Sandra Escobar is a horrible branch manager and should not be working in any type of customer service role at all. She is unfriendly, stuck up, and is not a leader for the employees under her. My husband and I went into her branch and requested that a document be notarized. She told us that she was not a notary public and that we would have to wait for a personal banker who was a notary.  After 20 minutes the personal banker then had to go up to the branch manager and tell her that there were two people waiting and that she (the branch manager) needed to help us. We were there first and she took the other gentleman before us. She has no clue what good customer service is and is not a good role model for her employees. She needs to realize that the customers pay her salary and her service she provides is flat out unacceptable.

Chase helped someone con me out of $4,100 by telling me checks were in my account after 24-48 hours.  After being skeptical about a business transaction I met with a personal banker and she told me this information.  I was asking about legitimacy of the checks and how I would know for sure and she told me 24-48 hours.  Two weeks - three weeks later I was out $4,100 and Chase put me on Chexsystems and ruined my credit.

I recently went to chase bank at new haven indiana.  Recently the CEO of chase bank got a 1500 % increase in his salary from 1.2 million dollars to 21 million dollars of income for 2011.  I went to cash in a jar of change only to be told that the change counter no longer works and that it was too expensive to fix.  I could leave my change and they would send it to another branch to have it counted but it would take several days.  J P Morgan Chase needs to decide if they want to be a REAL bank ....one that has services for the customers OR just give their profits to an overpaid CEO.......Patty Davis

Before Chase took over Wamu, it was a great bank:  inviting atmosphere, friendly tellers, no outrageous charges, etc.  As soon as Chase took Wamu over, the changes by this malignant giant began!  The friendly separate stands where the tellers worked from were replaced by the traditional windows behind glass.  It was obvious that the tellers felt the pressure from Chase to conform to the new ways.  But, hey, a job's a job, right?  In 2010 Chase's bill pay service was down for TWO DAYS!  That means you could not pay a bill for two days!  Their ATM machines are frequently out for hours or a day at a time in either Manteca location.  In April, they converted my Wamu no-maintenance charge business account to $15/month, and I understand they will do the same with personal accounts next month.  I sometimes get checks from Europe from very large company.  One for about $1200 was put on hold for two weeks until I called the office of the Chase president!  When my son closed his accounts today, they wanted to charge him $8 for a cashier's check for his balance, which was in the thousands. He took the cash!

What a horrible teller staff, with the exception of maybe two tellers.  They are like dealing with Peggy on the TV commercial about air miles. I made a many thousand dollar deposit without incident...then tried to cash a 35 cent check.  That is right...35 cents.  The teller then asked me for my identification.  I told her "I just made a $30000.00 plus deposit and you didn't care who I was, I gave you my social security number and account number and a deposit slip from my check book, and now you want me to show you my ID to cash a lousy 35 cent check?"  She responded:  "It's policy!"

The conversation that ensued, only proved to me that the tellers are trained by idiots even more stupid than they.
It can only be their training, because that many people with such poor and callous customer service skills could not possibly exist in the labor pool.

Now the professional, desk-oriented banking staff on the other side of the glass is pleasant, knowledgeable, and always has that "can do" spirit that suckered me into opening several accounts at this branch.  Obviously, different training systems opposing each other.

Unfortunately, the low regard in which the tellers treat their depositors is causing me to transition to another bank.   Read that as closing my accounts, Chase!

It is sad that once the large banks have your deposits, they don't care a rat's butt about you because you probably are not paying horrific fees for overdraft protection or racking up huge bank fees for ATM usage or their other services that used to be free. They are no longer "just happy" to be using your money for all of their other activities.  It's American banking at its' finest!

