I would rate the bank -10 if that was an option. I called the 800 customer service after giving all my info and "first born" to just talk to someone in Birmingham about a Gold Medallion notary. I have been with the bank 30 years, through 3 takeovers (South Trust, Wachovia and now Wells Fargo) and this is how they treat their customers. They said they dropped that service without any notification to customers.  I talked with a flunky (I think his name was Daniel)in Birmingham and he checked with his supervisor and told me they do not offer that service anymore.  I told him I talked with a friend in another bank in town and she told me that is a very important service they must offer to their clients in their Trust Department, that is it a bonded service. The transaction had to be proven and searched before they can put their Gold Medallion on the document. I asked to talk to his supervisor and he left me on hold for ten minutes (until I hung up) and NO ONE TALKED TO ME.  VERY POOR SERVICE. The supervisor could have at least taken the time to talk to me.  That is what they get paid the big bucks for.  Instead I had to go back to the 800 customer service and go through all the private information that they require, AGAIN. She finally hooked me up with someone in Birmingham called Whitney and she told me they do not offer that service.  I told her the problems I was having and what poor service I received.  That the supervisor did not even take the time to talk to me when I called the first time. She said she will make out a complaint and I asked her to send me a copy of it.  I am so disappointed in that bank.  I will be looking elsewhere.

Poor customer service. My husband tried to deposit $100 into my son's account. They asked for ID. They refused to deposit the cash into the account as my husband isn't on the account. They told my husband to go to Wawa and buy a money order. They were concerned about us money laundering $100 dollars. Wasn't Wells Fargo involved in illegal opening accounts. They didn't return my husband's ID. I will ask my son to close this account. My husband spent 20 minutes waiting.

I am going to change banks. I've been here since 1984. Service is so S L O W. Why did u close the bank on keys ferry? I really am tired of having to wait 15 to 20 mins in drive thru. Doesn't matter what time of day or what time of month. Always have to wait. Open other branch up. Hwy 42 is so inconvenient. I only go once a month to make a deposit.

Dont fall for their insincere smiles!   I soon found out I was being charged for things that I should have gotten for free!  I have been with wells fargo for many years.  I have a business, saving, and my son has several accounts with them as well (he is linked to my account).  I was beong charged for MANY services I should not have!!   I was recently out of town on business and went to a different wells fargo branch and the woman who helped me was surprised I was paying for the service I asked her for!  She then had my account changed so i wouldnt be charged for that service again!   My newtown branch employees NEVER bothered telling me.  I went to the newtown bank the following week for a very large bank check.  I shortly returned because I forgot another transaction.  The manager of the bank was just standing next to the teller, her arms crossed, smiling and just standing there while I just stood there waiting!!  I believe she was purposely ignoring me.  When she finally looked up, i joking said “shooting the breeze I see”.  She chucked and she still stood there doing absolutely nothing.  Finally, she casually just slowly walked around, again doing nothing as I stood there.  I waited for the other teller to finish with her customer.  There was a few other negative ordeals that happened that very day but I will stop here. From all my years of working with banks, Wells Fargo in Newtown is by far the worst yet!!   I am fairly certain any other bank you choose would be have at least some integrity, and care about not wasting your time!!  I am quite certain Newtown Wells Fargo is lacking any professionalism/integroty whatsoever.  I will never be doing business with them again.

I have had the worst banking experience in my life yesterday, at the East Point, GA branch.

I have a WF personal checking account and an insurance company sent me a refund check for my business name. I had closed my business account in December and was now required to open a new one.

I met with RO, who looked at my llc paperwork and asked for my EIN. I told him that I'm doing everything through my SSN. He said that I needed an EIN. I told him that I'm the only member and a single-member-llc is a disregarded entity by the IRS

-----------------------------
For federal income tax purposes, a single-member LLC classified as a disregarded entity generally must use the owner's social security number (SSN) or employer identification number (EIN) for all information returns and reporting related to income tax. For example, if a disregarded entity LLC that is owned by an individual is required to provide a Form W-9, Request for Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and Certification, the W-9 should provide the owner’s SSN or EIN, not the LLC’s EIN.

Longer version here.  https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/single-member-limited-liability-companies
-------------------------------------------

He told me that I was wrong. I asked him to call his superior so that they can clarify it for him. He said that he didn't need to ask anyone, because he knew. I told him that he was obviously not educated on the subject and he walked out and got 2 other guys to stand in his office and tell me that I didn't know what I was talking about and tried to intimidate me to leave.

This was absolutely ridiculous behavior. How can you have people working in a customer service capacity that don't know the rules and have too fragile an ego to try to ask someone else to make sure about the situation?

