Wells Fargo as whole is terrible. They screw up account balances, they charge all kinds of mystery rates, they never return phone calls, and they just do not value the customer or the customers money. I am through with Wells Fargo.

I started with Wachovia in Hoboken, NJ. After 4 months of banking wachovia introduced me to someone the bank works with so I could set up credit card processing for my store.  The lady told me how I was covered in case of this or that and if there was ever any problem, as long as proper steps were covered I should not worry about fraud.  Well 5 months later i had a charge from a customer out of country.  Protocol was to call it in and get 2 verifications.  Both the CC processor and the card holders bank both gave approval for charge.  2 weeks later it was made aware to me the card was stolen and I have to give back 1890.00 USD.  After telling the CC porcessor that I was told I am covered they went on to say I was misinformed.  I refused to pay them back and reached out the rep that signed me up.  She never got back to me and 2 weeks later she was fired for lying to not only me but dozens of others.  Never in this whole period did Wachovia try to help me.  They ignored me, everyone even the branch people that introduced me to her.  Then one day the branh manager Xenia in Hoboken yelled at me because I went to her superior after i went to her  and this is after she refused to help me and gave me the run around.  Long story short is was put  on what is called TMF (terminated Merchant File)  I could not accept credit cards ever again.  I later found someone to take me on after they learned of the situation but the people at Elavon and Wachovia were down right crooks in every respect.  I am closing my account this week and have hired an attorney to take this matter to court to get my name cleared and so forth and get off this list.  The Hoboken branch is truthfully dreadful.  There is great tellers and 2 of the bankers their are really nice and helpful but the lady Xenia that runs it is a complete moron.  In fact she runs a bank yet never worked in a bank prior to Wachovia now Wells Fargo, her last job was selling jeans in a retail store.  How on earth did she get to run a bank?  If you bank here, leave.

I had a Wachovia account before they were bought out by Wells Fargo. Recently I had my wallet stolen and asked one of their bankers if they would help me set up a new account and cancel out my debit card. This process took hours, in which she set the card to a wrong address, linked it to my old account on accident, and also kept pushing me to try a different account then the one I wanted. 30 days later I look at my account and there is a massive charge linked to my old account number, after inquiry I found out that when she "closed out" my account she didn't let the pending transactions finish and so it over drew me, they then charged my account $122 to pay it off, which is significantly more then the overage. When it was Wachovia they we're a great bank, now that they're Wells Fargo they are absolutely terrible. I have had issue's since day 1. Between them not letting me cash my paychecks that I have been bringing to that branch for 3 years, to making it frustrating and impossible to simply cancel anything.

I too have had TERRIBLE customer service at bee ridge and cattleman branch. I was a long standing client at this branch when it was wachovia. Everyone made a point to bend over backwards with help and a friendly attitude and ALWAYS Knew my name before they even saw it on paper. It was easy friendly and wonderful.
 Then the change. I thought... great: wells fargo, big company. It will probably be even better. But the rudeness, the couldnt care less attitude, the lack of being able to do routine things through the drive through that Ive been doing for years. The indignance is just appalling, truly. ON 5 [yes 5] different occassions, Ive had to go into the bank from the drive through to get the same routine thing accomplished [a deposit of my spouses check]. have had to talk to a manager, who each and every time has said that she  has now squared it away and promised it would not happen again. I have told her also about the rudeness of the employees[particularly drive through]. And lack of apologies or simple courtesy. No one seems to care about "that" aspect of it. I am obviously not alone on this complaint. Why do they keep people like this?? I have gotten so that I hate to go make a deposit because I know it will be a pain the .....
 Believe me, We will probably go somewhere else soon. We have 3 accounts at this branch. we should be treated like the regulars that we have been for so long.
 In a nutshell, your local branch should feel like a small town bank no matter who they are.Employees you know and trust[and know you!]  a smiling face,  and ease of banking. Customer service people. Sorry to see that so many others have had similar issues.
They shorted me :>/

Went to the drive though at the Penrose branch to cash a check for my payroll. When I got home to divide it all up for my employees, I notice that they shorted me twenty dollars.So, I went back to settle this matter and had to wait way too long a time with no results. And, they made me feel like I was out to steal twenty dollars from them. I have been banking with them longer than I can remember and this is what I get.

Either the teller (young man) put it in his pocket or he just didn't put the right amount in my envelop that matched the check amount. Still, they shorted me either way. Thanks Wells Fargo!

Will be withdrawing my account from you people come Monday. People beware.....count your money before you leave that place.

Deposited a cashier's check in the drive through (several thousand dollars). Teller had to pass me through to a salesman, who, over the loudspeaker, tried to push this money into "Inwestments' (spelling intentional). I said no thanks. I told him, over the loud speaker, with cars behind me, that I was in a hurry, and if he had some information on these inwestments, he should mail it to my home--I'd look it over and get back if interested.

