trying too sell.  I have called three times and never can talk to the  same person.  I am extremely frustrated because I want to know the status.  They tell me they can not fax it to the DMV. What is so hard about faxing the loan release to the DMV. Why can't I talk to someone that can get things done.  I will never use US Bank again.  They appear to be the most unorganized incompetent organization I ever dealt with.  Hopefully someone with authority will read this and  straighten out this mess.  This the 21century.  You should be able to scan and email a release form or fax it. Think of the cost saving of not having to mail the form.

I do agree. They wouldn't let me fax a $1000.00 check from an insurance company t fix my car.  They had to have the hard copy in hand. Now they don't know if the check has been returned or not.It seemd to be lost, they don't even have the date it was received or sent back to me.  Don't ever do business with U.S. Bank

Many dmvs will not accept a faxed lien release and are switching over to electronic titling meaning. In that case the lien would need to be released electronically by the bank after the payoff clears which is usually 10 business days or 2 weeks. Most states mail out a paper title once they receive the electronic release, but if you have not gotten it, contact the dmv. If your dmv if saying that a faxed release is ok, calling customer service and having them put a fax and the dmv agents name that said it was ok is helpful.  There may be many reasons complicating your situation like who's name it is currently titled in, if it is a lease buyout and titling is still being worked by dealer/dmv, etc.
