I went into this bank for a simple name change. Sounds simple? Not at this bank.
First visit: banker ordered me a new card and said existing card would work in the interim. WRONG. I went to use it and it got declined.
Second visit: returned to this branch to have another man give me a temporary card while I continued to wait for the card with my new name to arrive in the mail. He said everything was taken care of. WRONG.
The new card finally arrived in the mail. I brought it with me on a day trip out of town, went to activate it and it wouldn't work. Customer service said they couldn't do anything since it had been reported stolen. "Stolen? I just got it in the mail yesterday!" I said.
Apparently, just walking into this bank and asking for help equals chaos. I wouldn't trust them with a child's piggy bank full of pennies let alone my hard-earned money. Switching banks thanks to this experience.
I also plan to write to corporate.

Since acquiring Wachovia it appears that Wells Fargo are determined to nickle and dime its customers. They are charging me three Dollars to deposit money into my account from Canada. Good Bye Wells Fargo.

I've never had any problems at all with the Oak Hill branch. The tellers are very friendly. The staff is very professional. The personal bankers go out of their way to help me with any questions that I have. They have also suggested several ways to help me save money on bank fees.

I've been a Wellsfargo client for over 10 years, and I've never been to a worst branch than the Tracy, CA one...one word to describe the service and attitude=HORRIBLE!!!! The branch manager doesn't even call me back when I have left 5+ messages with his staff to have him call back....what's going on with Wellsfargo?????

I've been a Wellsfargo client for over 10 years, and I've never been to a worst branch than the Tracy, CA one...one word to describe the service and attitude=HORRIBLE!!!! The branch manager doesn't even call me back when I have left 5+ messages with his staff to have him call back....what's going on with Wellsfargo?????

I've loved Wells Fargo for the 25 years I've been with them (and with a relationship on accounts for over 37 years). Never, ever had a problem. The last week two problems. Told me to send checks to branch and printed checks have been lost for two weeks without anyone able to handle the issue correctly on line or at the branch. They told me to send to the branch but now say they have no mailbox at the branch??? Wanted to charge me $2 per check in the interim. All of the sudden on Labor Day weekend they reduced our balance plus card limit (overdraft protection) by $2,000 without advising me after 25 years of having this account and the higher limit with absolutely no issues. Sent me to the manager of the branch who checkcard department said could resolve, who had me address issue out in the grocery aisle as she had no place to seat me to discuss issue, and then she resolved by putting me back on with their checkcard department who told me I had to go in and talk to the branch manager. At one point a rep said they didn't know why I needed checks -why didn't I just use automated billpay. Gave a bunch of gobbledygook about terms and conditions that they can change around an account whenever they so please without any notice. The manager was not at all helpful on this front. 25 years of loyalty and perfect credit is worth nothing at this bank.

It seems that the two bankers working at this branch are always very busy...too busy to return calls or take costumers phone calls (as a mother of 3 I like to get things done over the phone). I got fed up and switched to the branch at Blanco/1604. Big difference, I was immediately helped by the banker and my problem got resolved in less than 5 minutes.

I only gave them one star because ZERO was not acceptable! I have never had so many issues with a bank in my life. First they automatically charged me $50 for some rewards program I never wanted or signed up for, which took three weeks to credit back to my acct after overdrafting me three times (NEVER refunded). Then it's phone calls to my house that I return only to be told they will call back and they never do. Then my CASH deposits are held!!! WTF people?!? I closed ALL my accounts and went to Capital One on Bandera Road in San Antonio. WAY nicer people, better service, and I have NEVER had an issue go unresolved immediately! Screw Wells Fargo!

I made an appointment to notarize a paper which I always was able to do when it was Wachovia, the person did not show up, did not call to cancel the appointment, and a very helpfull unnexperience person, gave me alist of banks to go all over town, I live by the Surfise branch this is the reason I do business there
I have no problem with the tellers very nice and helpful lately.
They dont answer the phone, becasue I am calling right now to see if the notary is there and not waste my time again

This bank is no longer the bank I used to know. It charges me without my consent for a fee that is supposed to be their proud "reward" program. Called them 5 times, visited the branch office twice talked to the manager, and no one is interested in helping me to remove this charge.....We are their 20+ years royal customer - started from Merchant Bank, First Fidelity, Wachovia, and then this monster bank - Wells Fargo. I am closing all our accounts!

