My sister had an account at US Bank 5250 Center Avenue, NE, Columbia Heights, MN, 55421. In October 19th, 2015, my sister and mom went to US Bank and requested their account to be completely closed. My sister and mom took all the money from their accounts and then they traveled to back home country. When they came back, my sister got a notification letter from the debt collector for $300.45 overdraft charge. We got confused, so we went to the bank again and asked them what it was. One of the workers there named Jason, we talked to him first because we requested to him to close the account. But he tried to argue with us and he said, "Im sorry I dont understand." This is my mistake. After that, I said its okay, but I requested him to solve the problem but he didn't listen to me. He forced me to pay that overdraft money. I argued with him. I told him that's your mistake to leave our account open, why we got this notice. I also told him I'm not paying one penny, just close my account and solve this problem. But he was really rude!! He told me, I have to pay it no matter what. I said no I'm not paying because you didn't close our account. But instead of apologizing, he said he would call the police on us. In the meantime, his boss came and he listed to our problem and he also told me to pay that overdraft money. I told him that his worker did a mistake and then I came home. I talked to the lady who sent me the notice and she said,"I dont want to bother you to pay the money, I'm going to send this cash to US Bank."
After that, I thought they solved our problem, but then I got another notice letter from Capital Management Service LP Debt Collector Company. After that I talked to the Capitals management staff and told them my problem. The suggested me to go back US Bank and talk to them again. I followed their directions and talked to their Manager again. He said, "Whats the letter you got? Let me copy it." He kept telling us to pay up. I said,"No, your staff did a mistake, how could I pay if you cant solve this problem?! If you can't solve this small of a problem in your office, and request them to solve it, then you shouldn't stay in a manager position!!" I know I'm not supposed to tell him that, but he wouldn't listen. He sent our cash to another debt collector company. I told him to close our account but intentionally, they still left our accout open. They tried collecting more and more money from us. I hate those types of people. I don't like that type of person who knows that they made a mistake but pretends not to know and mot realize. Very POOR service there. I would also put 0 stars for a rating because they did the same thing with me too. I had an account savings and checking. I used their credit card and I waited statement to pay, but they never sent me a statement and I went 5 weeks continued and asked the names Murdulla to let me pay but she said, "I didn't see a used credit card don't worry. When your statement comes, then you can pay." 1 1/2 months later, I still didn't get a statement and so I got worried because this was the first time I used their credit card for business purposes. After that, I went to the bank, but they already pulled money from my other account without noticing me. They made my balance $0.00 then they told me to pay intrest fees too. I got confused how could they do that eventho i had enough money to pay my bill i talked to the manager he also says he didn't listen after that i didn't like their services so right way i told him to closed my all accounts and i took all my money and switch the bank too but I still have 1joint account with my husband from this account the fraud people toke money time to time we got tired i told my husband to complainto the us bank after complain they helped us to get back small amount but they didn't help to get back big amount my husband get too busy that time with his business he didn't get chance to go to the bank 1 weeks after he went to the bank the stuff suggested change the card we following their instructions, we changed the card. I have been in Us since 2004 since 2004 i had account with US bank i never face this kind of problem. But this bank 5250 central ave ne Columbia heights mn 55432 is 2 Block of my house that's why i choose this bank since 2012 but we facing so many problems here in poor service & 2,3 staff is very very rude they creat problems and make customers feel like they shouldn't go anymore.

This is def one side of this story. I heard the whole incident. This is why online reviews are good for absolutely no one. Jason is a class act, and has a 53 inch vertical jump, sorry Goma Pun, you fail to convince me that this is the total truth.

Don't bank with US Bank! I'm very disappointed with the service of US Bank, it's always an hour or more on the phone for their mortgage department only to get contradicting answers each time. They assign a "mortgage assistant" to each customer; however, don't ever expect to talk to your "assistant." The branch offices are just as awful, especially at the location closest to where I work and live. You can't get any help over the phone because they never answer the phone. Then when you go in, they are rude and act like you are putting them out. It's a sad situation. I went in today and the associate could not see transactions past two weeks on my checking account. What? He said he would have to get his manager. I said ok but he said he would have her call me. It's now been six hours and I still haven't heard and highly suspect I will not hear from her. Ready to switch all my accounts and my family's accounts. Ugh! I've had accounts with them for more than 20 years, now they are charging me a monthly maintenance fee for doing LESS than ever. I've had more complications from Bank associates who don't know what they are doing! It's been hours and hours and hours of trying to get things straightened out. Don't trust US Bank.

This afternoon I came into office to change my bank account type. Waited for the bank associate to finish with a customer at her desk. I thought the clerk at the window couldn’t help with this. After she finished with that person I asked kindly if I could be next. She nicely waved me back and said someone would help me soon. After completing some phone calls she left her desk to speak with a clerk at the front desk. When returning to her desk she went to the next couple in line who had just came in and asked them how she could help them, ignoring me. I asked her if I needed to come back at a different time. Again she said someone would help me shortly. At that point I realized she was not a person I could trust to help me. Walking back to my vehicle I also realized the couple she helped matched her race. Hopefully this wasn’t the reason she ignored me and hopefully she won’t get promoted as a result of this incident.

have never been treated better by any banking establishment ever.. I have a home mortgage,checking,2 cd's, line of credit, and had a personal loan as well.It doesnt matter that I am in the red most of the time, I have always been treated with respect. The branch manager even took care of part of my final loan payment due to a misunderstanding on my part. I have always seen them flex and bend with any of my needs. They certainly have more to lose than I do should we part ways. I really love banking with US Bank. Even the people on the credit card side are amazing.. I dont think I have ever entered my home branch bank and not been acknowledged. Kuddos to Dan and his fabulous team from the tellers, Aubry,who is so awesome, to the loan specialists, Meagan, who is so much fun! Thank you Dan, you have no idea how grateful I am.

