FINGER PRINTED TO CASH A CHECK

Normally I conduct my mortgage payments with Wells Fargo in McLean, VA office branch. But today, It was convenient for me to stop at Wells Fargo in Largo, Md to cash my Escrow check from Wells Fargo. The teller "Chantel" ask for two ID's with my check and I gave it to her. Then she gave me a small device with ink in it along with my check, and replied " Press your thumb print in the ink and press it on the front of the check". What the Hell, so I have to put my finger print on at check to cash it. I felt discriminated and racially profiled by her, my name was on the check as well as both of my ID's. It was very embarrassing to stand at the tellers window with other customers and finger print my check. While other were watching, I have never been exposed to anything like this. This has never happen at Wells Fargo in McLean, VA, where I cash checks there all the time. DO NOT BANK HERE! There are better customer services somewhere else. And by the way the teller "CHANTEL, DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT COVER". STAY AWAY

With a child in tow, it is easier to bank using the ATM. At least half the time I need to make a deposit, I am unable to due to the ATM not accepting deposits! Really a draw back because then I have to get back in line either at the drive up window if during office hours or I have to actually go into the bank and then wait on a 20 minute line!

This bank can't make a correct deposit. How hard is it to deposit checks - its a good think I have try to deposit currency I know they couldn't handle thant.

I lost my wallet and canceled my credit card. After many phone calls to the terrible credit card department who said they would "rush" me a credit card in 5 days for a fee (I refused) After 10 days I still had no card (the non-fee period) and when I called to ask where my card was they offered to "rush" me a card for a $15 fee. I reminded me that I was supposed to already have my card, and refused th pay the fee. They supposedly sent one. I finally went to the branch to find out what happened to my "non-rush" credit card, they promised me that as a "high value" client my card was on its way. It has now been 3 weeks and I just found out that they never sent me a replacement card at all and instead by account was "blocked" No one could tell me why and to this date I still do not have a replacement card. I have been a customer for 27 years. I am now looking for another bank.

Treated like a was a suspect in a police station when trying to cash an out of state check for a visiting relative. A manager was called over to give approval and basically said that she didn't have time to deal with it. This is after knowing that I have been a customer for over 20 years!!!! This bank closed one of my account w/o notifying me in writing or by phone. I did not receive any message that my business account was closed. I tried to deposit a check and I found out that my account was terminated. I waited 15 minutes for an account specialist and finally the branch manager. When I asked the NEW branch manager for one good reason to stay with Wells Fargo she could not give me one. I just walked out and withdraw all the money.

After banking with them for 10 years I had to get in touch with my branch due to an error. I called for two days, left several messages and finally got a call back after threatening to go down there. The manager picked up the phone with a bad attitude and instantly went into insulting me.
She proceeded to tell me she had more important customers in the bank and was too busy to help me. Well I was a customer too, until that day. I went right down and closed all my accounts. Mine isnt the biggest account in the world but I refuse to bank somewhere I will be treated rudely. If you make a mistake just apologize and get on with it. It was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in my life.

I have never had such bad service in my life. I bought savings bonds that was all wrong. Then I want my statment the begining of the month instead of the middle. The staff at this branch is quite incompetitent. Recently I went in to get a cashier's check for $4000 and was given a money order for $400. The teller who did the transaction did not place the check in front of me asking if everything was correct and (trusting the bank which was not smart on my part)I put the check in my wallet exiting the bank. To my surprise, when presenting the check to an individual as payment, the bank error was discovered. The bank had not put the remaining $3600 back into my account on that evening before closing and never did admit that they were wrong, never apologizing - it was a complete fiasco. No paperwork of correcting the error was ever mailed to me either. It practically took an "Act of Congress" and hours of negotiating skills to get the money back into my account.
No Leadership Skills prevail at the South Perry Street Wells Fargo Bank. They do not even understand Customer Service. After banking with Wells Fargo for over 20 years we will no longer be using their "services" or recommending them to family or friends.

I requested a loan payment history from this bank for our business. Our business has been banking with Wachovia/Wells Fargo for about 15 years. I thought it would be easy to get something this simple. I went in on Wednesday, December 28th. I was promised that the information would be e-mailed to me Wednesday or Thursday. I still haven't received the requested information. I have called my contact at the bank 3 times today and everytime someone else says that he is with a customer. He has not returned my call yet. I told him the information was very urgent. Needless to say. We will be moving our accounts to another bank where we can get good service. This is just ridiculous!

Before the merger, I never had any issues with Wachovia or being charged numerous fees or even having payments not go through. Since the merger, I have had NOTHING but problems with my mortgage, savings and checking account. So bad one time, that I had to open a new checking account because the fees caused me to go negative and I refuse to pay them. The only reason I am still banking with Wells Fargo is because of the Manager, Andrew, at the Tyvola branch and his staff. They are always helpful, friendly and courteous and even know me by name. I feel this merger was a huge mistake and that clients who have been banking with Wachovia for years, should not be treated as new clients to Wells, but as existing clients. Because of all this added stress with my money, I am unfortunately seeking out a new bank.

Not surprised at all to see such poor ratings. Most of the customer service reps. are so ignorant. They stand around and are unhelpful and then treat their customers as though they are doing them a favor by doing their job. They should be ashamed. I don't expect bankers to be the most sophisticated people, but to look depressed, and just plain lame is another story. Wouldn't even stop in to get a lollipop here.

Not surprised at all to see such poor ratings. Most of the customer service reps. are so ignorant. They stand around and are unhelpful and then treat their customers as though they are doing them a favor by doing their job. They should be ashamed. I don't expect bankers to be the most sophisticated people, but to look depressed, and just plain lame is another story. Wouldn't even stop in to get a lollipop here.

They charge a bunch of service fees surreptiously--then when you catch it they wont refund the fees, stating the account was set up incorrectly and its your fault for not catching it sooner. One banker was so illiterate I couldn't understand him. They ought to hire somene who can speak English instead of trolling for boat people. They promise to call back and you never hear from them again. Have a problem? No worry it will never be addressed much less corrected. The savings accounts have so many service fees--I added it up to 120 bucks a year--for a savings account? Horrible, horrible place. The wait times are ridiculous. The bankers are rude. Theyact like it's their money instead of yours. They try to get you to sign up for added services without fully explaining them and at the end of the month you end up with fees fees fees, that no one can explain to you to your satisfaction--but you will certainly have to pay them.

horrible service- I have had an account there since 2004-they issued me a chasiers check stating it had no expiraton date- but failed to tell me after 3 years the Department of Revenue siezed the funds securing this check!! It is no taking me filing a claim, and I wont get the funds back for 4-6 weeks!!

Rude, 10 teller stations, 10 people behind the glass. 1 person actually doing something. The other 9 were eating, chatting etc......
There was a line of 40 people waiting.....
Called to make an appointment to see somebody to complain and took 25 minutes to get through on the phone (presuming that they were filing their nails) then took a further 10 minutes on the phone to make an appointment.
I used to LOVE Wachovia and the people at this location. Most of the people that used to be at this location have left (presuming that they were fed up with Wells Fargo) and have been replaced with rude, obnoxious idiots.
I HIGHLY rated Wells Fargo but after this morning I have made an appointment in 3 hours time to close my accounts with them completely.
I have made an appointment in 4 hours time to open a new account with Bank of America!
