Certificate of Deposit

I have just recently found out I had Certificate of Deposit from my deceased Grandmother. She left all of her grand children a CD from 1984 in First Mutual Bank. Since then the bank has changed hands and now Washington Mutual. My question is where would it go and how do I get a hold of the right people to get this resolved?
