I've had my small business checking account and line of credit with US Bank, King City branch, for the past 21 years. For past 19 years, have had $100,000 unsecured LOC, 0.5% above Prime, no annual fee. Received form letter stating that program was no longer available and cancelling my LOC. NO suggestions for getting another LOC. I initiated process to get another LOC and was told by Brian I was eligible for 2 programs: (1) $100,000 LOC, 2% above Prime, personal guarantee, no annual fee, and (2) $50,000 LOC, 3.5% above Prime, no annual fee.  I accepted #2. When I went in to sign papers, the deal had been changed to only $35,000 LOC, 6.5% above Prime, UCC filing on my business, and $150 annual fee.  During those 21 years, largest outstanding balance was $50,000, all payments in full and on time.  Personal credit score of 837. Today I received a form letter from US Bank stating it had rejected my application for a new LOC because they were "Unable to verify employment/income".  Really? After 21 years of processing my company's checks and extending my company a $100,000 LOC, and submitting last 2 years' tax returns, balance sheet, and YTD P&L, they couldn't verify my employment/income?
These people lied to me and wasted my time. Do not do business with US Bank.

Such a shame that her branch showed no loyalty. Corporations get too big and lose all perspective of customer satisfaction. How I yearn for the days of the handshake and the branch manager knowing you, remembering your name and personally handling any business transactions you may have that day. Now the employees are not only floating from branch to branch, but from desk to desk. I rarely see a familiar face at my branch for more that a few months.

Seems to me US Bank would have entered a explanation/defense of these actions to assure other customers that this was an unusual case ...2 months with no response is an interesting way to market your services.

I have a checking account with them and decided to opened a savings, and they offered recurring transfers from my checking to savings every week, I figured it would be perfect so I wouldn't have to do it myself. I set up recurring payments from my savings account since I assumed money was being transferred. To my surprise my money wasn't being transferred and I had $108 worth of fees, I went in and talked to them, and said they couldn't do anything about it because I accepted terms and conditions, and that the teller was supposed to go over with me that the money wasn't going to start transferring until later on, I understand I accepted terms and conditions, however they never told me anything about the transfers going through later on, and the staff was extremely rude. I dealt with two different representatives, one of them was giving me attitude, I asked if there was any ways any fees could be waived and she said to go ask another bank? I was extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I received, I will be closing my bank accounts with them as soon as I set up my direct deposit with my new bank.

ATM eats cards-- Worst customer service I have ever experienced!

I used the ATM with a debit card after having checked my balance via phone, and that this bank was in network via internet prior to using the ATM. The machine ate my card. The customer service line rep said I would have to be present at the moment the bank opened and they would give my card back (she was aware that this was not a U.S. Bank card). As I work 2nd shift I had to wait up all night (and had a doctor appt this afternoon so no sleep) for the bank to open. They refused to give my card. Called customer service line who told me the machine destroys the cards when they are eaten. She connected me to a local branch manager who was very rude and confirmed that sometimes there are just machine errors, but the machines don't destroy the cards, they only give back cards if they are US Bank cards, otherwise they cannot confirm identity....HELLO! I have a driver's license, passport 3 photo I.D.'s from work and a slew of credit cards, insurance cards, etc with my name. I think I can be identified!! No where does the ATM say "eaten cards become their property" and I have had the displeasure of being lied to, staying up all night, wasting gas and countless time ordering a new card and dealing with the worst customer service I have ever experienced(being on hold and talking to numerous CSRs no resolution), all over a mechanical glitch. Customer Beware...the ATM eats cards and the staff are liars and rude. I am filing a complaint with several agencies both federal and the BBB. I don't take it lightly when my property is detained and destroyed, my time wasted, and when I am treated in such a manner.  I am a well regarded and known member of this community. My family has lived in Berea for over 150 years. (As an aside, I had a card rejected once in Mexico, the ATM spit it back out).

I DO have an account with this bank and have for around 5 years now. I have always enjoyed banking there until today when I had an alert that my card was deactivated because apparently someone had got my card number and was trying to make purhases, so I called and spoke with the manager "Carolyn" and she was VERY VERY rude! I'm sorry, but I think to have a job at a bank, especially being a manager, you should be a little more friendly to your customers! I also plan to find me a new bank because of this matter.

