There is a banker there named Orlando Sierra and he stold my money. I live on very little money and he has no respect for the elderly and he is a thief.

Impersonal, unkind, and unsympathetic

On August 10, 2011, I visited this Citibank branch (Financial Center #001, 120 Broadway, NY) and had a very unpleasant experience. I tried to cash my JPY travelers’ checks into US$ but the Branch Assistant Manager, Ms. Ieunice Roberts, graciously refused doing so, showing the “internal” company policy that explicitly prohibits cashing foreign currency TC of non US Citibank clients. I am a Citigold customer of Citibank Spain but no special service was offered. Although I did not expect a special treatment, the way Ms. Roberts addressed my question was very impersonal, unkind, and unsympathetic. It seems that the worldwide operation of Citigold is merely a false copy which I found very inconsistent and incoherent.

SWITCH TO TD BANK! I had problems with them when my Dad was trying to pay me for work I did around the house.  They would not cash a check for me with my dad's signature saying it did not match? BASICALLY IF YOU ARE NOT AN ACCOUNT HOLDER THEY SOLICIT your banking (yeah right)YOU WHILE OTHER PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR SERVICE.  they also treat you like you are not human.  So if you bank with them do not count on them paying any checks over 400 dollars.  How is that even a policy? I go to my bank and my money, is my money, not Citibank's to tell me how and who I can give it to.  OVERALL TERRIBLE BANK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. Watch out for Meredith!!

The worst bank ever.  Allowed someone to withdrawl money from ATM with Mciaels pincode infromation.  I have talked to two people in Utah today who were victims.  Unbelieveable.  I strongly encourage you not to use this bank.  I have never used an ATM and yet they allowed someone to withdraw over $500.00 from an ATM in CA when I do not even live in CA.

I am generally a patient, understanding person, and yet I cannot begin to explain just how ridiculously incompetent this entire staff is.  I had just moved to LA & needed to start a new bank account so I could access my money without incurring massive ATM fees.  Irma opened my account - she was quite friendly and helpful, although she failed to cancel the online account I had begun the day before like I'd asked her to upon sitting down at her desk, which caused immense confusion when I received a refusal letter from Citibank in the mail, indicating that my request to open an account had been denied (highly confusing, seeing as how they still had my money!).  Luckily, the good people at the Encino Citibank straightened this out for me.

Anyway, Irma informed me that someone would call when my debit card arrived at their location.  4 WEEKS later, I still had not received a call.  So, I called and it turned out that my card had arrived (they claimed that someone called me, but I never got a message or even a missed call on my cell phone.  My cell is always on, so I highly doubt someone ever called me.)  Because I live nowhere near this branch now, I asked the lady who answered the phone if someone could mail it to me - naturally thinking that it would take no more than 1 day to mail it from Highland Park to Encino.  4 DAYS later, I still had not received my card and therefore became concerned.  I called AGAIN.  Then AND ONLY THEN was I informed that they have to send the card TO SACRAMENTO and then it will be mailed to me!!!!!  WHAT THE EFF?!?!

Now, had I known that my only link to my own money would have to be sent 400 MILES AWAY before it could be sent 400 miles back to me.  I would have found the time in my ridiculous schedule to pick the freakin thing up.

THESE PEOPLE ARE MENTALLY CHALLENGED IN THE EXTREME!!!  Thankfully, the idiocy seems to be limited to this branch, as the nice folks at the Encino branch are both friendly and intelligent.

Thank you, Encino peeps!

I should have believed what people have told me about Citi bank and the online reviews. I thought this branch would make some differences. However, I was totally wrong.

Their services are bad, or i should say there is no service. When they made mistakes, they lied about it. It really upsets me. I guess they dont' care about small clients. They made themselveds sound nice, but they are not.

I would not put any cent in this bank any more.

Have been a businnes client in very good standing for 6 plus years with a 6 figure balance. Went into the branch (as I do 2x weekly) to make my usual deposit and this time to request a $2500 bank check. Anna, the teller, told me my signature did not match and then referred me to the "Personal Banker" Amanda Grochosky who proceeded to lecture me about how signatures do not change over the years and how she signs perfectly throughout her lifetime and had NEVER seen me in the bank before. Never mind her glass office is 8 feet from the teller counter and the whole bank is maybe 2000 square feet. Then she proceeded to further chastise me as if I was a child about how she was going to put notes in my account about this matter and how I was upset at the way I was being treated. She also looked at checks I have issued in the past and said my signatures do not match. I told her that proved my point that I do not sign the same way every time. I have put up with their late openings and very slow and remarkably untrained tellers for years but this is the final straw. I will close my accounts and move them to another bank.

Eli of Plymouth meeting is one of the worst people under the sun. I closed an account and transferred my balance to a new account. Items were presented against the closed account he allowed them to bounce costing me hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees and then removed the money from my new account to cover the negative balance in my old account without even a phone call or email to let me know what was going on.

Avoid Berwyn branch & avoid Citibank while you're at it

The Citibank Berwyn, PA branch is the black hole of banks. My Citibank business account has had dozens of problems ranging from mystery fees to fraud. The representatives at Citibank do not return calls or emails, and I learned that this is probably because they get fired every 2 weeks. I am not exaggerating; they've gone through 6 business managers in the few years I've been with them.

They misquote rates, mislead you with erroneous terms of service and forget to tell you about secret fees even after you explicitly ask if there are any fees. When you finally get hold of one of them, they apologize, say they've been out of town, promise to reimburse you for losses, but no... you never get a call back, and next week you're repeating the same infuriating dance with another representative.

The 800 number for Citibank is no better. I am still awaiting a call back from a representative who told me she would call back with an answer "in 15 minutes". This was over 2 months ago.

Choose another bank--any bank at all--and you will be much better off. I can only hope that Citibank will go bankrupt soon and be bought out by a more professional and efficient financial institution. In the meantime, Citibank owes me several hundred dollars stolen from my account by fraud.