He never even bothered looking at my checking account, which had a substantial amount in it - so, I clearly wasn't trying to scam them for a $ 500 check. Maybe it's because I'm a woman, maybe it's because I'm white. Who knows. Bottom line is that they were wrong and weren't willing to even entertain that possibility and treated me with huge disrespect.

Fortunately, when I had calmed down, I called the Moreland Ave branch and spoke to Mr. AC, who was educated enough to know that I was correct and he helped me open the account, so that I could deposit the check.

I have been a costumer of Wells Fargo For 8 years and recently we discovered that  Wells Fargo gave two mortgage loans on each of or two homes one in Valdez Alaska and one in Cottonwood Heights UT to Karen Stokes formerly Karen Cummings.  The realtors that we worked with on these two homes are Sound Realty Alice Mcdonald in Valdez and Jim Williams Realty Spencer Wheatley in Cottonwood Heights Utah. Jake Kilgtow in Wilson WY apparently has been involved with this fraud in WY.  The Bank Manager in Valdez literally was from Jamaica of which is awesome, but she literally was working stocking shelves at Safeway on a J-1 Visa four years ago and somehow became the bank manager, she lied to me saying I had no mortgages on my homes, We heard she fled town.  While I was in Wilson Wyoming I had another Bank Manager tell me I had no loans getting lied to again. The Jackson Hole banker printed out the loans and was very concerned and professional but Wells Fargo has done nothing about the fraud.  I guess the people that had there lives destroyed by the Valdez Police department, banks, realtors and attorneys where there homes went empty after Jeremy O-Neal and Matt Wadsworth of Providence medical Center. Wells Fargo and First National Bank Alaska (FNBA) who set these Americans up for failer and with Sound Realty left the home off the market in some some cases for 2 plus years just so illegal mortgages could be pulled and it appears that they left the heat off on purpose so the pipes would freeze so the realtor and the contractor Mike Hamilton Construction and Dan Vandermulen could double dip getting a higher then necessary construction loan spend 1/4 on to fix it for there own and invest the rest with Paul Moore, Platt River Equity, Rittman and Nyquist financial. Class act Pyramid Pool Investment scheme ripping off the hark working people of our Country,  Attorneys that appear to be involved Quackenbushes, David Henderson, Kara Hyquist, Lynda Lymon, Evan Bareckman and Brenna Bell and Clarkson.  I Went to the Valdez PD and they showed me who they are by not investigating it, because this would mess up the assets they have have accumulated getting mortgeges for a brilliant Pyramid Pool Investment that is sure to crash our econamy.  Then I went to the FBI in Anchorage and met with some one who claimed to be an agent and he give me a bossiness card with a .net e-mail instead of a .gov and the e-mail went to some David Blankenship.  We have the title recorder at the city hacking titles, Eric Bobo the State of Alaska digital security officer hacking changing titles at the state of Alaska and the City DA Jake Stacer setting citizens up so Wells Fargo, First National Bank Alaska William Stark, Doug Longacre, Bill Walker and Brenna Bell and Clarkson Law can get away with hurting famlies, embezzlement and fraud While Bright Solutions and Lee and Lucas Brown of Tune Geeks in the Woods can hack the City computers trying to destroy the proof of this Fraudster Pyramid Pool Group that is going strong.    Time to take back the constitution!

The branch manager for the Berwick Plantation SAVANNAH ya location of Wells Fargo is absolutely the most unprofessional, inappropriate and disappointing representative your bank could have. The way our client, Board President was treated yesterday was appalling. She simply needed to close an account of less than 300.00 and was abused, our firm torn down, refusal to assist her even though she had an authorized signatory letter, the By laws and covenants.  What our board conveyed to us as to how they were treated and what this person had to say about my firm who has zero dealing with us was shameful and embarrassing to our client which was once your client.  Is this how you treat people who need to close and account? You humiliate them in public in the presence of other customers?  Your Branch Manager for this site just secured the loss of any clients we would have referred to you.   You lost the opportunity to be considered for a 1.3 million dollar loan project we had been discussing.  Never will I allow our clients to consider your banks again after the total lack of regard for our Board President and the need to humiliate her and I would caution very carefully should you continue to allow this person to serve in the BM capacity what slander and libel is and not to take for granted they may say anything they wish without repercussion.  I would recommend to any one thinking of using this bank specially this branch never to do so.  They do not value the client.  They allow abuse and what we deem a complete and total failure of customer service and professionalism and of the Branch Manager is not looked into for what happens yesterday then it speaks volumes as to why they felt they could behave in this manner.  We will be reporting this to Wells Fargo board of directors for Wells Fargo and file a grievance with regarding what took place at that branch yesterday.  I reiterate that my company will never consider Wells Fargo for any type of banking or lending needs and remove any opportunity we discussed with you to provide a possible loan for our client of 1.3 million dollars for a project upcoming.  As a result of your branch manager never wipukd Wells Fargo be considered.