I have been with US Bank for over 3 years. I have never had anything bad to say about them until now. I moved up to Santa Barbara and unfortunately this branch is the closest one to me. EVERY TIME I walk into this branch the service is well below par. They never acknowledge people in line. They either don't look up and you awkwardly stand there waiting and when they finally do they just stare at you. I have been in quite a few times for deposits and they never usuallu ignore me until they've finished their own conversations. But today was my breaking point. I went I and pulled cash out of the atm... I the. Waited patiently while 2 women were talking with a client trying to sell her overdraft protection and never once said anything to me like saying it would be a few minutes or anything. In the office was a man just sitting there, I'm thinking the branch manager just on his computer after 5 minutes of waiting he gets up walks out just stares at me then goes and sits back in his office. NEVER SAID A THING! There was a customer behind me who wound up leaving and finally so did I. After waiting for 10-15 minutes and not getting any type of acknowledgment I went next door to the union bank where they instantly helped me and exchanged my cash. Like I said when it comes to the products I have with US Bank I've never really had a problem. But I am strongly thinking of ending my relationship with US Bank and taking it next door to union bank!

In the nine (9) years I've banked at the Goleta Ralphs US Bank branch, I've only had friendly and polite service.  Every time.  Okay, one time there was a battle-axe manager woman with a northern European accent who irritated me a little.  I didn't mind it too much though because she had a great set of bazongas.  The person who is complaining might have projected a very negative vibe which might result in people just not liking him period.  Just a thought.

I had opened a checking account at the Schnucks branch of U.S bank at Dorsett Road. Believe me they offered me the worst banking experience ever. Even after the 14 business days of opening my account I have not yet received my checks. On top of that the bank officials at this location would not make you aware of any ongoing offers. The staff runs before time. Example: One of my friend had to notarize some of his documents and they said the official who does that is available till one hour before the bank closes. When my friend called them to ask if he could come to notarize his documents at 5.45 they said "I am sorry Sir but the concerned person has left early today and he would be only available till 1 pm tomorrow" So do they expect us to come to the branch during our office hour?
I also noticed that if you ask them a few questions regarding the banking they offer the official from this branch would get uncomfortable answering you.
PS: This branch is just opened to take your money and I feel its just opened so that Schnuks gets some more customers. Nice move Schnuks. And ya Schnuks offer better customer service than U.S bank out there.

In July (2015), I went to near by U S Bank Rancho Bernardo branch in San Diego to open a safety deposit box. they (2 women discussing) gave me a 3"x 10". I asked larger. they said there was not available. I knew that was lie because that branch just open few months ago. I had my checking and saving account with USB and I was local resident because I was a woman and Asian. (Discrimination!)
On July 15, I drove 10 miles to Poway branch opened a 6"(?)x10" box. she (Kalle)filled up all kind papers and let me signed them then gave me 2 keys and show me where the box located. She said "I's all finished.". I felt something missing. I said, "All done?" She said, "yes.". after got home I discovered 2 keys had no number on them and no sign of USB.
I checked my file with other bank deposit box. There was a agreement stating date, annul fees, and key deposit, etc. I did not want to drive 10 miles again for paper work.
USB most locations are in Albersons grocery stores. (Recently USB opened some individual offices.) For the convenience, I opened accounts with USB. Later I found out their service very bad but I had transferred my S.S. and pension and bills to USB.
It is a big mistake to have all in USB!

My family had banked at this location for over 40 years, well before it became US Bank.  I am appalled by the poor level of service and condition of safe deposit box records.  I visited this branch on Friday, July 10 at 9:30 am to access the safe deposit vault. There were no other customers in the bank at this time. I signed in at the customer service desk and sat in the lounge. There were two bankers at there desk working. There were two other bankers chit-chatting and looking at photos on a cell phone. Neither available bankers stop socializing. I watched them for a good 5 minutes before the gentleman came to inquire of my needs.  This is one of the many bad experiences I've had at this branch. When I was finally instructed to meet a teller in the vault, she couldn't find my signature card because it was missed filed.  This has happened before.  What king of reputable financial institution keeps such sloppy records?  I  disgusted. So after 40 years, I am planning to severe my relationship with this branch and find an institution that provides excellent service with accurate, professional and reliable record keeping.  Perhaps this branches leadership should institute a customer feedback survey and develop an action plan to achieve 90% satisfied or very satisfied customer service ratings for all transactions.

