Went to cash a check from management company who happen to use another US bank branch. The woman told my husband, both my husband and I have to physically go in to let her check our identity,(I had signed at the back of the check already, and it was not good enough for her.) then we can cash the check. so my husband went out to get me( while she keep my husband's ID and the check) and two young children. after we went in, she then told us, we will have to leave our "finger prints" and there will be $5 charge. At the same time, she had a rude facial expression. I decided not to cash the check at the moment and was glade that I had closed my account 2 weeks ago.
I have to say she was not the only one that I am not happy with, I would say every time when I had to physical go in to this branch, I was not pleased, because their rude attitudes. I opened the account because it is close to our house and I did thought of using this bank to replace my current bank because there is no branch in this town. The reasons that stopped me from switching were "bank teller's attitude", and I don't feel they really appreciate my business. My husband told me multiple times, the clerks work at this branch always made him feel as if he is stealing our own money. He even refused going in to this branch. I had to force him to go in today, because I am very pregnant.  
The managers are actually good, but the clerks need to be replaced, I have noticed these people got worse when the managers are not at desk, for example, the lunch time.

I knew I had made a mistake signing with US Bank after the first day. In fact, I tried to correct the error by asking if I could close my account (less than a week into it) and they said I would have to have the account open for six months before I could close it or else suffer a penalty. I should have taken the penalty and run.

The manager at the Maumelle branch where I opened my account is a special kind of RUDE... just nasty, and the other staff is dry and not helpful at all. When I opened my account, I wanted to do so using the name that I always go by... the one that was on my driver’s license, but she INSISTED that I had to use the name on my SS Card, which I stopped using years ago. She took me through a number of changes just to open the account. I looked past it because the bank was walking distance from my townhouse and I worked from home and thought it would be nice to have the bank that close. I thought I would be able to build some good rapport with the staff.  Please.

Beyond the rudeness and the dryness, they are masters at manipulating transaction to overdraw your account. I think it is the primary way they make their money, which means they are incompetent bankers. Maybe all banks are like that now, which does not say much for their ability to turn a profit without stealing from customers.

I moved my lock box because the only hours the lobby is open are the hours I work.  This branch denied my daughter a loan for her first vehicle.  I offered to co-sign and they still refused.  I have a credit rating of 820.  Arvest made her the loan.  I am in the process of moving all my accounts to Arves.

Ever since U.S. Bank took over Union Bank, my experience has been extremely disappointing. In 2020, I stopped payment on a $500 check through Union Bank. After the merger, U.S. Bank assigned me a new account and routing number. I updated all my information accordingly with payroll and any businesses requiring my banking details.

However, in August 2024, U.S. Bank cashed the very same $500 check that I had stopped four years ago. The check was clearly dated from 2020 and contained my old Union Bank account number. Despite this, U.S. Bank processed the transaction and has since made numerous excuses to avoid reimbursing the funds, which were paid to someone who had no business cashing that check.

More recently, I deposited a tax refund check, endorsed to my company and signed by both my husband and me, as I’ve done for years. Yet, it was rejected because my husband’s name is not on the business account. When we came in person to resolve the issue, the teller or manager refused to accept the deposit. To make matters worse, she smugly stated, "This is why we took over Union Bank," as if that justified the poor customer service.

In my opinion, U.S. Bank operates without regard for its customers. Their practices are not only frustrating but also unethical. I will be closing my account and moving to a more community-oriented bank—similar to what Union Bank used to be. It’s ironic that large corporate banks are quick to receive government bailouts, yet fail to do basic due diligence, like preventing stopped or outdated checks from being cashed.

If I could rate U.S. Bank a negative 1000, I would. They are, without question, a bad bank.

I started my corporation with Union Bank in the 1990's and was extremely happy with their service until US Bank took over.

Victor has always been enormously helpful with my accounts. Never have long wait times, staff always very pleasant;  wish their money market interest rate was higher, however.  Excellent banking experience.

