This branch just hired a new "service director" named Brent Cook. This is my home branch and I expect a personal relationship with the bank I have done business with for over 20 years (since before this branch even opened) While on vacation my account became overdrawn because of a bank error that caused my mortgage to be paid twice. Brent refused to help over the phone. He refused to call the mortgage department for me to correct the problem. He refused to reverse the overdraft fees. He refused stating that it was bank policy that he could not help me over the phone, even though he could certainly have verified my identity and I know most of the staff at this branch. He offered to "help" me by shirking any responsibility for the problem and telling me to call the main 800 number (apparently the call centers are "allowed" to help over the phone even though my own branch refuses to!). Then he told me that the only way that the problem could be addressed was to send me out of my way in the middle of vacation to a branch office in Beaverton , OR. to speak to the branch manager there by the name of Damon Brissett. I called in advance to Damon and told him I would be there by 5pm, and he said that he would be there until 6pm. At 5pm I arrived and Damon was conveniently leaving the branch and could not help me. He instead introduced me to a teller since he "was unavailable" . The teller, Sandra, was fantastic and did her best to help me but did not have the experience and simply documented my needs to Damon in an email so that he would take care of them as soon as he could.. Damon, in turn, did NOTHING and did not even respond to the email. In the wake of the refusal by my branch's "service" manager, Brent Cook, to assist me, and the unavailability of the manager he referred me and whom I went out of my way to meet with, this small problem got bigger. Wells Fargo mortgage continued to attempt making a double payment for my mortgage, and my account continued to have fees applied due to their error. Hours and hours of my vacation time were lost and I was very stressed and upset by this experience and total service failure by the bank. Both Damon and Brent seem to think that as managers it is their job to pass my problems on to someone else as both of them refused to take any ownership of the situation. Both of them deserve to be fired.

I need to say we had a experience with the local branch not able to do anything. We are coming into the office to payoff a loan on the day the payment pulls.. we called to have the auto payment that comes from our account stopped and the branch doesn't have the capability to do that and had us call the 800 number which we did and my husband ill and in bed and he wouldn't even have my husband verify that I could talk to him to try to get payment stopped. It appears that Banks in general are run by corporate bologna ..Even when we go into the branch they have to call to get payoff as they have no ability to do that. They can take your money and charge you fees and it is rather funny they can't even service your account for a simple payoff question. It doesn't feel very hometown like it used to be..sad but true
Don't go here if you want good service

Poor luck at my Stonehenge branch in Raleigh, NC. I needed a warranty deed notarized & witnessed, which I've always had done at my bank. Even though two other Wells Fargo banks had already done this for my siblings, the answer was a firm and ungracious NO. Not at all the kind of service I'm used to. I closed my account. The bank manager (who was chewing gum, of all things) confirmed to my face that he didn't care if I closed it. Another branch of W-F had tried to charge me $5 for a cashier's check, even though I had a qualifying amount on deposit. Bottom line: I am tired of being nickel and dimed. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I just moved across the country and went to set a checking and savings account through Wells Fargo. Seeing that I am used to Credit Unions I did not know how costly the fees would whined up being. Gladys Escamilla was the lady that I set up my account with and from the start she was very short with me and acted like she was above me seeing as I had a lot of questions about what everything meant, because banks are So different from Credit Unions. I got my bank account and I was told that there would be a $35 fee everytime they overdraft from my savings to my checking account and also that I would need to use my card at least ten times so that I would not get yet another fee. This was on a Friday. By Monday I get an email confirmation charging a fee and I had not even touched my account. I looked through all of my papers that I had received and realized that I was not going to pay $40 in fees a month just to keep an account open. I went into the Wells Fargo on Lawyers Rd. in Mint Hill and Gladys Escamilla came over to me asking why I was there. I told her that I wanted to cancel my account because I did not have the money to pay so much in fees a month she said there were not any fees. So I proceeded to go through the papers she had given me and explain the different fees and I was being polite the entire time saying that I just need to save the little money I have after this big move and the only thing she continued to say to me was "You read it all wrong." I walked her through it again and showed her exactly what fees and after each she agreed and at the end all she said was once more "You read it all wrong" she never bothered to correct me or explain what it was that I was reading wrong because I had the proof in my hands. I stayed polite and she just stuck up her nose to me and I finally just said that I did not want to do business with her anymore and at that time she got her manager and did not even say another word to me. I am eighteen years old and I am beyond polite and considerate of others and I work with customers all the time and I know that you NEVER tell your customer that their wrong, even if they might be. She was very Unprofessional and snooty. I will NEVER do business with these people again!