We will get the account closed.  We will be filing grievances with every entity appropriate and will never allow Wells Fargo to provide any banking need to our clients.

I waited over 30 minutes to be seen by one of the bankers and no one said anything to me and one of the tellers went to assist someone else before me. I’m not the one to complain but I just wasted my time and no was took the time to inform me about the wait time. One of the young ladies (teller) was kind to me so that’s why I gave the 3 stars other then that it was such a bad expericance. Not enough staff defiantly needs improving.

Although I've been Wells Fargo's customer for over 9 years but I closed my account after I moved to Hunt Valley area.  This Wells Fargo's branch has a nasty and absolutely unprofessional attitude and  customer service.  Looks like Charlita Brooks is a part time employee; however, I have been dealing with her a few times and gave up Wells Fargo bank altogether!! She has been ling to me about bank rules regarding cashier's check and did not let me to withdraw from my own account while I was able to do the same request at the Wells Fargo York Rd and Timonium right after I left Hunt Valley branch. Charlita Brooke is one unprofessional bank employee and it is huge shame on Wells Fargo management as how come and based on what qualifications they have hired this nasty women!?

I went to Wells Fargo to deposit some money that I had acquired from my business that was mostly in 10's, and was questioned by Shelley the bank teller and I quote "What's with all the 10's?" First of all, you are a bank and the last time I checked 10 dollar bills were accepted . I think it is incredibly rude and in poor professional conduct to ask why I have so many 10 dollar bills and ask me to explain that I own a business. I have never had a problem with Wells fargo but now I am truly considering changing not only my personal account but also my business account with wells fargo, Thanks Shelley!

Staff is very accommodating and friendly. But every time our branch has been sold from one bank to another fees have gone up, service has gone down. This rush to consolidation has resulted in a local bank that is no longer "local". Mgrs and staff are not allowed to make independent decisions.

This is by far the WORST Wells Fargo bank to attend. Not only are the tellers nasty and rude, but they also make you feel uncomfortable. I usually go to my Wells Fargo Bank on Morris Ave (which is excellent service), but went to this Wells Fargo for the second time and was disappointed YET AGAIN. The first time I went to this bank, the teller was giving me an attitude about my check because it was handwritten by boss and made me feel as though I was a shady customer. I work for my money as much as everyone else. On top of this, the teller even had the audacity to give me the third degree on why my CHECKING account was -1.00, when it was only negative because they transfer that dollar into your savings. The SECOND time I went to this bank (which I only went to because it was convenient at the time), not only was the line out the door, but the staff in general seemed lazy. After sitting in line to give MY money to the bank for 20 minutes, I decided to deposit my check into the ATM (bc normally my regular bank clears my money every Thursday when I deposit my check at 3:45 pm), and again ANOTHER issue occurs with this bank. Not only was my money never cleared, but after calling the Wells Fargo customer service center I was informed that this was an act of pure laziness. After the customer service rep looked at all my transaction history he informed me that there is staff at the bank that clears the checks deposited. If I didn't deposit my check right before closing my money should be available to me. At the Wells Fargo on Morris Ave I deposit my money at 345 every Thursday and my funds are available to me immediately because THEY DO THEIR JOB THERE. There is no reason why a legitimate check is being deposited almost 3 HOURS before the bank closes and my money isn't available until the following morning. PLEASE THINK IT THROUGH BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS BANK. You will be unsatisfied every single time, because I am not the only person who attended this bank and had these issues. I really hope this helps those of you who work for your money and use the bank to HELP ASSIST YOU WITH YOUR MONEY, not give you a hard time and inconvenience you because they are lazy.

