I went in to have a signature on some treasury documents witnessed, for the purpose of redeeming bonds from my mother's estate. After a ten minute+ wait, the guy takes me into his office, doesn't have a clue. He's never seen these treasury forms, used to redeem bonds that are inherited and over $1000 in value. He calls someone that deals with the stamp that he's supposed to apply to my papers, they tell him to call "legal". He calls, gets a wait recording, puts it on speakerphone, we proceed to wait for almost a half hour, during which I fell asleep in his office. It was almost to the point of comical. I told him to copy some of the documentation and get back to me. I had brought the forms, the bonds, death certificates for both of my parents, a notarized document naming my sister executor, a notarized document, signed by my sister, giving me permission to deal with the bonds. I go home, he calls 45 minutes later, says they can't do it. Why? The letter from my sister references my mother's estate, not my father's, whose name is on the bonds. I explained that my father had passed 10 years ago, making the bonds part of my mother's estate (she passed in June). Nope, can't do it, I'll need another letter from my sister, who just doesn't have the time to deal with this. Meantime I'm trying to beat a year end tax deadline and get the bonds sent to the Fed. Reserve for redemption. I asked to speak to the branch manager, he says "that's me". Unbelievable. I hung up. I went to the branch at 58th ave and 11 st in Greeley, 10 minutes later I had my forms signed and stamped.

I was swished over to this bank when Wachovia closed out. They have a terrible online banking system that doesn't give you the current infomation they are approximately 4-5 days behind, and if you call the 800 # they see the same thing. I had an overdraft, off only by a few $'s that turned into a serious situation for me. When I looked online I could see that a week ago I had a check bounce, but I didn't know who it was written to. As it turned out there was a check for $5.00 for the PTO that bounced 3 x's. And another for $40.00 a fundraiser that bounced 3 x's. I am sure they are happy they got their cash, but as a single parent with no child support and only a few $'s a month extra, this turned into a nightmare for several months. When I took the morning off to go in and talk with them, not realizing that they didn't open until "9"am. I waited for 45 mins in the lobby before I finally asked to speak to someone who said they would get back to me that day with some feedback because by that time I had to get into work. I never heard one word either way.
My plan had been to switch all my money to that account from Regions.. the only thing this bank did for me is help me to appreiciate my Regions account.

Tellers are more welcoming and friendly then the bankers. The banker made me wait for a long time, did not check in and only took down my information when stated that she will take care of my account. I checked my account and it was not taken care of nor did I get a phone call as she stated.

The Montana branch is horrible! The parking lot is the tiniest I have seen, fit for 4 cars. So I was forced to park in the ATM slot, had no other choice. I was approached by perhaps a manager who was polite but upset I had parked there. The teller was an nice but very inexperienced and asked the same questions twice, either that or she had her mind on more important issues. I have over 4 accounts there and with the interest rates they offer, I may transfer everything to Citibank up the street.

I have been with Wells Fargo for almost two years, and their service varies GREATLY branch by branch. I avoid going to certain branches due to the bad service and one in particular that has the personal banker "hover" by the tellers trying to sell you a new service.
WF was wonderful when my identity was stolen and I had to cancel everything last year. However, since then their service has nose dived due to turnover and hiring of low to no skill people to take their places. There is also no accountability or follow up by the managers at ANY branch that I have seen, so the apathy is bred at a high level within their corporation.
I will stay with them due to the pain of changing accounts again, but if you are looking for a new bank I would not recommend them. They oversell you services for commission, offer no service whatsoever anymore and require you to have multiple accounts you don't need to "save" on accounts.

wells fargo palos verdes is the worst place to do business.. There customer services sucks ,The manager by name laurena luna has trun that place to night horror there customer services is very very poor,I went there to cash a chaque.cos I don't look spanish there manager gave me an altitude and left me behind to deal with a spanich guy of which I came befor the guy ,I was so pissed up I have to leave and go to citi bank and open up another account cos my plans is to open a new account with them since the people i did some work paid me with wells fargo check which runs in some thousands..The lady by name Laurena Luna sucks....