Was told by drive up window worker on 04/21/2023 @9:06am if a check doesn't scan there is no other way to accept it, and that a new check would need to be provided ( this was for a business so that would have been a very difficult thing to accomplish, she was very rude, basically said take your business elsewhere. Hope my company takes there business back to central bank of Eldon as we never had a problem with them.

OMGosh!!!
Totally un organized! They had months to prepare for a loan that my husband and i were co-signing on. Proir to the official signing the borrowers were told they could go to a branch to sign some other document but when the arrived the bank said they were to busy and sent the to the other branch. The day of signing all four if us sign and leave. After being a mile away we get a call to come back because Nicole forgot to have us sign something. She apologized and although I said no worries I was a bit disappointed because the roads were bad from freezing cold and snow and it was inconvenient to go back but i was not to mad. Now its been ONE Month later and US Bank/ Nicole called and said the way the papers were done said my husband was married to the borrowers husband and I was married yo the borrowers wife therefore we all need to come bavk in an re-sign!! I'm getting ready to leave on a trip along with other very important things going on over tge next week and now we have to figure out a time to go do this all over again! I asked to do it electronically this time but Nicole says it can not be done electronically, SERIOUSLY!! People sign legal documents electronically all over the world on a dsily basis but US Bank can't! OMG! HOW MAMY MISTAKES can they make! How many times do we all hzve to go back because they messed up. At this point they should be so apologetic that they shoukd comme to my house with a notary and the new papers!! REALY US BANK!!!

I went to this location to have a document notarized. I called several days before to see if both parties had to be account holders and was told one was ok. Today I arrived and was informed both parties had to be USBANK customers. I left and went to the Bonner Springs location which provided outstanding customer service with no questions asked. US Bank could be twice as profitable if they would fire the back of the house and upper management. They sold my REI card to Capital One, made it impossible to get a new CC or a mortgage and they don’t work well with Zelle or Venmo. I don’t even use my US Bank CC. I have an 800 FICO and they treat me like dirt.

US Bank could be twice as profitable if they would fire the back of the house and upper management. Avoid Mortgages with them

Kramer peters...Mortgage loan specialist replied to my inquiry on 11-15-22. Literally badgering me with phone messages. After Appling for a mortgage pre-approval, and qualifying, he never sent any letter or email stating such. Verbally he confirmed. Meanwhile I found my dream home, and had to email this guy wondering what the lack of any communication was! Wheres my preapproval letter?.meanwhile I purchased a home...US bank mortgage
association embarrassed me with my realtor...left me high and dry ..and IMHO is the WORST. FYI,FACT, 3 emails and one call to Kramer peters since has gone unanswered.
Avoid US Bank mortgage association apply with a professional, caring, and local bank.

Scam Thwarted!

I want to thank US Bank, Des Peres MO branch and especially Kate Johnston-Adams for their help in guiding my elderly mother through the prevention of a scam she was unknowingly about to participate in. She came to the branch prepared withdraw a large sum of money to payout on what was in reality a scam phone call. The branch asked questions, assured her it was a scam, not to follow through with at and then alerted family members. I greatly appreciate their help. Who knows what would have happened when the cash was handed over. Well Done US Bank!

I am a senior and have had my US Bank account for over 40 years. Recently, my real estate broker and I needed a quick proof of funds, a transfer of funds between accounts and wiring instructions.
My broker and I walked into the bank not realizing that we needed an appointment. Immediately, Gloria Torres took complete care of us. Who said that Customer Service is dead? Without Gloria and her professionalism/speed we would not have been able to continue our real estate transaction.
I hope everyone appreciates Gloria as much as I do. She is such an asset to US Bank. I now have someone that I can contact with all of my banking needs.

This branch used to be really good. Cynthia is the manager or the person in charge. We switched branches to avoid this woman because she does not pay attention to what she is doing, there is no way she should be in charge of anything. When we switched branches we were doing really well and now they have moved her here and now we will move again.

We had our checking, savings etc. hacked a couple weeks ago. We immediately called fraud control and had everything blocked. Then we went into our Chisago branch and started the process of restarting each account. Working with branch manager Brandt and assistant Jeremy, we were able to get everything up and running in the shortest possible time. They were so patient and understanding and even though shorthanded, spent quality time with us. Everything was explained in detail as we accomplished our task!! we now have new checking, savings, debit cards and they are all working. Both of these gentlemen deserve promotions but please don't take them from "our" bank, as we truly need these types of people in our community. Small town still works.

I have banked here at this building in Lake Geneva for 46 years. We have never been treated with anything but the utmost kindness and respect whether doing day-to-day banking or securing a loan. My children had their little savings accounts here when they were learning about money and they were escorted into the huge vault that they had always wanted to see. I appreciate this bank for its service, and the access to so many branches in other areas of the country.

I have approximately $60,000 in my savings account at US Bank. I had the understanding that I was signed up for overdraft protection on my checking account to automatically pull from my savings account. As it turns out, I did have the overdraft protection, but they charged me $36 every time I went negative. Over a 2 week period, I was charged $684 in fees alone. I was not notified at the time that I was overdrafting. Long story short, they would only refund me $216 of the $684 in fees. This happened at the US Bank at 749 Main Street, Pleasanton, California. The bank manager is Anthony Jones. He was NOT helpful at all. Let’s just say that I am in the process of closing all my accounts with US Bank (a total of $200,000 in savings accounts!) and moving to Union Bank.
