I can tell you the people at Merchant bank (starting from the top) are extremley arrogant. I am in the finance business and had a problem with this bank. I tried to call for assistance and all the women who I worked with were EXTREMLEY snotty & unprofessional including even one of their vice presidents Carey Brank. The bank president at the red wing branch was professional but I can honestly tell you. GO TO ANOTHER BANK. If problems arise you can bet you will be treated like garbage from this bank.

Seriously...NO!! Merchants Bank in Red Wing is amazing-SO friendly, and they even know their customers by name...I have banked at this location for MANY years, and they are one of the BEST in Red Wing!

I've been dealing with merchants for years. They are most accoomodating and would advise anyone to bank there. Great staff who will do anything for you.

They don't like to get to know you or help you out when times are getting hard, like with the gas prices on the rise, I went in for a loan that they said was available to me. Well guess what, no longer available. Certain government checks not able to cash, because of "new fakes" and because I'm only 21, the check(s) must be FAKE. Sure they are cheery when you walk in the door, but if you bring them a check that they don't want to cash because it might be Fake, they tell you that you need "this" or you need "that", and when you bring them those things, they still you that they can't cash them or even deposit them. If I didn't have these stupid checks I bought from them, I would close my account in an instant and go someplace else that has better customer service. I've been in two other banks that have had wayyy better customer service but really crappy hours of operation. If you are looking at this bank, turn around and run away quickly, they will suck you in with fancy words and promises and then turn around and screw you over.
