We are a new customer here in California (El Dorado Hills). We own a large property management company and recently opened both a business and personal account. For a week we have been trying to get into bill pay to enter our creditors so we can pay our bills. They kept making it out that it was US! This has been going on for a week costing us $1000's of dollars in missed appointments/business, dozens of missed calls from being lead on a wild goose chase! We had driven to the branch now twice and it was finally confirmed because the branch manager (Trista) even tried from the bank computer and confirmed that all new accounts are having this issue with no idea when it was going to be fixed. I was promised a call from their IT department yesterday. I cancelled all my appointments, waited all day and NOTHING! Called today again and got someone from INDIA on the line who basically said I would have to call all our creditors which is 100's between the business and personal and make payments directly until the issue is resolved. This would take WEEKS! Are you kidding me!?
THEN, we deposited a $17K check which we were told would clear in 72 hours by the teller which was fine as we understand this is a new account. Well it didn't clear so I called the gal who helped us open the account and she told me it was scheduled to clear 3 days ago. Still nothing! SOO, my husband goes down to the branch AGAIN and we are given a 1-800 number for "US" to call to have funds released! Why is this our job and why would they release funds at the request of the customers. This is THEIR job to call the bank it was written off of and mind you this check was from a multi-million dollar car dealership which I am pretty sure has $17K! My son-in-law is the finance assistant manager and they bank with another major bank!
Called this bank (Tri-Counties) who confirmed they are having serious issues just like this with Chase so don't deposit checks here - you will never get access to your funds after being flat out lied to!
So, I get Chase release department on the line and also patch Tri-Counties in on the call, nothing they can do and Tri-Counties bank said it's Chase's responsibility, NOT mine so here we sit! During this 3 way call with the Chase release department and Tri-Counties the rep from Chase hangs up!
OK, I call the 1-800 number like this branch manager put it on us to do who asks for a debit card number which we will not have for another 10 days so no help and this manager should have known this! I call the branch to see if THEY have the debit card number and Mona said "yes they do" but they can't release it over the phone so how in the H was this any help.
THEN, I call 5 other Chase branches (mind you it's during business hours still) not one would pick up!
So here we sit! It's been a week! Can't enter our creditors to pay bills, they are sitting on $17K for a week and putting it on us to call to get it to clear.
End of story do NOT bank with these people! I am going to have to drive down to the branch for the 3rd time (more lost business, more wasted time) so I can at LEAST get them to do their job and verify this check is good, release funds so I can get my taxes paid!
Worst bank EVER and I don't have the time to switch again. I am giving this one more shot tomorrow but if this is not fixed, I WILL be filing a formal complaint with DFPI!

Branch does not follow NY state banking law section 333 in regard to accessing safe deposit boxes with valid a POA that specifically states it allows the agent to access safe deposit boxes. The box owner is a 91 yo long-time client that has had to relocate out of area for surgery and long-term care for wounds and dementia and cannot travel into the branch.
The Pearl River branch was presented all needed ID, original POA, and the key 8/25. Since 6/29 the POA was presented in-person to another Chase branch in our home state and in-branch forms were filled out and notarized to allow agent access to accounts. The agent has had access to transaction accounts on the Chase account since late June. On 8/25 access to the safe deposit box was denied at the Pearl River brand despite all this and told remotely drilling the box was not possible and the agent needs to fly across the country again to close the box.
Branch manager, Kanchan Kapur, has a negative attitude, lacks flexibility, customer service skills, and empathy regarding this situation. Her second resolution is to just call a 800 number and make a complaint. DO NOT BANK HERE! Move your money to a local credit union that cares about their customers.

Went to the bank at 64th and Commercial in Tamarac Florida. There was one bank teller and the security guard. I was very disappointed at the service and the way I was treated. I deposited my paycheck, checked my account for the balance and found out the TELLER NEVER DEPOSITED MY CHECK! This has been a nightmare!The manager reviewed the tape from that day and saw me there with the teller. They haven't reached out to me, nor gave me any further assistance. I can't even pay my car note! This is unacceptable and I thought they were a good bank. I never had any problems until I went to this branch. I will never go to this branch again just to be disrespected based on the color of my skin!!!! They have all the check information, but won't say what happened to my check! I have to now tell the payroll department at my place of employment to issue me a new check. This is very UNPROFESSIONAL of the bank manager as well as the teller. And to think, both of them are still working there!!! DESPICABLE!!!

