Branch manager, Jessica, assisted my friend, who is elderly, with an attitude of disdain, and was very condescending. I have NEVER encountered a situation of this type...I have been very fortunate in finding banks who were very friendly, and always helpful.No matter whether my account balance was .50, or $500,000.00. When I was searching for banks, I considered this one, but seeing the rude treatment by the branch manager, no thank you. When I have gone in, the clerks have been friendly, but one day, I waited at the drive up window for TWENTY MINUTES. I know we all have bad days, but this appears to be an ongoing problem.There are banks in the area that emphasize customer care. I would say, owing to the attitude of the brach manager, that this is NOT one of them!!

Branch manager could barley speak English and didnt know how to set up small business accounts

The branch manager Susan was sadly not helpful at all! I could barley understand her and she didn't know what she was doing setting up my small business account! I was so nervous that she didn't set it up right that I called small business costumer service to make sure she did what I wanted and what do you know she did it all wrong I wasn't happy about her help!! It was stressful that a branch manager didn't even speak clear English!!! That should be changed!!! Other then her the other people where so friendly and spoke perfect English! Don't understand how Susan is the branch manager it's confusing!!

The worst drive thru tellers I have every had to deal with.  Rude and down right mean!  Can't believe they can get away with treating their customers (former customer) that way!! They are not friendly and yelled at me across the lobby!!  Never go to this bank too many good banks around!!!

I have been banking here for 10 yrs atleast. I go between olive and 141 location and here. This one is closer to my house.. Huge difference in service. At Twin Oaks,sometimes they don't even greet you or smile. When you walk in it is quiet and heavy almost. The lady at the desk on the right looks at you almost with some disgust and working with her she is very stern and not super friendly. On the other hand Olive and 141 is quite a pleasure. Walking inside people actually seem happy to see you. The lady at the desk on the right remembers me and says hi. Major difference.

These people who had bad reviews, i am sorry they didn't have the opportunity to bank at the Granite City branch. You could not ask for better group of people. I had messed up my checkbook so bad it took Melissa 2 days to get it straighten it out. Not a bad attitude, just smiled and said she would get it straighten out. And you no what she did it while smiling all the time. She is very busy but she took the time to help me and i have very little money in their bank. From the bank manager and down to new employee, they make me feel special. I have moved from Illinois to Georgia and can't find a FirstBank here. Hope I find one as good here as I have had in Illinois.
