Imagine trying to contact customer service during the posted extended hours and you get nothing but "leave a message." You can't access your statement online (again)because the system is not accepting your password (again), which is the identical one that worked before after customer service gave up helping with "I don't know" responses when the customer was requesting help while trying to set up the account online. Requesting that the password be resent, you are notified online that it has been sent to your email on file and if you don't get your new password in five minutes, to call customer service who neither answers the phone, nor returns calls. Not worth the hassle-too many other banks who actually have online banking or customer services lines 24/7.

I have my mortgage through Gulf Coast. My experience with them is terrifying! I started paying extra money towards my escrow account when we did the permanent financing from a construction loan. Put down all most $ 3,500.00 as a deposit towards that account & already bought Hazardous insurance & Flood insurance @ the time of permanent financing out of my pocket. Gulf Coast was supposed to pay out of my escrow account when it was time to renew the policy. They paid my property taxes & flood insurance but refuse to pay my hazardous insurance (for 2011) & put force placed hazardous insurance on the property. The price was twice as much what I was paying. This year when it was time to pay flood insurance to renew the policy Gulf Coast once again refuse to do that. All of a sudden this June they ceased to force place hazardous insurance saying they do not do that for homes that are less than $450,000. Now I am with out any insurance what so ever for that property which is my primary residence. Living with so much fear & suffering not knowing what would happen to us if something would have happened to the house. I have been fighting with them for months to correct their blunders & finall they admitted of their wrong doing. The response has been so slow & as of now no measures are taken to correct the problem.
To add insult to injury, they have put force placed insurance on 2 other properties I have pledged as collateral to my primary residence. On both of these properties I had insurance. For what ever reason they decided I need extra $ 10,000 flood insurance on one property which already had a $ 100,000 coverage. The other property had a $125,000 hazardous insurance on it but Gulf Coast purchased $404,000 coverage for a less than a 1200 square foot house which to me is unethical & criminal.
The bank is telling me they would reverse the charges for those 2 properties but it has been months since the last correspondence & not only I have not seen a single penny credited to my account but also not a single attempt to communicate me to resolve anything.
Therefore my advise for any one is DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK!!! Recently I found from an insider of the bank so many people were fired over negligence & inefficiency and his words to me was "the right hand doesn't now what the left is doing."