I went into this wells fargo branch to make a deposit, and the bank teller was very rude. It was obvious she did not want to be there. When I asked her a question about the debit card points program being cancelled, she clearly responded with indifference and wouldn't give me an appropriate answer. I only have one checking account with wells fargo and there is nothing stopping me from going to a different bank. The fact that this bank teller was not able to provide the simple task of speaking appropriately is very questionable, and makes me wonder what other questionable practices this branch may engage in.

I've been a customer with Wachovia for over 10 years. Since the change to Wells Fargo, it's been a nightmare to ask them for any kind of customer service. The tellers are rude and they do not know how to smile. I went to cash a check and they couldn't process it because the check number was out of range. The manager was called out. The teller and the manager stood in front of me for about 5 minutes with no dialogue. So I said, "If it's too difficult, I can deposit the check." They just continued to stare at the monitor and ignored me. So I asked again, still they continue to ignore me. Finally, I waved my hands in front of them and repeated myself for the third time. Then they looked up and without an apology just said, "Hold on." That was two weeks ago. This past week, I tried to add my father as a signer on my account. We went in on Thursday at 5:30, only to find that the bank's lobby is closed. The website states that this branch is open from 9-6 M-F. So we went back today and waited for at least 20 minutes only to find out that I can't add my father because he doesn't have a second form of ID. They said that they had to verify my father's identity, yet they were willing to accept even a insurance card with his name one it. I could easily print one of those at home. This clearly is not a security measurement but one just to hassle the existing clients. I'm not opening a new account, I'm just authorizing an additional signer. Plus all of the familiar faces have all gone. That's the first warning sign. It would be a better business tactic if you kept all of the original employees who knows your existing clients. If you expect competent service don't bank with the new Wells Fargo in Great Falls.

The teller and the manager stood in front of me for about 5 minutes with no dialogue. So I said, "If it's too difficult, I can deposit the check." They just continued to stare at the monitor and ignored me. So I asked again, still they continue to ignore me. Finally, I waved my hands in front of them and repeated myself for the third time. Then they looked up and without an apology just said, "Hold on." That was two weeks ago. This past week, I tried to add my father as a signer on my account. We went in on Thursday at 5:30, only to find that the bank's lobby is closed. The website states that this branch is open from 9-6 M-F. So we went back today and waited for at least 20 minutes only to find out that I can't add my father because he doesn't have a second form of ID. They said that they had to verify my father's identity, yet they were willing to accept even a insurance card with his name one it. I could easily print one of those at home. This clearly is not a security measurement but one just to hassle the existing clients. I'm not opening a new account, I'm just authorizing an additional signer. Plus all of the familiar faces have all gone. That's the first warning sign. It would be a better business tactic if you kept all of the original employees who knows your existing clients. If you expect competent service don't bank with the new Wells Fargo in Great Falls.

Let's face it, this bank is one of the most hated banking institutions around. They hiked the interest rate on my Visa cc for absolutely no reason when other people were defaulting on their cc payments. Their philosophy was - "Let's screw over the people who are responsible to get back our money from the people who couldn't make their payments." This bank is greedy, unethical, and will NEVER pass by an opportunity is screw you over. Today I was told my free checking account (of 10+ years) was no longer free unless I keep a minimum balance of $1500!
That was the last straw! Closed my account and went over to TruStone Financial Credit Union (open to anybody!) on Lyndale Ave South in Mpls to transfer my money. Wake up people! Wells Fargo, TCF and US Bank are all the same! Visit a credit union near you and talk to them. I think you'll be glad to give them a chance to earn your business.

I have been a customer of Wells Fargo's not by choice for 11 plus years. I recently have had my fair share. Do not deposit any checks into this bank unless it is direct deposited. They can hold your checks up to 10 days if you have had any number of overdrafts or if they are two lazy to run those checks that night. If you deposit in the atm before 6pm they are to be credited the next business day unless you have not managed your account the way they want you to,.

I deposited a check Saturday, and as a customer of previous bank Wachovia, expected the funds to be available at midnight. Apparently with Wells Fargo, when you deposit a check DURING BANKING HOURS on a Saturday, you will be unable to use the funds until after midnight Monday. I over-drafted several times this weekend, and upon calling to complain, I was unable to reach an actual human on the helpline. After driving to an actual location on my one day off, I was rudely told that my funds weren't available because anything done on a Saturday really didn't operate until business hours Monday. So, although my online banking shows there was a deposit, there aren't any funds in my account. I will be closing my account with Wells Fargo and moving on to a bank that communicates with their customers and has a straightforward policy.
