We have banked at City National for many years with both business and personal accounts. Overall, the service has been great, the people friendly and easy to work with. Recommend them especially if you live or own a business in Long Beach.

Re: Joey Sullivan, Vice President/Branch Manager Sunset Doheny Branch.

Issue: Joey Sullivan lacks professional etiquette.  He is rude and condescending.  I have been banking with City National for over 20 year at the Sunset Doheny branch, both personal and business.  For the past four to six months they have had fewer tellers so whenever I go into the bank, it seems at anytime there always is a line of people waiting.  In all the years it has been like this.  I walked in today and asked an employee at a desk adjacent the line when they were getting more tellers.  Joey Sullivan (Vice President) walked up to me with a bad attitude.  I had only asked the employee when they were going to get more tellers... Joey said I should come in at different times, which I always do and there is always a line now.  Fact, they are short on tellers!  Joey told me to"get used to it, times change and there is always going to be waiting going forward".  In my conversation with Joey Sullivan I told him that I keep tens of thousands of dollars in basic accounts there at anytime.  He, mockingly said "Woah that's allot of money"!  I don't appreciate this behavior by a Vice President/Branch Manager or any other employee at a bank I chose to do my banking.  He obviously skipped or flunked his training in proper customer service and etiquette.

Advice to Management: I suggest Joey Sullivan be put in a position where he does not deal with customers of the bank!  He was flat out disrespectful and rude!

Solid Banking with Great Entertainment Banking Products

I was looking for a bank that helps fund entertainment based busieness for my feature film I am producting.  City National was able to provide several solutions and frankly the customer service surpased my expectation.  Anyone looking for a Business loan or Personal banking I would give them a try.
