I've been a long time customer of Wells Fargo and have a "premier" account. I recently had money wired to my account and was charged $10.00. I talked to a teller about it and her response is "this is what we charge, you can talk with a manager if you want to."
The amount seems excessive, I checked with my credit union, Unitus, and they said they don't charge anything for a wire transfer.
I've been thinking about moving my accounts from Wells Fargo and this has been the deciding factor. I'm moving to Unitus.

The most pathetic service I have ever received. Wachovia was lacking in service but the transition to Wells Fargo is even more disappointing. People do not understand their jobs here. I am taking my hard earned dollars to another bank.

I went to cash a Wells Fargo check for $549. I could not find my license but I had plenty of other cerdit cards plus I had an account with them with over $8,000 in it. I slid my bank card thru the reader and inputted my PIN. That should have been enough. The supervisor, Vanessa Hernandez, said she could only give me $500 and deposit the rest into my account. She said without having a valid ID, she cannot input the expiration date into the system, thereby only allowing then to give me $500. The rest she said will have to be deposited. A whole $49 was at stake. Big Bucks! I told her I didn't want to do that, that the check is legal tender and I am presenting it to be cashed. She said that was their policy because they could not verify who I was. She was rude, and disrespectful. I explained all she had to do is ask me any questions regarding my acount, last ckeck deposited, mother maiden name, you know, the typical questions they ask you when you call over the phone, But noooo! She said it wasn't her job and that wasn't their policy. I told her she was rude and just a naturally nasty person. So off I went to another branch... I presented the check, told them I could not find my license, slid my bank check card thru the reader, inputted the PIN, she asked my a few personal questions, was satisfied, and cashed the check.
I hate Wells Fargo to begin with and my experience with bank #1 is a good example why. I have to admit, Bank #2 almost got me to change my mind. But overall experience is negative. ONe good deed cannot make up for many bad deeds.

25+ year customer and they treat me like dirt since World Savings was purchased by Wachovia and subsequently Wells Fargo. Slow to post deposits but any withdrawals are immediately posted. Their policy of manipulating posting times to create overdraft fees is well documented on the internet.
I am switching my banking to Ent which is local and more concerned with customer service. Dealing with Wells Fargo is now like dealing with a credit company. They are arrogant and snotty when you call their 800 number and I was cut off several times-unintentionally or intentionally?? Most customers probably don't know that there an 8 page legalistic contract (like a credit card agreement)which you agree to by depositing money in their bank and which I certainly never saw or was notified of until I wanted to know what the legal venue was for lodging complaints against them.
I would never recommend this bank to anyone.

I have banked at this particular branch since it was Wachovia. I had excellent customer service while the bank was still Wachovia, and after the transition when I had a personal / business banker named Carlos Trevino. Mr. Trevino was a valuable asset to the bank and I have never had better customer service at any other banking center. Recently Mr. Trevino was terminated and since I have had nothing but problems with the bank branch manager. In all the years I have had my business accounts and personal accounts with this branch, any system initiated holds on deposits were lifted. Mr. LEON BIRCH the branch manager doesnt believe that it is in his best interest to provide me with the same customer service. Hence I have closed all my accounts, and will tell everyone I know not to bank at Wells Fargo, and to switch to my new banking facility.

I have had several accounts at Wells Fargo in Tucson since moving here in 2007. I have over $1000 in fraudulent fees to date. I originally opened a trust account for me and my father in 2008. I was solicited to open a personal acccount that resulted in a savings acount for my daughter. My 7 year old daughter and I deposited a couple hundred dollars initially and I took her in to add money she recieved as gifts. She has never made a withdrawl but there is now less than one hundred dollars in her account.
Next, I opened a joint account for me and my father. At some point I went to the branch to discuss unexpected fees that were incorrect. I was told by an employee that the fees would be reversed; but what in fact happened was another savings and checking account was opened in my name with out my knowledge and no fees were reversed. When I realized I was being assessed fees I contacted the branch I was again told that this would be reversed and the account would be cancelled. I was a bit surprised at the casual attitude over this account being opened without my knowledge or consent but settled knowing the fees would be corrected.
My father moved in with me when these accounts started. He had Parkinson's and Alzheimer disease. I have been disabled since a serious automobile accident in 2009. I had two back surgeries and some memory issues. At times I had live in help for me and my father until his death in 2010. It was difficult, but I brought him to the branch on two ocassions at the request of the manager to resolve these issues. I have been there approximately ten additional times to resolve these same issues. I was always told that the fees would be reversed until a month ago when I started being told that I should have been monitering my accounts more closely.
I believe that I acted in a timely fashion in notifying the branch of the unexpected fees. I also believe that I am not at fault because I relied on each employee to follow through on their promise to correct these mistakes. Now that I am being told the fees will not be reversed because I was not vigilant enough. The truth of the matter is that a series of lies from employees has created what appears to be procrastination on my part. I do not believe that I should be required to do any more that expecting the branch employees to be honest and follow through on promises. Now that I have been told you intend to steal money from me under the pretext of fees and my lack of action I will be closing my accounts in two weeks unless this is resolved to my satisfaction.
Very sad ..

