I have tried for months now to get a phone number changed on an account. This should be a simple process, and it's anything but. They have also lost two $10k plus wires in the last twenty months (they eventually found them). The thing that is frustrating is that all the employees listen to the problem, assure me they'll solve it...and then I don't hear from them again. Julie at US Bank is especially unhelpful.

I have a difficult time trying to pull up my account and I never had problems when it was First Community Bank. This is not good so far. The problems is with online banking so I can pay a bill or see my account, it is not with the people at the local bank.

I've been a US Bank customer for 15+ years. I've never had an issue with a local branch (until today). I had an issue with direct deposit. I talked to their phone support, which provided me with some information, and asked that I go into a local branch to complete the fix.
I talked to "Jenny". Who, from the moment I sat down had an attitude. As I explained the situation to her, she never once made eye contact, or acknowledged me. When I was finished explaining the situation, and she still would not look at me, or acknowledge me, I said "Are you listening to me". Which made her really angry. She ignored everything I said, and gave me the wrong advice on what needed to happen to fix the situation. When I explained again, telling her she was not listening, she got more and more upset. Finally I convinced her to call the corporate support line, which, once the information was properly given proved her advice was incorrect, and that she should have listened to me with explaining the situation. Once she got off the phone, she told me it was handled and said "Anything else?" is such a negative tone, I just laughed, got up, and left.
I've never written a bad review, or even a good review for that matter. But her unprofessional attitude, and not willing to listen to a paying customer put me over the edge. I've been to 10 or 20 US Bank branches in my 15 years as a customer, and have never experienced anything like this. Be warned.
It's really a shame, Jenny has changed my entire view of US Bank.

US Bank is the absolute worst, least ethical and predatory bank I have ever had the displeasure of having an account with. A lot of fees are hidden and exorbitant. Most of their staff gives misinformation which costs the customer and which they will not rectify. You could end up in real trouble if you are not constantly checking up on the bank and your account.
I closed my account in June 2011 because I noticed they had been charging high fees after buying out CalNational and I had overdraft fees with no overdraft. Also, they no longer had free checking without certain conditions. They started charging for all checking accounts if certain criteria were not met.
When I initially asked to close my checking, I was told I had to wait for the account to be closed because a $10.00 charge which had been made a week prior had still not been paid by the bank! It usually takes two business days at most for charges to clear. I believe they held payment of the outstanding charge to force me to incur the next month’s fee for keeping the account open.
After I closed my account, I was sent a letter for a $20.00 fee on .23cents of overdraft. I was never informed of the .23cents owed when I closed my account. I asked if I owed any money, was told no and sent a check for the balance left in my checking.
I called about the fee and was told to disregard. I received a second letter with $40.00 in overdraft fees recently for that same .23cents. I called to clear up the situation and asked the fees be waived since they had given me incorrect information. I was told I now had correct information and nothing could be done. If I didn't pay it, more fees would be incurred. Stay away from this bank if you want a sound mind and your money safe.

My husband went to this branch to withdrew cash from our account to pay our property taxes, we didn’t use the ATM because the amount was larger then $500. The teller gave him the cash and my husband was on his way to the city to pay our taxes, to his surprise the lady that work for the city of Cincinnati told him the the money is fake! He then went back to the bank and told the teller that the money is fake and ask for it to be replaced, the teller gave him new bills but when my husband ask the teller to check and make sure that the money is not fake the teller told him NO! My husband got very upset and ask to speak to a supervisor, the teller then told him that if he will not leave he will call the police! This is not customer service !!! This is very wrong!! This bank and this branch are the worst!

This bank's dusfunctional customer service program is just above that of cable, phone and whoever else is low on the list. Nice people but terible processes. It should never take three in person visits, four voice mails and five+ phone calls to simply get checks and a pin#, should it?...and they're still not received! Plus, the bank's contact number isn't even on their web-site. Uffdaaa!

I have been USBank customer for over 15 years and I was pleased with the service until I moved to Moses Lake,WA. Customer service here is very poor, some clerks doesn't know how to count, waiting time is too long and don't expect the manager to be on your side, she always makes excuses for employees mistakes and she is very rude to the customers.

Since taking over First Community Bank in Albuquerque, I have experienced elongated wait times. I use the drive through, 1 deposit for the company I work for can take up to 18 minutes to process. Why? Also, while cashing a check for my employer ( ck made to him and signed over to me to cash) and cashing a check for myself they will not separate the two checks because he has signed his check over to me. I then have to go into the bank and get change so I can separate them. I am angry enough to take my personal account out of this bank.