Got home 10 minutes later, only to hear from my wife he was just on the phone with her, inquiring as to her social security number, Ga driver license number and date of birth. "I'm sitting here with your husband" he said over the phone "discussing inwestment opportunities. He wants you to give me this information so we can proceed."

All of this was a lie. 12 years with this bank, the tellers know me by name, and this? Beware of Wells Fargo Winward.

Bank staff is very friendly and, inside the bank, prompt.  Problem is the drive up window.  Understaffed and slow.  Other than that, Wells Fargo is like all banks these years so what are you going to do?  If you find one where the staff is friendly might as well stay there.  They are not responsible for policy and are just doing their job.  How they do it is the key and this branch staff does it well.

Waited 15 minutes to get to the window, wasn't greeted by the teller. Waited 10 more minutes for the manager to come over and tell me that since my formal name (on my ID) wasn't on the check ( it was Jake instead of Jacob) they couldn't cash it. Went to another Wells and they cashed it and deposited no problem. Not the first problem I have had at this bank. They are not there on the listed hours on their website and their tellers are some of the most unfirnedly I've seen. This and also other issues with Wells is why I'll be closing my accounts next week after 10 years with this what I formerly thought of as a good bank.

I have to say that a nice young man named Angel, was amazing!!!!! good helper and very nice! every bad review here has been tweekers and dumb ridiculous people who expect the world to stop for them.. and teller can't steal! camaras are all over the place! Keep up the nice work!(:

I'm not really sure where these bad reviews come from.  I've been going there for about 8 years, I have opened 3 accounts, my wife has changed her name, I opened a HELOC, I have worked with a dozen plus people there and they have been nothing but very friendly and helpful.  I recommend 100%.  Now First Niagara branches at several locations is a whole other story

I went into this bank for a simple name change. Sounds simple? Not at this bank.
First visit: banker ordered me a new card and said existing card would work in the interim. WRONG. I went to use it and it got declined.
Second visit: returned to this branch to have another man give me a temporary card while I continued to wait for the card with my new name to arrive in the mail. He said everything was taken care of. WRONG.

The new card finally arrived in the mail. I brought it with me on a day trip out of town, went to activate it and it wouldn't work. Customer service said they couldn't do anything since it had been reported stolen. "Stolen? I just got it in the mail yesterday!" I said.

Apparently, just walking into this bank and asking for help equals chaos. I wouldn't trust them with a child's piggy bank full of pennies let alone my hard-earned money. Switching banks thanks to this experience.

I also plan to write to corporate.

Since acquiring Wachovia it appears that Wells Fargo are determined to nickle and dime its customers. They are charging me three Dollars to deposit money into my account from Canada. Good Bye Wells Fargo.

I've never had any problems at all with the Oak Hill branch.  The tellers are very friendly.  The staff is very professional.  The personal bankers go out of their way to help me with any questions that I have.  They have also suggested several ways to help me save money on bank fees.

Avoid at all costs.. The staff is rude and is more interested in surfing the web and chatting about their weekend then helping customers. Terrible service.

I've been a Wellsfargo client for over 10 years, and I've never been to a worst branch than the Tracy, CA one...one word to describe the service and attitude=HORRIBLE!!!! The branch manager doesn't even call me back when I have left 5+ messages with his staff to have him call back....what's going on with Wellsfargo?????

I've loved Wells Fargo for the 25 years I've been with them (and with a relationship on accounts for over 37 years). Never, ever had a problem.  The last week two problems.  Told me to send checks to branch and printed checks have been lost for two weeks without anyone able to handle the issue correctly on line or at the branch. They told me to send to the branch but now say they have no mailbox at the branch??? Wanted to charge me $2 per check in the interim.  All of the sudden on Labor Day weekend they reduced our balance plus card limit (overdraft protection) by $2,000 without advising me after 25 years of having this account and the higher limit with absolutely no issues. Sent me to the manager of the branch who checkcard department said could resolve, who had me address issue out in the grocery aisle as she had no place to seat me to discuss issue, and then she resolved by putting me back on with their checkcard department who told me I had to go in and talk to the branch manager. At one point a rep said they didn't know why I needed checks -why didn't I just use automated billpay. Gave a bunch of gobbledygook about terms and conditions that they can change around an account whenever they so please without any notice.  The manager was not at all helpful on this front. 25 years of loyalty and perfect credit is worth nothing at this bank.

unhappy costumer

It seems that the two bankers working at this branch are always very busy...too busy to return calls or take costumers phone calls (as a mother of 3 I like to get things done over the phone).  I got fed up and switched to the branch at Blanco/1604.  Big difference, I was immediately helped by the banker and my problem got resolved in less than 5 minutes.

This Bank Is Amazing Nothing Like any other Wells Fargo are other bank in the Houston area. The reason is the management at this branch is on top of customer service. Takes pride in making sure people are satisfied with there banking experience. (Thanks Wells Fargo Fry & West Little York) Ya’ll Are Awesome!!
