Swift code is a Business Identifier Code (BIC). It is a unique identification code for business, mostly financial institutions. Some financial institutions have more than one Swift Codes for different purposes. These codes are used when transferring money between banks, particularly for international wire transfers, and also for the exchange of other messages between banks.
