An absolute dog pile for customer service. We had taken out a lump sum of cash to cover a check we had written, so we had the cash on hand when it debited the account. The check was taken out of our account after 6pm on a Tuesday (I know this because I sent a Venmo from the same checking account at 6pm that night and when I woke up the account was negative from the check posting)

My husband was going to put the cash into the account within the 24 hour window, but by lunch time on Wednesday (less than 12 hours since the check posted) The check was returned to sender and a $30 charge posted to our account.

I called customer service to see if the fee could be waived, if the check could post and we would deposit the cash before 5pm. I was told the check was already returned to sender and we would need to wait until they requested the funds again, and the $30 fee would be up to management to waive. I was unable to talk to management as they don't allow customers to do that, and was told management also did not have to inform me of the decision once they determined whether the $30 would be refunded or not.

After some further digging, I found the sender's bank IS FCB. So, the circles they sent me in were completely inflicted and controlled BY THEIR TEAM.

I will be closing my account of 13 years to find another bank.
