I recently had a disappointing encounter with Fresno First Bank while attempting to secure financing for a commercial property. My dissatisfaction stems from the lack of transparency and professionalism throughout the process.
After paying $1000 for an appraisal, I faced delays with no results in sight. The bank repeatedly insisted on opening an account and signing paperwork, diverting my focus from the initially agreed-upon terms and rates. Michael Gonzalez, the representative, consistently provided inconsistent information, attributing discrepancies to the vague notion that "commercial loans are different."
To make matters worse, when I questioned the results of the appraisal and expressed my concerns about the changing terms, Gonzalez presented a completely different structure from our initial agreement. It became evident that a bait-and-switch tactic was being employed.
Upon deciding to halt the process and request a refund due to the appraisal delay and misrepresentation of terms, the bank suddenly claimed the appraisal had been completed. This abrupt resolution, coupled with a refusal to refund my money, raises serious concerns about the integrity and honesty of Fresno First Bank.
My experience with Fresno First Bank has been marked by frustration, misinformation, and what appears to be deceptive practices. I strongly caution others to exercise caution when considering this institution for their financial needs.
