Recommended this bank for 5.25 APR 6 month CD.  Walked in with $xxk… agent at desk counted in front of me and wrote me a deposit slip for same amount.. she then took $$$ behind counter for 15 min only to return and tell me I was $1k short.  I remarked that you counted it in front of me and she said “sorry I must’ve missed counted.” I did my own auditing at home, trusting that she was correct, but wasn’t the case.  I talked to others in authority (police and lawyer)  who said I should’ve never left the bank without my money but instead, I went back to take it out, and they said I had a pre-withdrawal penalty!!!!!! The manager, waved the amount and gave me my money back after two more trips to the bank. That is pretty unprofessional that a banker miscounts your $$$$.  I stressed over this and lost a week of sleep… I can’t speak for others but I am widowed and retired and I can’t afford to lose any funds needed to survive. I would have only made $325+ dollars on the CD and LOST $1,000!!
