We have been at this bank over 41 years,using it for both personal and two business accounts.
We choose it carefully when we moved to this state.
Any problems or difficulties we had over the years were
easily solved. The staff has always been pleasant and easy to work with, even during the recent downsizing, a high tension time for all of them, I am sure.

They're friendly but corporate rules sometimes make things difficult.

I've banked with Associated for years and have been satisfied with them overall.  Their staff is invariably friendly and there is rarely a wait for service.

I've used their free checking accounts, their online banking and direct deposit, and have never had a problem.  

However, I am not happy with their policy of holding large checks for five days, even if it's a local check and they can easily verify that funds are available.  A 24 hour hold might be reasonalb...but two days?
