Insurance check question

I have a question, I recently received a life insurance check for my husband who passed away recently.  I need the money for expenses and really can't wait five days for my bank to put it on hold, can I come to your bank and have it cashed right away, or would it have to wait there five days also, I need the money for his expenses.  Thank-you for your help.
