I recently stopped in to the First Merchants Bank, Crown Point Branch to obtain answers to a couple of questions. When I arrived no customers were in the branch. All of the general office area was empty (employees and customers) with the exception of one employee who was seated in a cubicle office on the far back on the right hand (street) side of the open office area. I approached and asked if she had a few minutes to answer a couple of questions. Her answer - "not really. I am very busy. Perhaps some other time". End of story. Excuse me - who is the customer and who is the employee who is at that desk to assist said customers? No customers in the branch. No other employees to talk to. Employee not on telephone. Sorry. Time to move on and find a different bank. Obviously, this isn't Citizens Financial anymore.