CHASE assist. manager Whitney Desir called a police on me
March 19, 2011
To whom it may concern:
I felt helpless and humiliated by my bank "Chase" at 6529 Nova Dr, Davie, FL 33317
(954) 370-3463, assist. manager Whitney Desir called a police on me.
If at any point it seems like I’m embellishing or exaggerating, I request you watch the surveillance video and see how Whitney Desir escalated this situation from nothing.
Today is Saturday 3/19/2011.  I went to make a cashiers check at this branch close to my business, I was asked for a password for my account which I did not remember because no one ever asked me that before,  so I offered her all my ID's, debit cards, check book and pin number for that account and anything else that she needed, but the teller refused to make a cashiers check for me because I did not have a password, the teller called the manager who came and said that there is nothing she can do for me. At this time my husband suggested to use his business account to make a cashiers check so we can save time, while the teller was analyzing the check I made a comment to my husband (private conversation)”I find it stupid that If I'm physically at my bank why  can’t they just let me cash a check and than make a cashiers check”
at this point the teller jumps in my conversation and says “ we are just trying to protect you“, I told her I understand but since I’m here there has to be a way to resolve this issue and that I find it dumb to have to go thru this hassle to access my money, she tells me since I have no respect for her, she will not attend to my transaction and we have to go to another teller. We asked the Whitney Desir assist. Manager to put us with another teller who can continue the transaction, the original teller takes the manager in the back room and I'm not sure what the conversation was the manager comes back goes on the computer, in the mean time I begin to have another conversation with my husband  asking him how far do we have to go to deliver this cashiers check (again please note a private conversation) he tells me Opa locka, Miami and I responded "Oh no we have to deal with even worse there " (my exact words”  this time the manager jumps in my conversation and tells me that she will not make a cashiers check because I'm disrespecting her and her employees,  by this time I’m totally annoyed but since I’m in a time crunch I stayed cool,
I reminded her that this is a private conversation with my husband and its not her business to jump in every time I’m trying to communicate, she said that I'm not allow to have such conversations, dumb founded, I asked her again why does she think that she can dictate what conversation I can or cannot have with my husband, now she gives my paper work back and tells me that she has the authority to make the decision not to service my business and I should go to another branch, when this happened another customer an older lady  came up to me and said this is a norm at this branch and this branch has very bad customer service and attitudes and she is used to it at this branch and have no choice, I felt bad for that lady and myself for feeling helpless so I asked the manager to close my account immediately,  she told me "No" go to another branch or she will call the police, I was loosing time because I had to deliver the cashiers check to a business that was closing in 20 minutes I had no time and ability to locate another branch.
Well, the police came told me it was a civil matter, he told me outside he felt bad for me and gave me number to contact if I decided to pursue this. I was completely humiliated and needless to say lost the purchase I was making with that cashiers check.

I think, employees actions is a reflection of the immediate supervisor. An employee will act as they are trained and mimic from what they have seen from their supervisor.
I feel sorry for that old lady who told me that this is a norm for this branch and get use to it, I know changing banks is time consuming, especially for old people and business owners like me who put all there trust into one bank,  I’ll have to learn from this.

I’m just a drop in the bucket, check the list of  unhappy Chase customers on the web.

I have had very negative 2 times experience with STUFF of  CHASE Bank's branch Wilshre / S plymonth

first time
I wanna open bank account on this place after I got social security number. My husband and me have had important document for open bank account but some asian girl seem like head stuff said no because my new temporary ID can not used with old ID...even I shown my passport, Married license , phone bill etc.
Anyway they can not allow open my account ,wasted my time.
OKey...I went to another branch on hollywood st./ N vermont with the same document and open my account over there...they very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed.

second time
03-7-2011
I went to deposit money with the ATM. I put money 200$ but technical problems and I got slip to contact service number. I had to check in the bank coz I thought easier for me, just want to check that 200$ get in to my account completed or not.

But stuff said can not check. Because of my temporary ID is unavailable... HELLO!!!  (Even I shown my old ID card with new temporary ID) They need Passport or any document...I recently married that why I change my lastname and get new ID.  From now on I need to carry passport and married license all time...YES or NO?

I totally understand the security of the bank. But that made me upset because In addition, She does not try to help the best but finished conversation immediately and dismissed from the desk. By saying that "Did you finish yet? Because I have new customers who take care of" very RUDE service. I just came in this country just one year, my English is not good. Stuff said no to talk with my husband on the phone. That is a problem because I don't know if people do not understand English came to this bank...Who will help them??