Identity Thieves Working At WELLS FARGO locations Coast to Coast! We were victimized!

by IDTheftReport2020, Oct. 22, 2016

From California to Florida WELLS FARGO has a huge problem with employees who are identity thieves. In Port St Lucie Florida our friend Mary Ann Schoens went through hell after Marland Anderson stole her identity and emptied out her account. She was in her late 70's and the stress from the event was horrible; in fact she died a short time after the WELLS FARGO thief who pretended to help her when she went into the branch location where Marland worked. Instead he stole her identity and several other customers and created duplicate debit cards illegally used them to access cash from ATMs! Marland was caught on video taking the cash using the fraudulently created cards. He was arrested - convicted and went to jail. Lots of the 5300 employees WELLS FARGO CEO John Stumpf talked about firing when he was in front of the Senate and House hearings investigating WELLS FARGO were actually identity thieves!! No wonder John Stumpf did not want to discuss it but many of them can be seen at IDTheftReport2020,including Marland Anderson. Bank of America has a huge problem with employees like Mario Elizondo stealing customers identities. Elizondo worked at CEO Brian Moynihan's Bank of America Chicago branch location called the Six Corners Bank of America on Irving Park. Like Marland Anderson, Mario Elizondo created bogus debit cards from the identities of senior citizens he stole and then emptied out their accounts! Mario Elizondo even used the funds for extravagant travel like the trip to Barcelona Spain and Mykonos Greece that he took his lover Jorge Cadenas -also a veteran identity thief - on during August 2016! There are thousands of victims in these cases which are usually at the megabanks rather than community banks.Bank of America was never even aware that Elizondo, a veteran Bank of America employees, was ripping off customers. It was only through a tremendous amount of investigative effort by IDTheftReport2020 associates that led to Mario Elizondo as being the perpetrator. Bank of America denied the claim of the Chicago senior when they conducted their so-called bogus investigation and told the victim he was the person their investigators said was responsible! That was completely unacceptable and ultimately untrue. The victims account was an untouched Roth IRA account which Elizondo attached a checking account to and then the bogus temporary VISA ATM card. BEWARE IN DEALING WITH BOTH WELLS FARGO AND BANK OF AMERICA! Many more details can be viewed at IDTheftReport2020.

this bank is scammers they are so quick to accuse people of doing wrong and will lock your account up with no warnings or written notice. do not mess with this bank im telling you! I have dault with them in the past and each time I regret ever dealing with them!I'm 31 years old and i have four kids and a teen. I hate when I'm treated like a child because of my looks and voice.  People assume I'm a very young adult and not in a good way, but I let them just to see how far they will go and to see what kind of person they are. well this younger banker basically tried to accuse me of planning a scheme with my debit card by the way don't even have my name on it. she went on and on about how they fix it to were the scam couldn't be done anymore. my whole thing is she was so worried about me and other folks when the fact of the matter they was on the world news for scamming their customers and opening accounts in people names just to make it look like they were meeting sales. but anyhow this young banker had the nerve to ask for my log in information and not only that ask me what was my source of income and ask if I was planning to do direct deposit with them and i told her yea. but ofcourse by law the bank isn't allowed to set up direct deposit without me filling out a form I honestly don't know how she did it but she did it she cancelled out my direct deposit with my other bank and set up the direct deposit with their bank I was waiting and waiting on my money to post I thought my other bank was holding my funds. I was going off on them like crazy because I missing almost 700 dollars in my account and i started getting a feeling like what if somehow wellsfargo had It sent to them and sure enough I got a message saying my direct deposit has posted. do you have any ideal how stupid I felt going off on my other bank accusing them if stealing my money and sending them emails and calling them I swear I'm not letting this crap go! this was pure fraud and i have solid proff thank god this may not seem like a big deal to you but to me it Is. that is just creepy for someone to call with your personal information pretending to be you or even signing your signature to get what they want. my entire day was taken up today because of this crap and not only that I tried to close my account out and they wouldn't do it I wasn't negative or nothing didn't owe them crap tell me why when i went to the bank to pull my money out from the direct deposit they setup they tried to tell me i couldn't get it out ofcourse after a good 25min they came off it and I told them my account should've been closed.and i also said my money wasn't never suppose to come here to begin with. I didn't tell any of you to setup direct deposit for me and then I said again I want Thus account closed.well the next day I logged in my account to make sure nothing was going on but sure enough my direct deposit that I withdrawn they made it disappear like it was never their now I owe them like 659.07 and when i called they tried to say they sent my money back because my account was closed at that Time but it's not even closed so that was another lie and the 2nd lie they said was I have to pay the money back. thats one thing I hate about wellsfargo they know how to make transactions disappear. but they messed with the right women I'm sueing them for emotional distress and finacial distress because I was late getting paid because of them and the stress they caused me of not knowing were my money was for six days was wrong. like I said I have kids to take care of and I'm pregnant all this unnesserary stress and also they lied about a check I deposited last month they said it was counterfeit when that wasn't the case and i have prof of that as well I never deault with so much bs in such a short period of time in my life with a bank I can't believe they took a chance of lossing their job over something so silly all I know is you can't do harm to me it's splitting a pole or crossing a paths with a black cat you jenxs yourself for nothing!!!

