Completely a dishonest, cold, and crooked business. I have been a customer here for 2 years, and never had a problem until now. First, I deposited my SSI check into one of their ATMs, and the check ripped in the machine. The part on the upper right corner of the check that shows the amount was rejected, but I was still told by the text on the screen the deposit was credited to my checking account. 2 days later, my card was declined while I was trying to buy my children winter gear and Christmas presents. Confused, I called and spoke with a man who said he was from one of the Oregon headquarters who explained that because the ripped part showing the check's worth came back, when it was time for the check to clear, it "bounced", resulting in them pulling said amount from my account, which was 698 dollars. I ended up somehow 300 in the hole. I explained what happened to me and he said if I called back the next day everything would be credited to me. Well I called, got some lady who was absolutely clueless, and so she said she would have the representative I spoke with the previous day call me. Never happened. So I went down to talk to someone in person, and they basically said I was out of luck and would have to have my check re-issued. When I explained that with SSI it takes up to 6 months sometimes to receive back pay and that I was 300 in the hole, I was told to explain to SSI that it was an emergency. As if that would work!!! So I came back a second time later that day because I was so upset, and all they would do was wave one lousy overdraft fee. I am just astounded and disgusted. I am a mother of 2, haven't payed rent this month, and thanks to this branch, my children won't have a Christmas. I am telling all my friends and family about what happened and that nobody should ever open a account here. They were literally trying to blow me off hoping my overdraft fees would stack sky high until I could deposit another check so they could rob me of even more money. I even presented SOLID PHYSICAL PROOF: The receipt showing the amount was credited plus am image of the check with the ripped corner, and the ripped piece it self. I WILL be canceling all my accounts and severing ties completely.

The manager had changed my address without my knowledge. She had no rights to access person information at all times without my presence yet she did so. She even CHANGED the information without me knowing she did so. When she froze the account, I never received a letter for notification. Further, their reason for freezing up the account was pathetic. Eventually it got to the legal's hands and they found nothing wrong and unfroze the account for me. This manager did not offer any sorts of help as to how I may proceed to unfroze the account. She simply said I had to go hire my own lawyer for help. She talked in circles when all her reasoning just doesn't make any sense as to why she suspect my action. I had to go to another branch to talk to their manager and he offered help 100%. He contacted me shortly and explain the legal advisers is viewing the case. It was unfrozen about a week later. If I were to really bring a law suit forward, there is no way they'll win the case. Even the manager from another branch called this manager up and told her how the account had no reason to be frozen, and again, she starts to talk in circle with him. He was thinking the same thing I was thinking. Therefore I will no longer do business with Lakewood US Bank simply because the manager cannot be trusted.

Charles and Sahir are good/friendly tellers.

Allison, the assistant manager - Condescending/Unhelpful.

She's one of those people who doesn't want to look like she's the bad guy so blames her inability to help on something else.

You've all seen when someone blames their inability to help on a computer program when in reality they can help but just don't want to and that's what you'll get out of Allison at this branch in Scripps Ranch.

Otherwise, I really liked this bank but just opened an account with BOA which is too bad because I was the first time proud of the bank I banked with.

I just need to know what the bank's business hours are, and they are nowhere to be found on the website.  Also, a websearch for bank locations only yields 3, and excludes the location on Garden of the Gods--still no bank hours found.  Frustrating

The staff at the Cherry Creek, Denver, Colorado branch is so rude I've contemplated starting an "I hate U.S. Bank" blog.

I hold an account in Cincinnati, yet each time I go in to cash a U.S. Bank check at the Cherry Creek branch, drawn from my account, they charge me $5.00 and then proceed to treat me like I'm a potential bank robber.

The Teller Supervisor (Karen Olson) is not only rude to her employees in front of the customer, she's completely rude to the customers.

I stopped in one day to use the ATM and it was down.  I went inside and the teller (Ariel) made a 3 minute transaction into a 15 minute nightmare.  Including signing papers and her complaining about my transaction.  She then told me my license picture was awful and I should get a new one.

This bank needs a staffing overhaul.

I worked recently with Adriana Galaviz to qualify for a mortgage.  My family holds several million dollars with the bank.  She was absolutely inept, daft and behaved like a silly teenager - saying unprofessional things, giggling, etc. She was unresponsive to deadlines and eventually we went with another loan officer in US Bank.  What took her 3 days took me literally 30 minutes to accommplish with a fellow officer in a different branch.  Ultimately, she just didn't care about customer service or hustling for her customers.  The experience was terrible and it made me want to have my family change banks.

I called in late Oct to have some overdraft fees cancelled, which they said they would do IF I signed up for overdraft protection. Then I had her move some money from my saving to checking to cover the my original overdraft, and have enough to transfer to savings for the auto-transfer......NOTHING was done.....nothing! The overdrafts continued to pile up unbenounced to me and I go into my local branch to find out they have closed my account and taken the $50 from my savings AND the $20 in my business account. I received no warning calls about these overdrafts, and any letters were received WEEKS LATER...I am livid. I talked to the assistant manager to correct this mistake and PAUL tells me, we have no record of that discussion and you still owe us this money! OUTRAGEOUS....I am appalled by their poor business practices. I have already reported them to the corporate headquarters. NEVER open an account at this branch.