I wouldn't even give this company a one star, their fees are high, employee turnover is high, they charge you for looking at deposits online, they charge you for depositing cash into your business account there is a limit on how much cash you can deposit without being charged, they will tell you that they will not charge you for something to get you in there, then they will charge you monthly and it is a hassel to get the charges removed after they told you in the first place they wouldn't charge you. Their credit cards fees are high, this is a very poor establishment in such a small town, it is a shame, beware before you try them, in the long run you will be sorry.

I'm currently looking for a new banking relationship. Based on the reviews read, there is no way Wells Fargo would be a choice. The customer interaction is horrible when there's a problem. Wells Fargo customer service is marginal at best and criminal at worst. When I my bank in Nevada verifies that the funds I sent my daughter cleared from my account to her account last Wednesday. Well Fargo declares that these funds are still not available for another 3 days. There must be a policy to impose a hold over a hold despite proof that the funds are in the possession in Wells Fargo depository. I am contacting the Wells Fargo Office of the Comptroller to commence a formal investigation of this branch's activity.

On April 28, 2011, I retrieved several US Savings Bonds from my safe deposit box at the Green Hills branch, and requested to cash them and deposit them into my Checking account. I had done this several times over the course of a few years, as a Wachovia customer. I was told that I would NOT be able to redeem them and was given copies of forms to fill out so that I could send my bonds into a US Treasury office. I protested that I had cashed bonds out several times at that branch, but lost the appeal. I further argued that both my sister and son had cashed out bonds at their local (VA and FL) Wells Fargo a few days before with NO trouble. I was told that the policy of Wells Fargo was that my bonds could not be cashed, and furthermore, the manager had 23 years of banking service and was absolutely certain of this policy.
I decided to go to another bank and told the Green Hills manager that should I find another bank to redeem the bonds, I would be back to close my Wells Fargo accounts.
Ultimately I did find another bank to cash the bonds out -- and it was another branch of Wells Fargo! The cashier was not aware of the procedure, but took the initiative to phone an organization which stepped her through the process.
I was very disappointed when I returned to my local Green Hills branch to let them know the ultimate result. The manager, however, continued to be a "right-fighter" and would not concede that perhaps she may have gotten the policy wrong. No apology for my inconvenience.
This was my first experience with the Wells Fargo staff, and I was extremely disappointed. I am now in the process of searching for another bank.

This branch has a man whose first name is David, sorry for I forget his last name -_-# I really really hope he is not the manager of this branch but he does sit in a single office room and dress in suit. This man is very very rude and uneducated, his attitude, language and hand gestures made me angry within 1 minute, he always use his index finger point at me and talk to me as he is my boss! Come on! I'm your customer not your employee! I have decided to close my wells fargo saving account, I really miss Wachovia and hope it can come back!

they must only hire the graduates of special ed. The tellers here are so incompetent it really makes me wonder. They have screwed up my last four mortgage payments including applying the last one to a different individual! Unfortunately my Mort is locked in with them.

WF has a way of making sure they get every penny out of you they can. What a horrible bank. The only good thing I can say is most of the people are great and I feel bad for them working there. It is embarrasing and I see it on their faces all the time. I even went so far as to open another account and compare transactions...it is funny how long WF will take to put our money in the bank that other banks take care of immediatly.

I am acustomer of many years before it was First Union Bank, since Wells Fargo took it over, it is a complete caos. Employees seem confuse about rules and regulations and evidently, they are not getting any help from the branch manager who in return should go back to school and learn the banking basics. Too many mistakes and mishaps even to mention. Stay away if you can!
