When I did it, it had to be done w/ Grand Mountain Bank. The only other way Wells Fargo would do it was via "Bill Pay", which did not deliver the check that was ´mailed´, they claimed, but was never recieved by gmb or the post office, so had to do it through gmb instead. I was very unhappy w/ wf, & would love to change banks, but w/ all the challenges/problems associated w/ them, do not have enough money or energy to manage to pay my bills while managing the multiple transactions that “can take a month or two” to be set up.
Wells Fargo claimed no responsibility once it "was in the mail", but neither gmb or the Post office ever saw it. I do not trust Wells Fargo, as a result, & yes, it did have an effect upon my credit score, THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN. It has taken several years to get my score over 700 again. I have no comprehension why they make it so hard to manage accounts online.
They even refused to ‘verify’ me, although I’d been a customer since 2002, when we only had a landline, no cell phone & I had not changed my PW during in their time when my PC was down. They told me “I needed a cell phone to verify who I was.”
I have my other bills pd electronically, but it always has to be set up through the creditors.
