After being pressured into opening an account with Wells Fargo by my mother for months, I finally caved in. When we got there the wait wasn't that long b/c they were so excited that I was opening an account with them. When I spoke to the agent that was representing the Winder, GA branch, he seemed like the nicest guy you could meet. When I voiced my concerns about service fees, since I was cheated by the last bank I was with, he assured me that Wells Fargo does not charge monthly fees checkings or savings. The excepting being that I will be charged $10 a month if I don't use my card 10 times a month. I had my doubts, but with my mom breathing down my neck I had to say yes. I just looked over my account via online and noticed something was not right with the amount in my savings. When I checked my statements it showed that $5 was withdrawn as a monthly service fee. I know it's just $5, but I am unemployed and broke. I opened the account to save the money I received from doing odd jobs. I don't even use it unless it's an emergency. So now if I use my money I well be charged. If I don't use it, I'll still be charged.
The agent swore to me that there were no fees. I am upset. I feel like a fool believing him.  I am planning on withdrawing what's left of my money and closing the account. I swear that I will never use Wells Fargo's services again if their agents are going to lie to my face like that. Bankers are suppose to me someone who you can trust with your money. Now I think I'll just hold on to my money on my own until I can find a bank that I can trust.

I wanted to buy some euros before my trip and was asked to wait for an banker who I waited 30mins for just to find out the bank doesn't carry euros! Come on its a bank..its fine if they carry it but why ask me to wait? Even while I was waiting they allowed someone to cut infront me! I asked why did she let the other person to go infront of me her reply was "because he was wiring money" I guess unless ur wiring money maybe its a good idea to bring ur laptop and watch a movie while u wait

Opening an account here took forever, I was sitting there wondering what was taking so long...the guy opening my account was looking for the manager so she could greet me and gave me a free plastic cup. WOW! That took about 15 minutes. Everything about this place is SLOW and I often have to request things two or three times LIKE ORDERING MY CHECKS! I see a lot of employees who are trying to look important milling around but hardly ever more than two or three clerks at the windows.

I went in with my husband to open a joint checking account earlier this spring. The banker seemed more concerned with getting me to open a checking and savings account before the cutoff when rates would change (I had accounts through another bank that I was perfectly happy with, so I was on the fence). He ended up talking me into getting these accounts, but at no point during this interaction do I recall being told that I needed to have a minimum of $75 transferred from another account into my savings account to avoid a $10 monthly service fee. So, when I read my statement this month and saw the service fee, I was concerned and contacted customer service. I explained to them my frustration and what happened with the banker and their response (three different people addressed this case via e-mail, by the way) was to credit only 1/2 of the fee. I responded by asking what was necessary to reverse the entire fee, as I followed their instructions to set up the automatic transfer, and they refused my request without an explanation as to why. I will be visiting this location when we return from vacation. This is NOT the first issue I've had with this bank since I opened these accounts. I had ZERO issues with Bank Iowa, who I banked with for 10 years, and they had (and still have) great customer service! Wells Fargo would do well to spend more time training service reps to take better care of their customers if they expect to keep them.

BEWARE WHEN USING DRIVE THRU TELLERS. I went and cashed a check for $500. I drove away and used $50 for gas and another $50 for groceries. When I returned home I only had $300 left in my envelope meaning I must have only had $400 to begin with. Carefully only taking two fifty bills out of the envelope and it staying in my car the whole time. There is no way I lost any money. I was stiffed $100. I went to the bank the following day (they had closed when I realized the short count) and the teller I went through said he counted his till and did not have access money meaning he didn't see an error. I was told that I couldn't do anything else because too much time had passed before I complained. LESSON OF STORY, ALWAYS COUNT YOUR MONEY BEFORE PULLING AWAY FROM THESE TELLERS!