Don't bank with US Bank! I'm very disappointed with the service of US Bank, it's always an hour or more on the phone for their mortgage department only to get contradicting answers each time. They assign a "mortgage assistant" to each customer; however, don't ever expect to talk to your "assistant." The branch offices are just as awful, especially at the location closest to where I work and live. You can't get any help over the phone because they never answer the phone. Then when you go in, they are rude and act like you are putting them out. It's a sad situation. I went in today and the associate could not see transactions past two weeks on my checking account. What? He said he would have to get his manager. I said ok but he said he would have her call me. It's now been six hours and I still haven't heard and highly suspect I will not hear from her. Ready to switch all my accounts and my family's accounts. Ugh! I've had accounts with them for more than 20 years, now they are charging me a monthly maintenance fee for doing LESS than ever. I've had more complications from Bank associates who don't know what they are doing! It's been hours and hours and hours of trying to get things straightened out. Don't trust US Bank.

We switch all of our account to US Bank here in Shelbyville KY. Not a single complaint! They have treated us like we are their only customer! We will continue to bank with these fine folks!

Very poor customer service

This afternoon I came into office to change my bank account type. Waited for the bank associate to finish with a customer at her desk.  I thought the clerk at the window couldn’t help with this. After she finished with that person I asked kindly if I could be next. She nicely waved me back and said someone would help me soon. After completing some phone calls she left her desk to speak with a clerk at the front desk. When returning to her desk she went to the next couple in line who had just came in and asked them how she could help them, ignoring me. I asked her if I needed to come back at a different time. Again she said someone would help me shortly. At that point I realized she was not a person I could trust to help me. Walking back to my vehicle I also realized the couple she helped matched her race. Hopefully this wasn’t the reason she ignored me and hopefully she won’t get promoted as a result of this incident.

have never been treated better by any banking establishment ever.. I have a home mortgage,checking,2 cd's, line of credit, and had a personal loan as well.It doesnt matter that I am in the red most of the time, I have always been treated with respect. The branch manager even took care of part of my final loan payment due to a misunderstanding on my part. I have always seen them flex and bend with any of my needs. They certainly have more to lose than I do should we part ways. I really love banking with US Bank. Even the people on the credit card side are amazing.. I dont think I have ever entered my home branch bank and not been acknowledged. Kuddos to Dan and his fabulous team from the tellers, Aubry,who is so awesome, to the loan specialists, Meagan, who is so much fun! Thank you Dan, you have no idea how grateful I am.

Bad customer service

Was told by drive up window worker on 04/21/2023 @9:06am  if a check doesn't scan there is no other way to accept it, and that a new check would need to be provided (  this was for a business so that would have been a very difficult thing to accomplish, she was very rude, basically said take your business elsewhere. Hope my company takes there business  back to central bank of Eldon as we never had a problem with them.

My mom is elderly and banks there, who has plenty of money. They give her such a hard time, taking her through loops to gain access into her account and refuse to allow her to speak to a manager. They give her wrong account information. The list goes on and on!

OMGosh!!!
Totally un organized!  They had months to prepare for a loan that my husband and i were co-signing on. Proir to the official signing the borrowers were told they could go to a branch to sign some other document but when the arrived the bank said they were to busy and sent the to the other branch.  The day of signing all four if us sign and leave. After being a mile away we get a call to come back because Nicole forgot to have us sign something.  She apologized and although I said no worries I was a bit disappointed because the roads were bad from freezing cold and snow and it was inconvenient to go back but i was not to mad.  Now its been ONE Month later and US Bank/ Nicole called and said the way the papers were done said my husband was married to the borrowers husband and I was married yo the borrowers wife therefore we all need to come bavk in an re-sign!!  I'm getting ready to leave on a trip along with other very important things going on over tge next week and now we have to figure out a time to go do this all over again! I asked to do it electronically this time but Nicole says it can not be done electronically, SERIOUSLY!! People sign legal documents electronically all over the world on a dsily basis but US Bank can't!  OMG!  HOW MAMY MISTAKES can they make! How many times do we all hzve to go back because they messed up.  At this point they should be so apologetic that they shoukd comme to my house with a notary and the new papers!! REALY US BANK!!!