I opened checking/savings accounts at this branch back in 2003 when I moved to FL and never had a problem until it changed over to Wells Fargo. About 1 1/2 years ago problems started. Most of the trustworthy people who use to work there left and the new employees were worthless. They couldn't provide services for the simplest requests such as a debit card in my son's name. Got it wrong 3 times, never did receive one. The last straw was when they opened up an account and transferred money out of another account without my authorization. When I questioned them about it, all the manager could say was I'm sorry and could provide no explanation. The guy that opened an account without my permission was a total jerk to me when I went in to close my account. My whole family closed their savings and checking accounts with Wells Fargo and while we were doing so, the guy at the teller window next to me was having the same problems. I told him I had the same experience and if he were wise, he would close his accounts also. They really are clueless. Unfortunately, I moved some of my accounts to another bank, only to find out that the manager that had apparently been fired from WF was hired by my new bank to be a teller. Still looking for yet another bank that I can feel confident about.

Firstly, we applied for a mortgage loan and the next thing we know we're getting notified our information has been sold to everyone and is all over the internet. We're at huge risk! When I confronted Everett he didn't even respond. Next, after so many years with Wells Fargo, in the last 2 years we have constantly been notified of a security breach and that our debit/credit cards need to be replaced. This is the biggest hassle! My husband signs on with his new card and within days someone has duplicated it and is using it everywhere. We are in Dallas using the card and they are in Humble and the surrounding area using it like crazy. In one day they hit us for $1400 and Wells Fargo didn't do one thing to stop it until they tried it at a Mexican grocery store. We are not Mexican. They hit us for much more than that before we knew it and days later we are still waiting for a reversal. They said it could be 10 business days. Many people don't have the money to spare! And NO ONE knows why they didn't stop transactions in another city at the same time on the same card. PATHETIC! Mary and Kineesha have worked with us to fix the issue, but this is really the last straw. Don't put yourself through this. Wells Fargo has problems.

Maybe you agreed to have your info sold and didn't read all of the papers???? I haven't had any problems with Wells Fargo since banking with them in 2007. I even refinanced 4 years ago and everything has been GREAT!!!! Mary is my Personal Banker and she is excellent at what she does.

I was banking with this branch since 1999 when it was First Union and then Wachovia and now Wells Fargo. I have bad experience after it became Wells Fargo.
Please check your statements as wells fargo is ripping of customers with monthly service fee even though you met the requirement. Bankers do not know hot to fix this issue. I have this issue for 6 months now.
I am going to close all of my accounts.

I closed a checking account out on March 2 with Kevin Fehr and received written confirmation of the closure. On March 10, a charge was attempted on my checking account. Instead of Wells declining the charges as account closed this bank actually processed the charge and accessed my Wells Fargo credit card to pay for it ( since my checking account was closed). What kind of bank allows charges on a CLOSED CHECKING ACCOUNT? Then if that was not enough, this bank in turn actually charged me an overdraft fees to my credit card for this!!!!! REALLY AN OVERDRAFT CHARGE ON A CLOSED BANK ACCOUNT?? APPARENTLY WELLS IS REALLY HARD UP FOR MONEY. I called Kevin Fehr about the matter since he closed my account out. Kevin said he would look into it and "call me back" to ensure this was taken care of as that should not of happened. Well Kevin never called me back. I left two messages for him after that- no return call. I then physically went in this bank to get the charge removed and to get the overdraft charged returned. I asked to speak to the manager, however "he was busy" and I got stuck speaking with Eduardo about this issue. He told me he could not help me. REALLY HOW HARD IS IT TO REVERSE AN OVERDRAFT CHARGE THAT SHOULD NOT OF OCCURED? Instead I was told I had to open a fraud case. REALLY, GIVE ME A BREAK! IF A PERSON CLOSES A CHECKING ACCOUNT THE ACCOUNT SHOULD BE CLOSED PERIOD. ALL ATTEMPTED CHARGES SHOULD BE REJECTED/ ACCOUNT CLOSED!
Apparently that does not happen with Wells Fargo.
I will be reporting this issue to the Colorado bank commission. This is just poor business.
One would think personal bankers would have the ability to reverse overdraft charges. If these two cant do something as simple as that do you really want them assisting you with bigger financial issues.....

