I waited 45 minutes for a cashier's cheque. They wanted to charge me for traveler's cheques which I've never had to pay for in my 35 years with this bank. I went there 5 days ago and they had none to sell.
Definitely, a basic bank, but not full service. nice staff, but not all that knowledgeable. He didn't eve have me sign my traveler's cheques! only 1/3 of them.

Attempted to get a home equity loan with this branch. Branch manager was rude did not return phone calls. ranch manager does not want to do any business for the average person, guess they are only interested in the big oil companys. Avoid this branch office at all costs. I am refinancing my home loan to get away from this bank. They lose!

I've been banking with US Bank for almost 15 Years and that in itself says a lot. I didn't think that the service was the best at first, but I believe they have improved over the years.
I tend to believe the quality of service varies between branches too.
I'd like to take the time to send kudos to the US Bank at 4500 Hurstbourne Parkway in Louisville, KY. They always treat me with great respect and bend over backwards to see that my needs are met. Every person at that branch deserves a raise.

The staff here were rude to me from the moment I opened my account. I should have taken my business elsewhere, but didn't want the inconvenience. After I moved and opened a new account, I paid off my balances owed and left the account at $0. With NO NOTIFICATION, I was assessed monthly fees of $6.95 on my FREE checking account. They began withdrawing money from my reserve line account. Three months later, I finally received notification of the matter. An hour at my new branch and a phone call to Dinkytown later, they were unwilling to waive the fees, not to mention my credit score will probably be affected. U.S. Bank, U.S.uck!

I would recommend this bank to anyone! The tellers are professional and friendly. Debbie Arroya (mortgage banker) is the greatest person to work with for home mortgages. I have also worked with Brandon in the past and he is very helpful. We have two loans with them currently and will use them for any future banking needs.

I pay my 4 mortgages every month in person, at this branch. Last month I got a late notice from one of the accounts. I thought that was strange since I had paid it. Come to find out the teller had credited one account twice and that left one unpaid. Well, everyone makes mistakes, right? So I was easy on them and just went back and showed them all my receipts etc. and the lady supposedly fixed it. I told her that I wanted it in writing that it was all reversed and fixed and that my late fee was credited. Just found out that they dinged my husbands credit with a past 30 day late. I'm so furious!

So, yesterday we went to safeway branch to use western union service there. The guy was very bad to me, he couldn't find my country (Kyrgyzstan) he was saying something that I could't understand (he was saying Kyrghyz Republic which is incorrect) when I told him that it suppose to be KYRGYZSTAN not KYRGHYZ REPUBLIC he started laughing and said that I don't know how to wrote name of my country. Recently, I was charged double on my Visa debit card account that I have with US Bank. After speaking with the company directly and not getting any results, I went the US Bank and Melanie worked with me. She called the company while I was standing there. She professionally explained the situation and what the problem was. Since the company wouldn't change the doubled charges, Melanie put a fraud claim on my Visa account. Within 10 days, my account was cleared up and corrected.

I don't have to do much business at the bank itself. But when I do I appreciate tellers very much. I don't usually have to wait or the wait isn't long because there are always enough tellers. I have been a customer since the 1990's. The bank was formerly San Diego National Bank, and it was always wonderful and deserves five stars! U.S. Bank brought in a new manager, Terri Darton, who screwed up all of the accounts, was rude, unprofessional, and even abusive to the customers, and kept threatening to close the accounts of the good, long-standing customers.
Instead of firing this delinquent manager, U.S. Bank transfered her to Mission Valley. So, we now have our beloved Clairemont Branch back, but the folks in Mission Valley are being subjected to abuse. Beware!
I urge U.S. Bank to fire Terri Darton for cause, and replace her with someone competent and professional.