My ATM card was eaten by their machine. I went into the bank and they told me they couldn't retrieve my card, because their machine shreds the cards once they are taken. (Which is complete BS) They wouldn't help me because my "payday card" wasn't a US bank card. I have been using this ATM for two years and I pay my dues each time. I demand that more care be given to the customers that use this service. I was treated poorly by their manager, she did apologize. I reported my card lost and it will be two weeks before I receive my new one. As of now my account is locked and I cannot get my money. I have a 6 year old that needs to eat and I work two jobs so I need gas. This is ridiculous, and some sort of punishment should be administered to this banking branch!!!!

I just went to a pull up ATM to do a third party check deposit for my step dad. She told me I needed him fill out "pay to the order of **** and then sign it" I drove all the way for him to do that. Came back to the us bank closes to me at Albertsoblns which is now Haggens and she told me I was wrong and didn't think someone said that cause that's not write. She calls the bank and asks them and says " that's not something you guys would say right?" In front of me, basically calling me a liar. Gets off the phone and proceeds to tell me that didn't happen. At this point I am furious and leave. This is the second problem I've had with her. Last time I was there she left my money in the safety deposit box and forgot about it for 3 days!!!! All my bills got taken out and I had no money in there and got late fees. Get a new employee because this is ridiculous. I am a teacher that deals with interactions all day and hers is always the worst. This is the last time I'll go through this, I am getting a new bank and telling the rest of my friends, family, and clients to do the same.

This bank is terrible. I went in in person to make my home equity payment for June. The teller looked up my account on the computer and told me I didn't owe anything for June--I was all up-to-date and I didn't owe anything until July. I got my July bill with a "past due" amount for June.  Now I not only owe a double payment, I owe a $25.00 late fee. The tellers at this branch of US Bank obviously don't know what they are doing or how to read the computer screen. This is not the first time this has happened and I end up with the late fee. The bank will not waive the late fee.

They gave me money to open an account cool I thought.  Nothing is free fine print rule after fine print rule latter they had begun charging me fee's to have a account with them so I closed the account.  We came out about even no harm no foul.  Using a bank should not feel like a game of chess to keep from being robbed for fee's.  Get it together your employee's and customer's deserve better!

This branch is horrible. Lets be honest shall we?  Its great and everyone is friendly..... Until there is a problem.  Once you hit a snag no one will help you.  All  they will say is its not our fault.  But it clearly is. I swear plain as day the rearrange deposits so they and withdraws so they can tack on fees and overdrafts.  Why is the highest dollar value withdraw processed first when three purchases where made before it???  One can only assume so the bank can hit you with 3 overdraft fees.  thats right over 100 dollars in fees over less than 50 in overdrafts.  The worst part is they dont care, they wont help you. News flash USBANK things happen. no one is perfect.  Its sad how these fools have thrown customer service out the window.  Thats fine I will take my business to a real bank.

Customer service no longer exists at US bank! While inside the bank I have timed 2 personal bankers having a personal conversation for up to 7 minutes while 2 of us are waiting for a banker. No more free checking unless you have over a thousand directly deposited monthly. Need a new card? You won't get the one you chose.Have fraud on your account? I called the source directly & got 5 months refund. The bank said they should have handled it,I said how many months back would you refund me? They said 3 months. And who is the banker here? They didn't even suggest I report it to the police or credit reporting agencies!oh & US bank allowed the fraud to clear my checking a FAKE name but my account!Equifax will give victims of identity theft a fraud alert for free for 90 days to 7 years.866-640-2273. The bank used to be awesome like they really cared. Not anymore, even when I have used their phone line their tone is apathetic. My only decent experience is the ATM.