This White Center branch of US Bank is a true representation of failure. The employees that work at that bank are revolting, both in attitude and demeanor.
The start of my terrible experience began early this week. I went to the bank to pay off my monthly home mortgage and cash in a few checks. I walked up to a teller and told her what I wanted to do. She wasn't very pleasant so I didn't expect much. She then told me that there was $5 fee because I didn't have an account with them. I was surprised since I had never been charged this fee, so I asked if it was possible for her to waive the fee this time and I would then open an account later this week. She then practically screamed NO and threw my ID card and cash at me. How dare she have the audacity to throw my things at me. As I was about to leave, the teller said "Have a nice day" is the most awful tone that I had ever heard. She had ruined my day and she expected me to have a good day? Absolutely not. Unfortunately, this was not even the worst part of my experience.
Two days after the incident, I decided to go back to the branch and file a complaint against that rude employee. I asked to talk to someone with authority and they led me to a woman named Paulette (name changed for her sake). I was fooled by her appearance to think that she would be very helpful and kind. I was wrong. She was my worst nightmare. As I retold my experience to Paulette, she was anything but helpful. She looked as if she was belittling me and as if she didn't believe anything I said. After I finished my story, she said that she would defend her employee in this incident. How outrageous. She then started to interogate me and even made it seem like I was the one who had terrible attitude and was throwing things at people. Rather than trying to pacify the issue and to try and settle things, she was arguing with me and raising her voice. In contrast, it seemed as if she was the one who was wronged. In what ways was it helping the situation?! And at the end of our conversation, she even admitted that she was present when my first incident had occurred but had chosen to do nothing to placate the matter. Is that not her job? She in no way helped the problem and I ended up having to call US Bank's customer service line TWICE to complain about this branch.
This branch is beyond terrible. Not only does it have an unpleasant exterior, but it also contains some of the most uneducated employees ever. I honestly hope that someone with authority reads this post and fixes this ongoing issue of terrible customer service. This branch represents failure in all aspects. Do not go to this bank unless you would like to have the worst experience possible.

every few months they add a new fee, they just added "monthly maintenance fees to silver accounts. The Selling point for silver accounts is that there are no fees. I started with downey savings which was bought by us bank a few years ago, i got a letter saying there would be no change to my account and it would be business as usual. i continued doing my online banking like i normally did and at the end of the month had racked up over 100 dollars in fees, because with u.s. bank after 6 online transactions they charge you 8 dollars per. now when i call then to ask about the monthly fee they tell me they sent me a letter explaining the charges but i never recieved anything, when i explained that i never recieved a letter the response i got was "well we mailed them out." Needless to say i am going in today to close the account. avoid us bank like the plague, id rather bank with a con artist.

The branch manager was the most arrogant person I have ever dealt with. Awful bank practices and awful customer service. You will not be treated like a human being at this bank, you are just a commodity to be used up and thrown away.

this is the worst bank i have ever dealt with! i never expected to be verbally abused or interrupted by a bank manager! The bank charged me extra charges that 2 employees promised me would never happen! This bank will slowly find any excuse to take money away from you! Dont give them your time of day!

This is or was my newest of 2checking n 2savings accounts @ Citi, Chase, Union, asnd this USbank. I closed the checking acct after 7 months due to [increasing this month] many types of fees left and right, unscrupulous practices, and their treatment of you the client like a faceless numbered account. Example 1: If a check [electronic or paper]drawn against your account comes in 12noon today, you will only be able to see it after 10PM, that day yet it will IMMEDIATELY hit/grab funds from your account. Example2: A $400 check I threw into a friends BofA account one Friday night @ 6:10PM, hit my USBank checking account that same night [nothing online viewable till Monday PM though!] I made an ATM deposit to my USBank account Sat 10AM, THEN got charged $44 for "being overdrawn by $23 on Friday but depositing funds only 3 days later on Monday". In other words their fast with their garbbing but slow w/ the customers side of things. I believe they have more stringent/shrewd rules compared to BofA. Very unlike Citi, Chase, Union where the customer service and bank personnel are friendly courteous etc, you have the same day/24hrs to rectify/make a deposit by counter OR ATM, and no wacky fees get charged. EXAMPLE3: On top of that, I closed my account in good order: zero balance to checking, $1 into savings just to keep it alive so I don't get charged $5 each time you walk in to cash a clients USbank check. YET Here we are 2 weeks later I get a notice of being charged $33 overdraft fee for some automatic payment thing going through PLUS another $10 fee to take the $1 from my checking to go into the checking overdraft. I am now on hold w/ USbank customer service for 11minute52seconds to ask them whats up. OR I could go waste more time and walk into the branch to handle this. Worst uncaring regular-person bank ever. Citibank sems to be the best in all aspects. To finish off, I have now been on hold for 'the next available US banker" for 28minutes 46 seconds! BOOO

I have been with US Bank since they bought Fist Star in Kansas City, This bank has gotten worse as time goes on. They place ridiculous holds on deposits, make mistakes and make you pay overdraft fees that would make a loan shark blush.
I have been extremely ill since 2007 and have had them destroy me financially. It's easier for them to charge overdraft fees that it is for them to loan money. This type of business model is what stifling the recovery is.

Worst bank, ever!!! If you have the opportunity to open an account elsewhere, please do so because you will be in a world of inconvenience if you open an account here. They are extremely inconsiderate of their account holders, and do not care what dire situation they may place them in financially. I had funds held in my account while I was NOT notified up front, and the individual who was supposed to be taking care of the situation, Carlos, did not even have the consideration to call me back, regardless of the fact that I had left several messages for him that day. They left me without access to my funds for a week, having not even enough money for food or gas. Wouldn't you be at least a little considerate of a person when they are in such a dire situation? I have never had such a negative experience with a bank, and I am so glad to be closing my account there at the end of the week. I would suggest a more formidable institution, such as Chase Bank. I was banking with them for years before moving to US Bank, and I really don't know why I changed banks. Safe to say I will be back with Chase by the week's end