There customer services sucks ,The manager by name laurena luna has trun that place to night horror there customer services is very very poor,I went there to cash a chaque.cos I don't look spanish there manager gave me an altitude and left me behind to deal with a spanich guy of which I came befor the guy ,I was so pissed up I have to leave and go to citi bank and open up another account cos my plans is to open a new account with them since the people i did some work paid me with wells fargo check which runs in some thousands..The lady by name Laurena Luna sucks....

I am extremely dissapointed in this branch, their drivethru seriously takes 10 minutes for a simple deposit and they are always pushing for new services, it's like they don't want to give you a reciept unless you agree to a new product.

This is the closest Wells Fargo to my house - I'm going to start driving further or change banks. The tiny akward parking lot is never safe to get in and out of for starters and the service (not the tellers) in poor. The tellers are always nice - give candy to the kids (which is nice) but if you are doing anything besides making deposits or withdrawals -go somewhere else.

The ATM machine at this location is the worst of all I've ever seen. You go to be very careful not to get your car scratched on either side after you're done at the machine.
The average wait time for a drive-through desposit is much longer than that at other local banks such Community State bank.

I have been banking here for a couple of years. There is a banker who consistently fails to answer phone calls and follow through with business that she promises to get done. The last time that I asked to terminated a cd, it was renewed automatically, at a lower rate.
The tellers are polite, but doing business beyond deposits and withdrawals is frustrating.

All Tellers are friendly and kind, charming, caring. They treat us like old friends or family members. Paperwork is quick, assistance is ready, anytime. No long line. It's a very comfortable bank. Horrible Bank

My company had an acct. here. They let 100's of white outted check thru (this should have been a red flag!) and the employee stole thousands of dollars.
A friend had a hefty savings acct until recently when he came back from overseas and the acct was wiped out. I have several accts and am pulling the money out asap. Some one is charging things overseas to my acct. and this bank didn't red flag it! As soon as possible I will pull my loan out from here too!

My mother, who is 80 years old and not in the best health, became a Wells Fargo customer by default when Wachovia was purchased by WF.
She had a couple CDs which are due out in the future sometime. She received a phone call which confused her, and subsequently in the mail came an account signature card for a new checking account.
I called and spoke with the young woman whose name was included with the paperwork to find out WHY my Mom was being given a checking account she didn't need and was required to open it with $100. I told the young woman that my mother already had an account elsewhere and didn't want this account - she replied that since my Mom had OK'd it over the phone, there was nothing she could do, we had to sign it and send in $100. She said that we could go in the next day after it was officially opened and close the account and get the $100 back. WHAT kind of sense did THAT make??
I called back a short while later and spoke directly with the manager, who was as nice and helpful as she could be, and told me that she was cancelling the account effective immediately. Now THAT was what we wanted to hear.
Problem resolved in a professional and pleasant manner - works for me!

I agree, run from this branch. The management is awful. Very poor service. Management is top-down and this bank is evidence of how bad it can get. She has big attitude, and seems to play favorites with her employees.They used to have a good banker and she has left, probably she was too good and this manager felt threatened. I don't know how the tellers cope with this manager. I like Wells Fargo but now I'm going to go with another bank.

I had a safe deposit box in this branch for nearly 20 years, in fact, since the bldg was built. I was unable to walk into the branch and have the local folks look up the box number so I could pay final fees and have the box drilled. (I had lost the keys.. my problem, not theirs.)
The local folks told me that the records were all held in Portland Oregon, about 1,500 miles away.
After a huge amount of running around and dozens of phone calls to voicemail (live bodies almost never answer the phone, and several trips to the branch, I finally got matters settled.
Now months later, I have received letters telling me that they were going to send the unclaimed contents to California and that I have an outstanding bill, none of which is correct. I paid all fees when I picked up the contents months ago.
After another half dozen phone calls, they agree that thereare no unclaimed contents or fees outstanding and that their correspondence is in error.
What a waste of time. What a huge, brain dead bureacracy.
If your time and money are important to you, use another bank.