"Someone will be with you in a moment" means "have a seat, this could take awhile." Several times I have waited 10-15 mins to talk to someone and just gave up and left. Also I do not recommend getting a home loan from WF. The process can take 1-2 months, they keep asking for documents you've already sent, and good luck trying to reach someone on the phone in their mortgage center in Charlotte.

Waited in the drive-thru and was tended to at 1:00 p.m, their closing time, I was told that the cashiers check I was looking to refund needed to be transacted inside the store, but they were closed, when I insisted that I was in line and simply needed to do a simple procedure, they went on to tell me that the doors were locked. Lol, locked at 1:00pm ON THE DOT.

Wells Fargo Continued poor and Sarcastic Service
Wells Fargo, 5703 Burke centre PKWY, Burke VA 22015
In depositing a check today, I experienced less than satisfactory service.
While I understand the requirements for “withholding†funds until they “properly†clear for use by the person depositing the funds, the condescending tone and sarcastic nature of the response from the on duty bank manager is not acceptable. Raquel Howard’s condescending tone and the sarcastic nature of her “enplaning bank regulations†was both inaccurate and not the questioned asked. The simple question was “what steps do I take to close my account after we clear the check I just deposited and my mid-month pay clearsâ€. I noted our other bank of 35 years in Wyoming does not appear to follow this same “required†banking regulation of seven (7) business days. It is misleading to inform the public that something is required “by law†when it fact it is a Well Fargo set of requirements that are being cited.
This is not the first time employees of this bank have responded in an unprofessional tone as if the general public has no concept of how banks and financial institutions work and the regulatory nature of the banking industry and associated financial institutions. Of late, the national news has well documented the issues all financial institutions from predatory lending practices, misrepresentations and generally poor practices that do not protect the public but the financial institution and its management.
We will be closing our account within the next 45 days. I will be sending information to every oversight agency I can locate noting the various “laws†this bank branch has cited as required. I will also establish a website to collect complaints to forward and through the use of social media provide the actual site that differentiates a bank’s set of regulations under which that bank operates versus the actual legal and regulatory requirements, something I would suggest you point out to your bank manager, Raquel Haward. I will certainly be letting all of our employees and my associates (email list, Face Book, LinkedIn) know of the poor service and misrepresentations this bank has and continues to make. As to the comments of being a billion dollar bank (wasn’t MCI, Blockbuster and Enron all billion dollar companies and then there was that whole bank renaming and failures – too big to fail), who cares.
I am just tired of poor, condescending service and being addressed in a manner that I couldn’t possibly understand the complexities of banking “lawsâ€, again someone might discuss the difference between Wells Fargo’s regulatory compliance versus banking regulations and laws. The Burke Wells Fargo Bank is not doing your brand well.
There are still smaller banks that understand customer service and addressing their client base in a civil and understanding tone and not as if we all are the disenfranchised populations banks have taken advantage of for far too long. One of them is in Cheyenne Wyoming.
Looking forward to finding the “banking law†that requires all banks to withhold deposited funds for seven business days.

If a CEO of Wells Fargo, has this much of a problem depositing a cheque, ....This says everything about Wells Fargo and their snobby attitudes.
For now, it all makes sense that us, Middle America, have issues with wells Fargo. Thank you, Sir, for your candid REVIEW ofWELLS FARGO BANKING.
I applaud you!

Store manager is rude, dishonest and aggressive. I had been a Wells Fargo customer for a long time but not after my experience with this branches store manager.
He put a hold on my account and then when I argued about it with him he made up a bull crap story about why he was correct. I am a fairly knowledgable customer about bank float and holds and his story was so foolish as to be laughable. I told him he was not telling the truth and he told me to leave the branch.
I would never ever use this branch again. The tellers are okay. They are trying but as long as he is at the bank I will neither set foot in the branch nor hold an account at Wells Fargo.
Customers have choices and I choose to bank at a branch and a bank that treats me with the proper courtesy as a customer.

I have been a customer since 1988 and have banked at Braches all over the western US. The "bankers" at THIS branch are the most un-customer-friendly people on earth! I feel like it is my job to make them feel good each time I go in. Kaylene is gone, and thing have gone downhill since. I'm switching banks.

