Unable to set up an account for my new aaa visa card issued by Comenity Capital Bank . I was told to verify with a text message but never received the text. Comenity block any further communications with me and closed.

I recently had an issue where my card number was stolen and utilized while my Husband was in the hospital for over a week. I tried to use the card while on hospital grounds so that we could watch a movie together. BIG MISTAKE! Because I was not on a secure site this is why it happened. However, I went to use the card at BJ's Wholesale club on Tuesday October 4th and it was denied. Apparently your company picked up on the fraud and stopped the use of my card. That was the only good news I can say about this card. I called the number directly on the back of the card as directed to do by a BJ's customer service rep. I was on hold for 20 minutes but got in touch with a CS rep who informed me someone tried to change my address and made a couple of small purchases to places I had never heard of. She said a new card would be sent out and received in the next 3-5 business days. That would have been October 7th - 12th. I received a letter on the 12th stating "we are unable to issue you a replacement credit card at this time due to the status of your account". I have now called two times to find out why I am being denied. First call was made at 8PM on the 12th. I waited over 40 minutes to speak with someone about this issue. He listened carefully and told me I would have to talk to a different department as he could not help me. He forwarded me to that department I believe it was the fraud dept. A recorded message picked up to tell me that they were closed and I would have to call back. So I did call back yesterday the 13th at 3:30. I was on hold waiting to speak with a customer service rep for 90 ( ninety) minutes! I finally hung up as I wasted enough of my valuable time. I have never had to fight so hard with a credit card company just to at least "SPEAK" with a CS rep about my personal situation. I have a very high credit rating and ALWAYS pay my bills on time! This is ridiculous!! I wanted to save on my gasoline charges at BJ's but its not worth this aggravation!! I will be sure to let my friends know as well.

In spite of multiple requests and multiple escalations, these people cannot process a simple close-cd-and-send-me-my-money request. They require multiple layers of managers to approve your withdrawal, even after each and every contact puts you through the entire identification ordeal. Their first and second line of customer service people have no ability to get anything fixed when there is a problem. All they can do is send a message to the back office and tell you to give it a few more days and hope they're get to your issue.
Since when does ANY bank get to tell you that you can't close an account?
Either this bank is a scam, or they are set up to take your money, but impede your ability to get it back.
You have been warned - send them your money at your own peril...

After being approved and given a credit card through this institution, after using it, and paying my monthly payments on time, I received a letter stating that this account was terminated. This is WRONG and UNFAIR. Now my credit is blemished because you closed the account, for NO reason!! I have gone up through several "supervisors" in your customer service Dept. I have been unable to get an answer as to why, and no satisfaction. I have called the CEO of the store that you work for in handling their credit accounts as well as Your CEO, Ron Ostler who of course did not answer the phone. I have also filed a complaint with the Pa Dept of banking. This is NOT right and I am not the only one being treated poorly by this banking institution!!