I used their ATM to make a deposit and unfortunately I did not take my card back at the end of the transaction. When I realized I couldn't find my ATM card, I called several places I thought I may have left it, a bit frantic as one could imagine. US Bank on Arapahoe Rd was one of the places I called. I spoke with Jesseca who took down my information and promised to research it and return my phone call shortly. Four hours later I called back . Christian answered and put me on hold to find information out...Jesseca "got swamped" and didn't have time to look. But he looked and they didn't have my card. I suggested to Christian that he tell Jesseca that honesty is always the best policy. Its a VERY slow branch, I'm in there all the time. She simply forgot. He responded rudely, so I asked to speak with the branch manager, Destiny, hoping to speak with someone who understood basic customer service....not my lucky day. Not only did Destiny tell me they actually DID find my card( Christian is new and didn't know this) but did not act concerned one bit on the customer service I'd received- as though it didn't matter that no one had followed up with the original phone call or that I had received incorrect information on a VERY important issue( that they had actually found my card, and shredded it which is company policy from the ATM). Its not their problem, I understand that, but the lack of caring in the least on a professional level is inexcusable. Clearly both Jesseca and Christian's attitudes are direct results of their manager's attitude. Now I know to order a new ATM card, but I believe we'll be changing banks. It worries me to think how they would handle a big problem if this rude and mongering behavior is how they handle this very small problem.

I deposited my pay check as usual and they bounced it saying insufficient funds.  My employer told me they cashed the check.  When I called the toll free customer service number, I got three different answers from three different reps.  They told me to call the bank manager.  Who by the way did the original deposit.  When we talked to Jennifer at the Tallmadge branch she said she would check into it and call back.  She never called me back.  I called another branch and spoke to their manager, she directed me to some other department.  I actually thought I was getting somewhere.  When I called the new number the rep, Tiarra, was the rudest person I have ever spoken with treated me like I was a criminal.  I have been with my employer for 20 years and with US bank since 2006.  I have never had a problem until recently.  I have now been told have had a fraud case opened on my account and I have to wait 7 days for my money to be deposited. I have 4 accounts with this bank and will be changing banks as soon as I get my money back.  How will I buy groceries, gas, pay my bills that are due?  Bogus bank.  Don't let your worst enemy use this bank. We are a one income family since my spouse lost their job.  Beyond ridiculous and no one wants to help.  I called corporate and never got a call back from them either.

It seems as though half the story is missing. A check you wrote bounced, or your payroll check. They cant make your payroll check bounce. The bank that your payroll is drawn on would have returned the check for whatever reason, U. S bank did not unless your payroll was also on u.s. bank therefore maybe there was a problem with your employers account. You are leaving alot out of your story. If you had a check bounce that you wrote and there wasnt funds to cover it or you had multiple things coming out same day and not enough to cover all items. which id it?
by dariuslundberg 2015-04-21 13:48:35
Considering that I and every other u.s. bank customer I've ever spoken to had only good things to say about the bank, I am rather skeptical about the reviewers' statement that she receive only awful treatment from each and every bank person she spoke with.  Sorry but it sounds way exaggerated if not made up.
by CBPfromTN 2015-04-23 14:15:09
We have been with US BANK since they came to Middle TN years ago and would not change for anything.  I (also) find this particular review to be slightly exaggerated.  Everyone I have ever dealt with at many of the US BANK branches I frequent has bent over backwards to help me in any circumstance and I would never leave US BANK.  I have also witnessed numerous times people with issues with their accounts being helped and to me, US BANK, in all these instances, has been exceptionally helpful and pleasant.  I think, judging from all the excellent reviews, that most people have had the same experience we have had, which is exceptional.

I have been a customer with US Bank for about 10 years and be warned US Bank is great when everything is going smoothly, but if you need help or bank errors occur, don't look to US Bank to fix the problem. I traded a vehicle in back in January and although I followed the process to get payoffs with the dealership as well, things went down hill quickly. It has been over 3 months and I am still trying to get the erroneous fees removed and the car paid off to be handed over to the dealership. I have probably had approximately 20 conversations with US Bank's customer service and although they have promised to rectify the issue, the issue still persists. In addition I had automatic payments setup with US Bank and they cancelled both automatic payments on both my loans instead of just the one I traded in and I have yet to get all the service fees removed from the car that should not have been cancelled. I have called my US Bank branch last week and they have yet to call me back. I called them again today and they kept me on hold for 10 minutes until I disconnected and called again. When the manager answered she was rude to say the least and frustrated that I was calling. She said she would call me back again and that was this morning and here we are at the end of the day with no call backs...! I called a different branch seeking help and they too were too busy to help, but insisted they will call me back as well.

The customer service side of things has been nothing less than terrible leaving me in state where I think I am just going to eat the charges and let the thieves still my money this time, but I will be transferring banks moving forward which is what brought me to this site. I was not surprised to see that US Bank ranked low and this is consistent with my experience.

