My husband and I have been with this bank for at least 15 years. We had a savings account there. We drove up today to take some money out and the rude drive thru woman told us our account had been closed. Well we had a deposit that was suppose to have gone in on the previous Friday. (Close to $500 dollars) We asked her what happened with the money, if the account was closed and she said in a rude tone,"You will have to call the main office." And we were puzzled as to what happened. And asked her to call them and she did and told us we had a negative balance because and the end of the year, they have all these charges ... maintenence fees, with drawl fees ect. And we asked what happened to the direct deposit that came that previous Friday. She said it was sent back. I asked her for the number to the main office so I could call and she blurted it out over the mic. Then told us to move and motioned for us to move out of the drive thru. It's like she tried to hummilate me over a mic at the drive thru. I again ask her couldn't she please write the number down so I could call. I called main office and it was explained better to me what happened. BUT, I am very upset that I was not given a courtesy letter or anything letting me know my account was overdrawn due to the fees the bank charges at the end of the year. MY personal booklet and the last reciept given to me still showed a balance to this account. And get this, it was only short by a couple of dollars and they closed my account without any contact with me at all.
The woman that is always at the drive thru is hateful! I have been there many times and she never smiles or even speaks to me unless she has to ask a question. Very Rude. I have seen her be somewhat nice to other people (men) that come to the drive thru. But never has she been nice to me. I don't even know this woman. There are ways to say things to people without being hateful.I will leave this account closed and I will tell everybody NOT to bank there,

The bank refused to turn over our money, the proceeds of the CD my mother left on deposit prior to her death. We presented the information to the bank, and the VP of the Petal, MS branch refused to help and asked us (my 3 brothers and sister) to leave. The branch was ordered by the owner not to give us our money and was very discourteous.
