I refinanced with TD Bank one year ago. For some reason, they mail bills for mortgages monthly rather than sending me 12 payment slips at the beginning of the year. This year, they sent me a bill for the payment due March 1st, and I paid it, only to get a letter from them telling me I had paid the wrong amount. Well, I paid the amount on the bill. Apparently, they changed the escrow amount they wanted for the March first payment, but didn't update the bill. Fine, so I went to a branch and paid the difference. Normally, they send the bill to me 6-7 weeks before it is due. I am entering this on 3/1/2014, and I haven't received a bill for 4/1/2014 yet. Considering what happened with the previous bill, I was nervous. So I went online to pay the bill and their web site said it didn't recognize the loan number and zip code I entered, even though I was reading it off a previous bill as I typed and double and triple checked it. Okay, so now I go down to the branch to ask what is wrong, and the teller tells me she can't access any information about my mortgage other than my last payment. She told me I could call the mortgage department on Monday to get more information. As she tells me this she's sort of trying to hide the fact that she's laughing at me. Now I have to call the mortgage department on Monday and ask for their help to straighten out the second month in a row where they are making it hard for me to pay my mortgage. This is becoming a second job for me that I don't have the time for. When someone's credit is on the line, it is cruel to make it so difficult for the person to resolve issues with their account. If you want to avoid problems like this avoid TD Bank. I wish I could, but I can't get an interest rate this good if I refinance. I wish I had stayed with Beneficial Bank. I was with them 10 years for mortgages and never had a problem.

On Monday I went to the bank with my daughter so she could close out her old bank and open a new account and get a new debit card as she had broken up with her boyfriend and he had access to both. The manager refused to let her open a new account as she had less than $100 in pending transactions and would not let her get a new debit card for the same reason. RIDICULOUS! She went to the TDBank on Ark Road and they gave her a new debit card immediately.

On September 26th I cashed a check at TDBank from another TDBank Account. There was no problem until looking at my statement online. Apparently there were insufficient funds. The teller did not check for this and subsequently the funds were removed from my account and a $15 fee added. On speaking with the branch manager he was impolite and no help at all.