I've banked with many different banks and this was my worst experience by far. The people working inside the bank are nice but the bank's policies are terrible. They messed up my online payments, they charge too much for the maintenance fee. Even automatic payments don't go through correctly, do not bank with U.S. Bank!

OVERDRAFTS WHEN NOT IN FAULT (HOW THE BANK STEALS YOUR MONEY)
 1star Overall Rating
by Liszeth, Mar. 11, 2015

I been banking with US Bank for several years and never had a problem with them. Finally after all the time I been with them I get an overdraft. Funny how I get overdraft for trying to pay my credit card on time. This overdraft was due to the miscommunication and poor lack of information given to me. I am always trying to pay my credit card in full and a few days before. I call on the phone to make the payment, they give me the confirmation number and I believe its going to be charged automatically. After a few days of seen they were not taking out the money to make my card payment I decide to drop in, they say they have not received any payment so I just pay the full amount owed at the branch. I then receive a overdraft since they were trying to still charge the authorized amount again even though I had gone and paid the full amount due on the credit card. Since I was unaware of this they charged me another overdraft for not paying the first one within a few days. I call and get informed of the situation and cant believe how this bank tries to make make money out of anything they can even if the customer is not in fault!!! I try explaining my situation yet Joey was unable to reimburse me for the overdrafts.

Same thing just happened to me. Us Bank customer service is completely lacking now.. HORRIBLE. I have been w/ them over 10 years, and no problems until March, 2015. They have taken out a obscene amount of fees which was their error. DO NOT TRUST US BANK W/ YOUR MONEY. I called 4 times, each time to be transferred to a voice mail, finally reached someone, in which they said the mgr would call me back. Of course, he didn't. I called again for Joe to say, no we will not help you in this matter.

Same issue here, everything's great when it's good but one hiccup on their end and it's a battle to get anything done. One accusatory statement after another from their staff over the phone.  US bank is pretty good as an institution but I would ABSOLUTELY avoid this branch like the plague do NOT open your account here if you choose US bank go to another because they will be stuck as your home location no matter how hard you try to change to another.

I absolutely hate going to this US Bank, it's almost always under staffed. I don't blame the bankers, I blame management. The lines are always out the door. Waiting time is usually 30mins or more. Who wants to stand in a line 30 mins after getting off work?! Nobody! I recommend that you hire more people, especially during lunch hours.

I think that they have excellent service. The employees are very courteous and respectful. I never wait longer than ten minutes at the most. Usually I get right in. I have always been satisfied and happy with any US bank that I have been to. Keep up the good work.

I have been with us bank over 10 years. They always provide excellent service and short  wait times. Even on Fridays (PAYDAYS). Excellent manegment as well. You should find somethinks better to do then make false reviews.
Don't make ATM deposits here

So, about a month ago, I decided to make a cash deposit at the ATM at this branch because they were closed. (they close at 5 most days)

I've made cash deposits at a few usbank ATMs and funds are immediately available as the ATMs scan each bill inserted into the ATM. Unbeknownst to me, the ATMs at this branch require an "envelope drop"...

The branch only opens the ATM to verify, and release all deposits greater than $200.00 once every 3-4 days! I had used my debit card as usual without knowing this and accrued somewhere over the amount of $300.00 IN OVERDRAFT FEES ALONE!

Tried customer service when I learned of this, nothing... Tried calling customer service a second time thinking I got someone having a bad day, explained that there was no other branch with a better ATM within literally HOURS FROM ME and that I didn't see why it was my problem that their old ATM isn't what most people expect in terms of speedy and reliable service and was told "that IS your problem, not ours".

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was at the one dilapidated, hickville bank in Washington that still uses freaking envelope drops, and then doesn't open the ATM to verify and release funds greater than $200.00 dollars but twice a week! Wth!?!? It's not like they were waiting for a check to clear, it was cash! If I had known this I would have just made 5 different deposits, $200.00 each!!!!!!!!!

Called the branch thinking this must happen often, but they were equally as useless as customer service.

On August 1,2016, someone processed a Counter Withdrawal from my savings account for $1,150. This bank is in Ellensberg, WA; I live in Portland, OR. When I called the Fraud service, I was told it would take 2 days to correct the mistake and return the funds to my account. It probably took 10 minutes for the person to receive funds from MY account but in this day of instant electronic transfers, it will take 2 days to get the money back into my account. This  is ridiculous!