Then my husband told me from cell phone, we should CLOSE ACCOUNT from Chase bank and I agree with him. The most funniest I ever had...
    1. You can't check account by temporary ID but you can Close account and withdraw all of money by temporary ID.
    2. Staff behind the counter charge who shown She is supervisor (her name Marilyn) can speak with my husband from cell phone after I wanna Close account

I feel like some people in this bank try to RACIAL DISCRIMINATION and FOREIGN LANGUAGE, Unequal service in CHASE Bank will damage to the organization in the long run.

This situation made me recognize that banking in the third world like my countries better than big banks like Chase in the United States.

No Waiting Ever! May be no-one go there!?

I had been a chase customer for many years. I live in Worthington Ohio, but i also have an apt. in the east-gate area due to my new job. Today I didn't have my checkbook with me. So went to this branch, explained my situation, gave all my information, and asked for a convenience check. Manager gale refused to give me one and was lecturing and talking at me while I tired to ask why. The ruder she was the more more persistent I was though I apologized for not having my checkbook handy. gale sighed insultingly and shook her head at me and continued to do so as she was walking towards the teller. To my appall, the teller female and gale together continued to ridicule me as i heard them saying "she" "she" many times while the teller glared at me. As gale was approaching me with the check she continued to lecture me. When I asked for her name and the branch ID, she stopped and said that she was sorry if she was rude.I talked to my branch manager in Worth. and he apologized.

I recvied a text saying that my account is overdrawn by
$ -9,998,774.53 and my balance is below your limit. I was at the store trying to buy food for my dogs and puppies, and had to put everything back. I called and they said that because I had a wire transfer put in my account that it put up a Red Flag, in the memo of the wire transfer it said it was for the sale of a puppy.. I told them you should never send someone a text saying they are overdrawn by that much it can give someone a heart attack, they said you didn't have one,and that it got me to come in and then because of what they did my car payment was returned....... So now it looks like I have overdrawn my account.  JP Morgan Chase Bank needs to be looked in to they over charge for everything and then they lock your money up in your account and tell you that they can't fix it right away.. I'm saving the text and sending it over to ATTORNEY GENERAL LISA MADIGAN. They said that it would take 24-48 for them to put my account back to good standings, so I had no money to buy my dogs and puppies there food.. I will not put my money in that bank no more, I had to ask my mother for money so my dogs could eat.. Still waiting for them to take the hold off my card, use caution when opening any account with CHASE..

Service not good. Attitude poor. I went in with my 6 year old, I was depositing money and my son needed to use the bathroom. And when a 6 year needs to go its now. In the past this has not been a problem. Today and now they flat refused. How a banking woman could look my son in the eye and say sorry no! has no soul just like Chase. My wife and I make good money and all 5 accounts will be closed this week. We will move all our accounts to our credit union.

I was kind of shocked at the ambience of this bank, a long line formed with one teller and another woman taking a long time doing something else.

I felt this is not the sort of place to trust my money as the teller was wearing a knit sports shirt, a thrift store type ill fitting sports jacket buttoned over his stomach, and he had one of those Hog Razor Back type hairdos where the hair is combed up to the center.  The overall impression was slovenly.  He also WINKED at me.  I find a stranger winking at a middle aged person very odd.

In any event, I don't feel comfortable at this bank for the above reasons.  A banker needs to be dressed fairly conservatively and comport his or her self in a seemly way.

The service at this branch sucks. We have had the same bankfor over 10 years but it is out of state. We opened a checking account at this bank so it would be easier to get a certified check for our down payment. We had this account for about 7 months when i deposited 3 checks in 1 week. Two of the checks were 3rd party checks, they were out of state checks, went through just fine. I wrote a check out of my out of state account and they put a hold on it for 2 weeks. When i took a copy of my bank statement in showing that it had cleared my account 2 days after i deposited in the chase account, they said there was nothing they could do. I told them i would be closing out my account after their on my check was over, they said ok. I asked to speak to the manager but she was too busy. The day after the hold was over i went in and closed the account. They didn't really have anything to say other then that is their policy, holding peoples money for as long as they want. I see that customer service is not their best trait. I am glad that our morgage is with someone else.
