The people working at this bank branch seem quite amateurish, and I believe they need further training, not only in business details but also in their approach to work. I am hesitant to refer to them as bankers because, in my opinion, the staff at Flagstar Bank, 75-44 Main St., NY 11367, can be characterized as arbitrary, arrogant, self-righteous, and unprofessional. Please, employees of this branch, take your work seriously, treat your customers with dignity (even potential ones), and elevate your professional standards. The business terms listed on your official website are clear, concise, and readily comprehensible; why then do you misinterpret them and fail to implement them accordingly? Despite highlighting your error in person, you continue to flaunt your ignorance. However, for the same transaction on the same day, your colleagues at the Flagstar Bank Fresh Meadow branch adhered strictly to the official business terms and completed it perfectly. Unfortunately, Flagstar Bank, I was unaware that your business standards were as variable as the weather. In any case, I feel those at 75-44 Main St. might not be deserving of their monthly salary checks due to what I perceive as incompetence and a lackadaisical attitude towards their work. Be aware, other banks in Kew Garden Hills are taking note of your performance.
Ultimately, I want to emphasize that this review is based on a true event specific to my experience. In the end, my transaction was successfully completed at the Flagstar Bank 188 Street Fresh Meadow Branch. The whole process was smooth, and the service experience was very satisfactory. Observing the branch manager, supervisor, and banker, it was apparent they all demonstrated exceptionally high business acumen. As a professional, I have great admiration for and commend their professionalism. It is surprising that these two groups of employees work for the same bank. In conclusion, it is not Flagstar Bank in its entirety that is unreliable, but the employees at the Kew Gardens Hills branch that cause frustration. I personally suggest avoiding the Flagstar Bank Kew Gardens Hills Branch and strongly recommend visiting the Flagstar Bank 188 Street Fresh Meadow Branch for your banking needs.

I love this banking center! They are so proffesional. They know me by name which is the way a bank should be. The customer service is always spot on! I've been banking there for years and will never look to go anywhere else!

I've been trying to get my account info and I haven't received any emails from the bank, so I'm not impressed with the bank

We had a homeowners insurance claim. The money had to be processed through Flagstar, our mortgage lender. They sat on the money for better than 2 months, not answering phone calls or emails.
The only thing the worked was filing a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In eight days, they had sent us the check.
Try it.
Ps. They blamed it on a new employe, but they sure seemed to get it together once the complaint was filed.

I left my bank for Flagstar a few years ago. This location was closer to my home and work so I switched banks. I was impressed with their excellent customer service and short wait for service. Everyone that worked there always seemed to like it there and greeted me with a smile. I felt welcome. Well now everything has changed. I walk in and almost never greeted. A hello every now and then would still be nice. Everyone there looks like they would rather be somewhere else. The staff that I used to know by name are all gone now. My usual wait is now at about 15 to 20 minutes. I went in to cash a simple check and the teller acted like I was bothering her. No eye contact or conversation at all. She just gave me my money and said "here you go." Well here I go looking for another bank again with better service and a little more common courtesy. I called last week to speak with the manager about a problem I had with my checking account. Its been six days and I have not gotten a call back yet. When I went in today she wasn't available to talk to me (figures). So they took my name and number and said she'd give me call. Yeah right! I'm not holding my breath. I wonder where the old staff went that used to work there. I hope they moved on to a better work environment. If they moved to another bank in the area I go there in a minute. Sorry Flagstar you shouldn't let the kids run the candy store. I should be closing my accounts very soon.

Worst Bank Ever! Don't get a mortgage through them, they will destroy you like they destroyed me. In 5 months, while they are working on a modification, they sent the foreclosure to the credit agencies and put my life in a tail spin. Never, ever deal with these people!!!!!