Who is the manager of this Chase branch...and why is he ALWAYS out to lunch when customers need to summon him? I was at this bank yesterday for well over an hour, waiting for the sole bank employee who could notarize a document! Outrageous waits! Even long lines to simply make a deposit! Everybody seems to go to lunch at the same time; along with the branch manager?

At 9:45 am I went into the bank. I could see approximately 8-10 employees and NO customers.
Some employees were talking to one another, some were on computers and it was inherently apparent that they were not busy.
I asked if they could please notarize a single page letter.
I was told that I would need to make an appointment and the earliest appointment would be 11:00am.
I left went to Peoples Bank, walked in got it notarized and walked out in less time than it took for the Chase employees to give me the appointment story and schedule.

The ATM NEVER works when I need quick cash. I specifically go there to avoid service charges. A month ago it would not disburse cash so had to use another bank. Chase was rude both the 800# and the branch when I tried to have the fees refunded to my account. They would not refund, they were rude and they never returned my call as promised. Last night the ATM keyboard did not work so again could not get my money. Simply horrible. It’s 2022 and I should be able to get my money when I need.

I've been a long time customer of Chase. Today when inquiring about a bank draft, I was told they were "too busy" to help me and told me to go to another Chase branch. Unbelievable. I did go to another branch and told them of my experience at Lemmon Avenue branch. He must be a "higher up" as he made note of it and said that would not be happening again.

Very poor customer experience. Couldn’t get a check cashed from the Title company because it was locked in the Chase protection program. The branch manager David was useless. Did nothing to offer assistance and no follow through. He should be fired! My family is all Chase customers. Terrible bank service. I’d give zero stars if an option.

I have been a customer there for about 8 years. NO customer loyalty. Put in a very large check, it clears the next day and I try to make airline reservations, nope. Call Chase to raise debit card limit, nope. Why not? Just because, no real answer except they want to make sure the check has "really" cleared. But all the money is available to withdraw, just not on the ATM card. I talk to the manager who tells me to call the number again, apparently he can't call himself for me and he can't figure it out either. I call again, same answer, "try again tomorrow". But the money IS available right? "right", So why can't I use my ATM card now? "it's just the system", what system? "the computer system", you can't make any decisions yourselves? "no".
And there you go....switching to HomeStreet bank, MUCH better service.

I have been a customer of Chase Bank for over 30 years. I had blocked my account due to theft of funds. The State of Florida Attorney Generals Office General and the FBI are pursuing criminal actions. In order to unblock the account the banker Patrick closed my 30 year account and gave me a new user name and password. I am buying a condo in Delray Beach, but when I try to go into the account it is NOT recognized!

I've been going to this location for a couple years and for some reason the lack of customer service skills still surprise me. I do love their ATM's and their app but it would be nice to be treated decently. I will try other locations from now on.

Some of the same staff members have been consistently unwelcoming, condescending, rude, and just not polite at all. I've been going to this location for a couple years and for some reason the lack of customer service skills still surprise me. the bank guy behind sitting in the cubicle was useless. Told me he could not help me because he was not licensed and no one on a Saturday could help me. Gave me 800 392 5749 and I got a wonderful woman who walked me through transferring money from checking to investment. I believe his name was Allan at the King and Allan road bank on January 6. He needs training.
Manager didn't even know what the routing number was?

Every time I go there I swear I will not go back . A simple cash deposit a small one shouldn't take 20 mins . They only have 1 girl there every morning not sure how long today was already 10:00am still only her , to take care of all outside and inside . The first time it happened I thought some one is out today so no worries . But then every time I went it took 15-20 mins this is early morning. So today I had 3 cash deposits I was there 20 ins .finally a guy in a suit walked up to the window and said sorry about your wait few people a head of you ??? When I got there was only 1 other person there so no there was not a few a head of me ?? I told him they need to get her some help that every time I come there its like this , Its not the girls fault even thought she wasn't taking us in order ... but the bank should hire more help !!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!!!!
I have to say I had one of the worst customer service experience ever at this branch. I went in to open three new accounts, and requested they honor their current promotion for a $200 and $300 reward for opening a checking and savings account. I was then informed that you have to bring the coupon with you....even though this promotion is blasted all over the internet and is sent to "resident" at addresses all over the area ..... I said I would pull it up electronically and was told they didn't have WIFI... with that I gathered up the checks I was going to deposit (a tidy sum)...and started to leave.. and said I guess I wouldn't be opening the accounts...with that the man at the desk smugly replied - OK then...Have a good day. Guess they really don't want new accounts although their promo is strongly suggestive that they need to raise capital.... I will really have to think twice about even going to a different location if this is the way Chase treats their customers and prospective customers. Wish I had read the other reviews about their lousy attitude before I wasted my time going in there.

