Old 1993and 94 certificate of deposit from ameribanc

Since my parent's death I have found an old certificate of maturity notice for a CD from 1993 and one from 1994 with Ameribanc on it.  How can I find out if this is still being held somewhere or if it was ever cashed in?  Thank you!