I WAS AT THE BRANCH TO TAKE MONEY THROUGH THE ATM WITH MY DIRECT EXPRESS CARD , I ALSO TAKE AN ELDERLY COUPLE EVERY MONTH THAT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH WELLS FARGO, THE COMERICA CARD THAT THE GOVERMENT USES FOR THEIR SSA DEPOSITS, I DID 3 TRANSACTIONS WITH 3 DIFFERENT DIRECT EXPRESS CARD AND THE LAS T TRANSACTION IT WAS MINE AND $520.00 NEVER CAME THE SLOT, NONE SEEM TO GIVE AN ASNWER AND WERE TELLING EVEN TO CALL POLICE NONE ONE SEEMS TO CARE AND IM STILL OUT OF THE 520.00 DOLLARS. PLEASE DO SOMETHING OR THIS GOING TO CORPORATE.

So apparently they just got a new branch manager by the name of Billy Fuller. I've been coming to this branch for years as a business client with large monthly deposits. Never had I met anyone as rude and unpleasant as Mr. Fuller.  He never looks you in the eye when he talks to you. His shirts and pants are too small on him. In addition, if you are a young male, Mr. Fuller will check you out from head to toe, as he a very obvious an 'out of the box' homosexual. I have no problems with anyone's sexual preference, but come'on you're branch manager, act like one! There is absolutely no curtesy to clients in this branch, stay away! This branch is strongly making me switch to another bank. STAY AWAY!!

If you have a problem- they dont care- they are rude. inefficent and unprofessional. They dont answer calls. They dont return e mail.

Incredibly slow

They are incredibly slow and you will wait in line for at least ten minutes. Do not recommend this branch. Tellers will sit eating lunchin front of you when the line is out the door. In addition the tellers are not polite.

STAY AWAY!!  They will literally rip you off, something I never imagined  a bank would do to me.  I deposited a series of checks through the pneumatic tube and received a confirmation of the deposit from the teller.  imagine my surprise a week later when I was told that $145 of my wife's hard earned money 'wasn't received'.  Whaaaaaat??  Yes folks, even if ou get a confirmation from a human being that they received the deposit inside the bank, nobody is counting/reconciling things on the other end.  so what is it a bank does for you exactly?  Great question, best I can tell is ' not much'. Even  worse, the manager was a non esponsive, non caring corporate automaton.  I'm 49 and never had a problem like this.  Long story short, I'll never bank at Wells Fargo again after this, and due to the banks refusal to take responsibility for losing my money, I'll be spreading that word for the rest of my life.

I stood in line for over 15 minutes, and when I got o the teller, she disclosed that their system was down. I asked why we weren't told that in the line, to avoid running out of time to go to another branch beofre closing time? She responded, "You were." I wasn't going to argue with her, as she obviously was not in the line, and had no idea whether I had been notified or not. I asked for Customer service and a young man came up and said, "Our system has been down for like 30 minutes, I am pretty sure someone told you." I was furious, at the flat out disrespect. Essentially they both called me a liar, I would not have stood in line for 15 minutes with that information. Furthermore there were others in the line with the same complaint of waiting an obsurdly long time and then upon getting to the teller being told that the system was down. There was no "Sorry for any inconvenience," and the branch manager was occupied so I could not make the complaint with him as I had to try and find another branch in the 10 minutes I was left with. I tried calling the branch number provided and no answer after 4 tries and persistent ringing.

On May 31, 2012 I attempted to deposit about 75,000 in company checks, I was instructed to get certified funds from a neighboring bank for the issued checks I held. I done so and  upon return to the Wells branch I was further informed that the cashiers check would have a 3 day hold on it. The issuing bank attached a note to the cashiers check envelope with phone number to call for verification.

Wells never called..I asked if the phones were out of service..nervous laughter..no action..blank stares..then the head teller tells me there is a 3 day hold I ask why..she says the check could be bad..WOW..I got a cashiers check at Wells instruction...from a neighboring bank ..they will not call to verify..thats really professional...or is it just plain damn stupid or inept?

Then I attempt to deposit some checks in my personal account and I am told...you are from out of state..Florida..with North Carolina issued checks..in Cheraw South Carolina branch..we cant accept them for depsoit because the signatory party is not here..but yes has endorsed..but we cant accept them.  Again pure bullshit.

I leave...go to another branch in the next town over about 20 miles..go inside..offer ID...debit card swipe..not a question raised..checks deposited..no holds..in fact instant credit to my account.