Having been a good customer at this location of Chase bank - even when it was before other banks: Home Savings, Washington Mutual, etc. for over 30 years, a dreadful experience has suddenly expulsed me, a good customer --
This occurred when a 'financial adviser' at Westwood branch intervened - when was opening up a big savings account and not all conditions were honestly disclosed. The teller was either uninformed or "forgot" to mention all conditions to the new acct, & she insisted on excessive & unneeded personal information -
So when customer became upset and described what was happening wrong, the male "V.P." suddenly came to teller's protection --and proceeded to humiliate this customer by playing -mind-word-games. When the teller problems and his response were described back to him, he said 3x "you do not ever have to come to this branch again !" .
His dominant, assumed authoritative behavior was totally offensive and inappropriate, as no bad,offensive words or curse words were ever stated by customer.
This V.P. man continued to 'play' games when his ejecting-customer statement was questioningly repeated back to him, so he then continued humiliating by saying "do you want me to put it in writing ?" and customer said "yes" assuming he meant that, so then he said "and put my signature on it ?" and customer again agreed "yes" - only to find he was making fun/ having a joke on back of customer, humiliating more and worse.
This totally offensive and rude behavior on part of any bank employees at this branch was totally uncalled for and inappropriate, especially to the actual situation that occurred, from customer telling teller what was wrong == the essential non-disclosure, & pressure for unnecessary personal information demanded.
The rejecting, ejecting, sending away of a long-time-good-customer was extraordinarily Poor Business Practice and even unethical.
The Westwood Chamber of Commerce has been informed -- as was the central Chase bank executive offices in Texas, and local branch manager [who had always been very courteous and attentive]. That such bad behavior could occur and be allowed [or may be unknown to management ? ] needs to be exposed so other customers do not experience anything like this ever.
The only preventive to bad behavior of any business is to expose wrong doings and hold any company and brand accountable to being responsible and respectful. This offensive, insulting event did happen now - at Chase bank on Westwood Blvd.

Does anyone know who to call and the phone number at Chase Bank to make a complaint? I would like to give a commendation to Samar at the Chase Bank branch near Stew Leonard's in Danbury. I opened up an account in March to have for 6 months just to use the coupon, and Samar was very diligent in making sure that it would be closed on the right date in September so that I wouldn't lose the bonus. It took her a day to get a straight answer from headquarters, so she called me the next day when she got a definitive answer.
I would NOT use the Chase branch on Newtown Road in Danbury The woman we tried to open the account with acted as if she didn't want to help me since I was opening the account for the bonus, and then came up with an excuse why she couldn't open the account (although the Chase branch near Stew Leonard's had opened an account under the same circumstances the previous year). I wa ready to take my deposit and give it to her manager for her to use for psychiatric counseling!

I came in and talked with CSR, Alex. I have been a customer for years. Before I divorced I had joint account. So over 20 years. I told Alkex I wasn't satisfied with paying 12.00 fee every month. He said well you have money coming in the 15th of every month that qualifies as a direct deposit? However, the way its set up you have to call every month to get the 12.00 taken off.NP, he took 4 fees from prior months off. I called to have the fee taken off over 1 800 number. They said we will only do line fee because Alex didnt type in notes to do this. I went back to branch. Alex then decides he won't do it. I was so upset. I told him so you lied to me. He could have cared less. I left, but am know looking for another bank. They obviously don't care about retaining old time customers. Then I came thru the drive thru a couple weeks ago and waited 34 minutes. Not acceptable .

Received an erroneous account number from Suntrust bank manager and went to use that to pay Chase - which I eventually straightened out and did. Chase bank turned an account I had started for my daughter, to save for retirement, over to the state for inactivity. They did send me a notice that they were going to do that, and after I called customer service, they corrected the error. BUT, then they took the money 30 days after they sent me a notice saying everything was fine.
When escalating this further up the chain of command, they just kept making more and more excuses. When I proved they were wrong, they would just make up a new excuse. Never once did they offer to help get my daughters money back from the State. The branch manager at the Murray Branch did not help either. He escalated this to the next level and then would not return my calls.
When doing research on Oregon Laws, I believe they violated them. I am reporting them to the State of Oregon.