While traveling on Saturday, July 30, 2016 I stopped by this branch to get some extra cash while I was on the road. This was just after 9:00am in the morning. This is not my branch that I do business with andI am so glad. As I was trying to withdraw $80from my account I called the girl in the drive thru and told her I needed to withdraw some money. I sent her my bank card and license and she sent me back a withdrawal slip and a pen. When I opened the tube the pen fell out where I could not locate it. I grabbed a pen i had and filled out the form and sent it back to her. She immediately called back on the speaker and said mam this is filled out in pencil. I sent you a pen. I explained to her that the pen fell out of the tube and I couldn't find it so I used my own pen. So she said in her nasty voice i will send you another pen. But wanted me to fill out the same form i had filled out already. so i filled in the amount with the 2nd pen she sent me and sent it back again. She called me again and said i needed to fill out the form with the pen. Now i was confused. If i needed to fill out a form again why didn't she send me a new form? By this time I was so angry. I proceeded to call her and tell her to send back my card and my license. I had had it with her. She was the rudest individual I have dealt with in a very long time. She had my blood boiling. I didn't get her name because I was fuming. I left the drive thru and had to stop and sit for awhile because this witch had made me so angry. I have not only experienced other people in Palm Coast before but she won the race. Nastiest people I have ever come in contact with. Very poor customer service. My job involves extensive customer service and if I acted this way to any of our customers I might as well be looking for a new job. I know who you are and you should and I will make it a point to complain to the top of Wells Fargo.

The most horrible banking experience I have ever had. So much for big corporate banking that does not care about the client.
The branch manager does not even have courtesy to call me regarding my concern even when I went to the bank 5 times to address my problem.
They promise the world but does not deliver. What a horrible experience from the manager and staff of Wells Fargo.

As soon as we walked in Monica Awasthi looked at us like WHAT DO YOU WANT?
We wanted notary service which they couldn't do it the way we wanted but that's fine we understand but please please explain and say it in a a nice way rather than so rude. The manager came to talked to us he was not better either.Monica said to go ahead and complaint about her.
I went to the missouri city location the day before showed the branch manager the paper work the way we wants it done.
He said that's fine that's why we came here.At the missouri city location also I had same experience they were all so rude. When I told the manager i don't have much time left to turn the paper work in so I need it notarized as soon as possible he said it's not his problem.Since it's a free service please don't be so rude.We came to you because we have an account with you. Please understand we have a choice and there are plenty of other banks out there that provides better service.

A teller told me that I was unable to make a cash withdrawal from my account, because a cash deposit was made the same day. Most institutions recognize cash deposits as "available tender" immediately.  I went to another Wells Fargo branch and was able to withdrawal MY money. Also, the customer service was excellent.

It's really a shame that this beautiful Wells Fargo location in Astoria, Oregon has such an over bearing and degrading management staff. I had gone in to make a simple deposit. The teller who was quite nice told me there was a problem with the check and needed to ask for assistance from a manager. I told the teller that would be fine and waited for the assistant manager to help. The assistant manager came over looked at the check and proceeded to lecture me on how the check was potentially fraudulent and refused to deposit it into my account. It made me feel as though I was a criminal instead of a account holder at this bank. I had asked the manager why my deposits where such a problem only at this location? I was trying to understand what the potential problem was and how to go about fixing it. The manager replied that due to the fact that I had not had my account here for more than a year they would not accept any of my paychecks from my local employer with no further discussion to be had. Then the manager proceeded to inform me that I was welcome to cash it over at the Bank of the Pacific. A bank in which I do not have an established account and I was not looking to cash my check regardless. It's a shame when a bank will not accept your funds with nothing asked for in return and have their pretentious and demeaning staff treat you like dirt.

They keep turning-over new hires, the good clerks leave, the good manager left also. The current manager is some what offensive in her interactions.  The staff-are- either, real good and/or real bad, but good ones leave. I went into the Keizer branch and the first question the manager asks of me is "Are You OK?" Very odd question, not- what can I do for you today, but instead she asks again "Are you sure your OK?" I was a little offended by this- so I asked Her "are you OK?" Her response was very LOUD "Of course- I'm fantastic!" So then.... I wondered what was she really saying, that I'm not?- But she is?
I found her behavior exaggerated, superficial and detached from reality.
-Who does the hiring and do they actually care what their staff portray? And/or do they know what the inside workings really look like? I wished the other tellers were available I really don't do superficial all that well.