My partners and I have 11 accounts in Wells with 7 figure money in them, as of June 1, all accounts will be closed and and moved to a competing bank that has never questioned any transaction we ever put before them. Holds on cashiers checks with verification contact numbers that the bank does not even act on...not a chance.

The Cheraw branch is the most inept underqualified employee group I  have ever encountered in 32 years with the bank...but that all ended today.  Poor Poor Poor..

Incompetent Personal Banker

If I could give 0 stars I would!

Horrible service, I love Wells Fargo and have used them for ever, but today had the frustration of the worst service. After calling in and refinancing my car I had to go in to Spring Cypress/290 to complete the paperwork. I end up with Kameron Grace NMLSR ID:856116. He could not answer a single question, everything was "um... I think... Should be... Suppose to be... Maybe" I had to ask him if this was his first auto loan because this is ridiculous. I had to google my questions until he was able to get auto financing on the phone to answer my question. I even asked for a manager 3 times and didn't get one til I refused to sign papers and was at the point of tears I was so mad. She wasnt any help either, seemed annoyed I made her leave her desk. If you need anything from wellsfargo I recommend going to Randalls at least they seem more intelligent.

If you want a bank that will start you at point A and route you to point v then to point L and then point z then back to point a instead of taking you to point b you have found your bank. If you are wondering what is happening with a request you have made as a customer the answer is that your request is somewhere in some back office .

Tried to settle second mortgage. Made an offer officer handling acct never forwarded to approval dept went straight to atty after 4 months of sitting on his desk till i escalated nteenth times until almost foreclosed home. accepted 16 on 20k before trying to make it 23k.

Mom in nursing home. Asked Thornwood mgr Raffine Nazzarine  for last 5 years bank records so mom could be approved for medicaid. Went May 18th explained time constraint and need them asap. He made copies ofpower of atty papers.  Called 2x for him last week calls unanswered. Clled 2x today 2nd time rep said guarantee call by end of buisness day. No call back off course. Went to advisor dept had to get his bosses boss to hopefully expadite as he didn't even put me as power of atty on acct based on what supervisor at help desk told me. If you don't escalate be prepared for nothing to be done with any requests you have on your account. Just awful. 263 reviews and an avg rating of 2 with 5 being highest says a lot.....

Nothing against the employees they have, all nice people. But wells Fargo is a bank that wont utilize technology to help you save, instead they don't use it so when you make a mistake you pay them your hard earned paycheck because they need it more than you. Chase is amazing and I highly recommend. Anytime I spend a cent I immediately am alerted and when I accidentally overdraft .15 cents, I don't go -35.15 immediately. In fact days go by and I still don't put money in and a week later when I do they still don't overdraft my account and I put a dollar in and everyone is happy.

Simple, well known practices that wells Fargo just does not offer. Sketchy business if you ask me.

I have been banking with them for a while now, and anytime I have had a problem with my accounts, they gladly sit down with you and help you figure it out. They are accomodating and friendly. I have been pleased with my service with them

I went in to the branch at the end of last week seeking mortgage approval and was assured I would receive a call by their "mortgage professional" that day or monday at the latest. It is now the end of the next week. They have held my money and business for too long, my money and business are going to another bank.

This location in general is so so... Most tellers seem to have a crappy attitude, which is probably why they've been hiring so many new ones. The mortgage officer is rude and a waste of time which is too bad because we took our business elsewhere for a home loan, her loss... BUT Kayce is an amazing teller, and the only reason I keep coming back to this location. Probabably the most pleasant and professional person in that building. At least they did something right :)

I was told Wells Fargo was an agressive Bank for small business? I was wrong! I own my home, good credit, strong sales in my one man Business, reviewed my application with supporting documentation...documentation was never sent with applications? Twice declined for credit? I have a 770 credit score? did a wire via the Bank, takes the girl 20 minutes, and she ask " Where is Boston Mass? I said your joking, and she said no? They are robots, not people...
 they will loan me money against my house. I have 4 lenders with a total of 250,000. credit, all in good standings, but Wells Fargo said NO. My money will be going to another Bank. Shame on you wells fargo...
