Just wanted to tell a little story about my experience of ten years with this bank. I work 2 jobs and my husband works ft as well.. 1 of my jobs does not pay over the summer. A medical company processed an auto payment mid July and over drafted my account. The bank chose not to deny the payment as there were not enough funds. Well that was nice of them except that I work for almost two months without receiving income. I let the bank know I knew I was over drafted from the auto payment and there was nothing I could do about it. We were living off of change. I went to deposit my check and paid the bank the auto payment and hundreds of dollars of fees. After I paid the account in good standing and gave them a 400$ deposit that Friday to pay more bills & was told they would reopen the account. Apparently they closed it after I had told them I knew I was over drafted and would pay. They called my work twice the next monday to let me know they were still going to cancel the account. They took 300$ in fees and told me they would not cover the bills (one them being my daughters school lunches) I had deposited $ for that Friday. We already had no groceries, we were living off of change & had to borrow 5$ from a teacher friend to pay admission to watch my daughter play volleyball. I hope this bank feels justified in taking 300$ from a hardworking family already struggling to survive. Quite shady to tell me they would reopen the account, take my money and not cover electricity and school lunches after they had cashed the check and told me it would be reopened. I work with students all day and getting that call at work while dealing with youngsters and having to ask questions on a workroom phone in front of my peers was completely degrading. They should have told me my account was closed and not taken my check and allowed a deposit. Disgusting.
