DO NOT use this bank! We have used the Westford branch sparingly over the years just for convenience and I can say any time I needed anything done there was a problem. Their staff is ill-trained, their cashiers wear tiny tank tops to work (at a bank? are you kidding me?) and like the previous review before said, they do charge you for inactive accounts. I had opened up 3 passbook accounts for my kids years ago thinking it would be fun for them to see their money grow. HA! The balance actually got lower due to all the fees from this bank. And we are taking my poor kids only has a few hundred dollars in these accounts to start with. What a fiasco!
Today I went to try and close these accounts and the manager tells me (they run through managers like Kleenex over there)that because I can't find the pass books the kids have to come in and sign an affidavit to close the accounts! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? My 6 year old has to sign an affidavit?? Who runs this bank?
Warning to the wise - DO NOT GO NEAR Northern Bank and Trust - unless you want to experience total aggravation and mismanagement of your funds.