I went to this branch o 12.12.14 to cancel my accounts. I had been with Wells Fargo since 1992, when it was called World Savings & Wachovia. In August, 2014 I switched to Bank of America for several negative reasons against Wells Fargo.
However, my mortgage is still with WF, so when i went to cancel unfortunately I had ended up with Amar Ramdhanie. without much explanation began to tell me about a credit card which would reduce my principle by pennies. He pushed me into this card. I didn't even realize it was a credit card. He gets the form out and begins filling it out assumming I want this service. I made a huge mistake because I did not say yes, but I never said no.
I have had no direct deposits and been in the negative because I switched to Bof A. Why would he even suggest this to me? The guy is a pusher and not clear as he talks way to fast. My credit was negatively affected. Best advice is to stay far away from him. I went back to WF the next week to CANCEL my accounts, his co-workers told me the same about him. I am not the first person he messed up.

In October your staff lost my payment. I called to see what happened and make my payment. Several days after I had stop payment on this check it suddenly reappeared and was sent to my bank. The check cost me $35 and then you bank charged me $25 returned check fee after me advising them when I made a payment per phone. You CSR gave me the amount to pay to bring the account current. Next months statement you accessed a $35.00 late fee. And now expect me to pay this on top of my regular payment. This is no way to treat along time customer and I am still waiting for you Csr supervisor to return my call this after I got hung up on and treated most rudely.

service manager, katie phillips at the winton branch should be terminated. she refuse to look at my account to find out where a check was. she refuse to let me speak to the branch manager and she refused to call the atm department to find out where this check was. this is rediculous that we as a consumer have to go through this. i would rate this branch and this service manager a big fat zero. its as if this branch is attempting to embezzel money from an elderly lady.

I had accounts with The Wabash Indiana Wells Fargo. They were terrible. Wait times were HUGE!! They lied to me to get me to open a credit card, and said it would stop my monthly fees. Originally they lied as well and said there were no monthly fees. Then after closing my account one child support check was sent to them accidentally and for 21 days they held that check at the Wabash Office. I called and threatened them with the BBB and they returned the check to the state within 24 hours. Will not go back.

Horrific experience with customer service. Yelled at by the bank manager. Customer did NOT scream at him. She raised her voice out of frustration when he would not listen to her when she was trying to ask him a question over his ranting. He admitted in front of bank witnesses that he yells at customers on the phone or in person when they yell at him. Is this banking or is it bullying?

you all think your unhappy with this bank. i ma sick of the vinton virginia branch location. i simply went to that atm on friday december 12, 2014 and deposited a check for my elderly mom in order to cash it for her so she could get her grand kids chrismas presents. it wouldnt let me have the money after i deposited the check and i have called that branch 4 times to get this resolved and each person i spoke with tells me the same thing that the check was sent back in the mail because the atm didnt reconize the name on the front of the check. i called today and spoke to katie phillips whom is the service maanger and she refused to help me with this, she refused to look up my account and she refused to let me speak to the branch manager and she refused to call the atm department on my behalf to fine out where this check was. so i had to email the president and every manager in that office and this is rediculous that i even have to go through this. its like this branch is embezzleing money from an elderly lady. if katie phillips isnt terminated from her position im just going to start filing complaints with the attorney general the united states supreme court, the commonwealth attorney for embezzlement etc. this is rediculous period. that people open up accounts in order to try and improve there ability to live an ordinary every day life and try to succeed in life and you have a service manager like this thats refuses to help you. this is rediculous and i would tell any body and every body not to open any new accounts with wells fargo. especially at the vinton location. i would rate this location a zero for customer service. big fat zero.

I worked for Wells Fargo for almost a year and during that time was at 4 different branches. The managers are ALL really inexperienced. The only qualification if takes to be a Manager there is the ability to get a ton of sales. If you can do that- then you'll never get fired. WF does not care about customers... only sales.

Wells Fargo North Hills, Raleigh NC: I am not a customer however I went in to cash a personal check I received from a relative that banks with WF. I was approached by a blond haired black woman who got into my personal space. She proceeded to ask me questions about who I bank with and would I consider a product that WF was offering that did not require I start an account. I ask her to give me some information to take with me as I was on my lunch and had other errands to run. She said ok and invited me to sit at her desk. I ask again for the information and she went into her "hard sell" it was very rude and unprofessional as I regretted walking in the door. I told her no thank you because the $5 a month fee alone was a turn off. She smiled and said that I was a "hot mess"!!! I was not only insulted but truly offended by her statement. Her customer service skills suck and she is a ugly representation of the Wells Fargo brand by her ability to smile and insult customers. I probably avoid that branch all together.