I went to this location to have a document notarized.  I called several days before to see if both parties had to be account holders and was told one was ok.  Today I arrived and was informed both parties had to be USBANK customers.  I left and went to the Bonner Springs location which provided outstanding customer service with no questions asked.  Thank You, Bonner location for your curiosity.

US Bank could be twice as profitable if they would fire the back of the house and upper management. They sold my REI card to Capital One, made it impossible to get a new CC or a mortgage and they don’t work well with Zelle or Venmo. I don’t even use my US Bank CC. I have an 800 FICO and they treat me like dirt.

Kramer peters...Mortgage loan specialist replied to my inquiry on 11-15-22. Literally badgering me with phone messages. After Appling for a mortgage pre-approval, and qualifying, he never sent any letter or email stating such. Verbally  he confirmed. Meanwhile I found my dream home, and had to email this guy wondering what the lack of any communication was! Wheres my preapproval letter?.meanwhile I purchased a home...US bank mortgage
 association embarrassed me with my realtor...left me high and dry ..and  IMHO is the WORST. FYI,FACT, 3 emails and one call to Kramer peters since has gone unanswered.
Avoid US Bank mortgage association apply with a professional, caring, and local bank.

we were there yesterday 11/14/22 and the skinny hispanic teller was no help and was very rude against us and other lady the show up the change her address, she didn’t want to help us so we took our business somewhere else, we went to o other bank the the service was exceptional, we will not be coming back to US bank in columbus,Ne

Scam Thwarted!

I want to thank US Bank, Des Peres MO branch and especially Kate Johnston-Adams for their help in guiding my elderly mother through the prevention of a scam she was unknowingly about to participate in. She came to the branch prepared withdraw a large sum of money to payout on what was in reality a scam phone call. The branch asked questions, assured her it was a scam, not to follow through with at and then alerted family members. I greatly appreciate their help. Who knows what would have happened when the cash was handed over. Well Done US Bank!

Office staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
Tellers are also friendly & helpful.  
Wait times are shorter than at a "competitor" with a similar name.
Drive-up window is open; unlike a "competitor" with a similar name.

I am a senior and have had my US Bank account for over 40 years.  Recently, my real estate broker and I needed a quick proof of funds, a transfer of funds between accounts and wiring instructions.  
My broker and I walked into the bank not realizing that we needed an appointment. Immediately, Gloria Torres took complete  care of us.  Who said that Customer Service is dead? Without Gloria and her professionalism/speed we would not have been able to continue our real estate transaction.
I hope everyone appreciates Gloria as much as I do.  She is such an asset to US Bank.  I now have someone that I can contact with all of my banking needs.

This branch used to be really good. Cynthia is the manager or the person in charge. We switched branches to avoid this woman because she does not pay attention to what she is doing, there is no way she should be in charge of anything. When we switched branches we were doing really well and now they have moved her here and now we will move again.

We had our checking, savings etc. hacked a couple weeks ago.  We immediately called fraud control and had everything blocked.  Then we went into our Chisago branch and started the process of restarting each account. Working with branch manager Brandt and assistant Jeremy, we were able to get everything up and running in the shortest possible time.  They were so patient and understanding and even though shorthanded, spent quality time with us.  Everything was explained in detail as we accomplished our task!!  we now have new checking, savings, debit cards and they are all working. Both of these gentlemen deserve promotions but please don't take them from "our" bank, as we truly need these types of people in our community.  Small town still works.

I have banked here at this building in Lake Geneva for 46 years. We have never been treated with anything but the utmost kindness and respect whether doing day-to-day banking or securing a loan. My children had their little savings accounts here when they were learning about money and they were escorted into the huge vault that they had always wanted to see. I appreciate this bank for its service, and the access to so many branches in other areas of the country.
Thanks US Bank for years of dedication to your customers!