Six months ago we spoke with Don Welker in St. Cloud Mn about refinancing our home due to a balloon payment that was due. He spoke to their underwriter and spent over 2hrs with me making sure all paper work was in order. We were pre approved and told we would close no later than Aug 1st. That day came and went with no explanation, we were give about 3 closing dates per month since than, all of which came and went with no explanation. We were always assured the following wk when he would finally answer one of our calls that it had been through processing and everything was good and at underwriting to close in 72 hrs, than of course we would get no response until after that day too would have passed, only to be told the same thing. On Nov 1st we were told it was back in processing due to information needing to be updated due to the amount of time passing, we were told processing finished up on Nov 16th, so I guess it took 3 wks to reverify information, and than it was in underwriting to close on the 22nd, which of course came and went with no explanation or response. Finally the next Mon we spoke to the branch manager who said he would look into it and than said it had went back to processing the prior wk (odd considering processing had just finished with it after having it for 3wks) , but anyways we were once again told it would close in 72 hrs so we called Thurs explaining it was closing date again and no one gave us a time or location. Today Fri we were told our loan officer changed and Don Welker was no longer with US Bank and get this, everything is back at processing now! To top it off our appraisal is days from being out dated, sure hope US Bank plans on paying for a new one,  and if anything goes wrong since clearly we have been misinformed week after week by this bank, we will lose our home and$ 27,000 in equity because we no longer have time to find another lender and thought we did not need to based on repeatedly being told everything was a go and in order. It is ridiculous how little someone could care about how their actions could negatively effect someones life. We have always provided everything we were asked to quickly and have done nothing wrong, yet who is going to be punished? Sm will update if this loan actually closes in the next few days and we dont have to pay for a new appraisal and we dont lose our home based on their actions. What a great way to go into the holidays, 4 mon past our closing date and no idea if we will be losing everything we have worked for or where we will go with our kids if we lose our home.

My name is Carol Bedard. I have banked with US BANK since 1998. I had a negative balance in my acct. on 11/28/12-noticed my paycheck deposit from a week prior was nowhere to be found. I called the USBANK 800 number to talk to internet banking since I made the deposit from home using my scanner and computer, which I often do since it is convenient. Long story short-there was a 10 cent discrepancy in the amount of my paycheck and what I typed in in the deposit which prevented the deposit from being made. They recommended that I go to my bank and re-deposit the check in person and also speak to them about reversing the NSF fees that had occured. I went to the Emmett Idaho branch and Sherri helped me there (super nice gal. I showed her the deposit summary printout of my deposit as proof that I had made the deposit. She said she couldn't reverse the fees but could call my branch manager (Josh Mo*fast)and ask if he would reverse the fees. She got him on the line and he said he would reverse ONE fee. There were THREE of them--totalling $105. Sherri apologized that Josh would not reverse all of them as she agreed that a 10 cent typo-error was clearly an honest mistake and said if she could override his decision, she would reverse all of them. She gave me his number so I could call him if I wanted to. I called him right after I left the bank and ask him to look at this incident from the human side of things--as a person and reverse the other two fees since this was not an over-spending issue in my account. He would not reverse them--said that he is looking at things from the human side and was giving me a 33% discount in the fees because it wasn't a "bank error". This was not looking at things from the "human side"...this was looking at things from the banker side--looking at me as if I'm a number. I wished him a Merry Christmas and told him I hope he sleeps good at night stealing from people like he just did me. So I have been a member of US Bank since 1998. I have paid my fair share of fees when it's my error. This was an honest 10 cent mistake--not an overspending situation. Josh and these other bankers could care less about us as humans--we are all just an account number. I don't trust banks or our govt. and I'm looking into not using any banks anymore and just using the good ole fashioned CASH only way. They're not going to get another red cent from me. Carol Bedard P.S. I'm going to do a YOUTUBE video on this situation too so everyone will know what type of people they're dealing with at US BANK. UPDATE: I just found this youtube video so I don't have to go and make one: this guy used to work there! Yep...Josh gets bonuses for the fees he steals from me and you too. This video is one in a series of them from a former US BANK employee-check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyKcOtR5kIc

I opened my checking account with US Bank over 11 years ago when I got a job there as a teller. Over the years I added a savings, credit card and reserve line. Although I thought it was ridiculous everytime my reserve line kicked in, they would charge me $10 but I didnt mind too much because I had everything set up the way I wanted and I like all the locations they have. Recently, they allowed someone to cash a $1400 fraudulent check against my account, wiping out my reserve line and the last of all the money I had since I am recently unemployed. They take no responsibility and wont work with me in any way to try to get my money back so I do not lose my home since I have negetive money now. They said they didnt have to hold funds because I have had an account there and have been in good standing and am a good person, yet they are more than willing to throw me to the wolves. Thanks for the concern and appreciation US Bank, F you!

The USA Bank in Chico, Ca. located on the Esplanade does not treat people with respect. If they know you are disabled then it gets worse. They will make fun of you in front of other customers. Yes they do make you go to the 800 number who in turn says the bank should be handling this. Most of the employees including the assistant and manager are only worried about their own paycheck not yours. Beware of this bank unless you like being put down and walked on the first time you encounter any problem. They will not be able to help you but they will embarrass you and make you feel stupid. I guess after hours they sit around and make jokes about all us people stupid enough to have accounts with USA BANK. Yes really the joke is on us!

I have had my account with US Bank for some time. The 1-800 and online services are not bad. Boy was I taken back by the poor customer service inside this branch! My complaint was over a small amount of money ($105). It wasn't about the amount, it was the unprofessional, defensive stance that was taken. As if I was trying to steal money from their paycheck. by misinformed 2014-05-05 15:45:40
I was misinformed by two employees at the US Bank branch(Zack(Granite City Branch) & Karen Cervantez(Customer Service)that my account would NOT be closed due to a $12.17 over draft fee to allow my payroll check to be direct deposited into my checking account in which the only amount that would be automatically deducted from my direct deposit would be the over draft fee of $12.17.  I go to my ATM to find that my account had been closed prior to my payroll check being direct deposited into my checking account.  I spoke with numerous people including the bank manager who was  NOT only unwilling to cooperate with me regarding this but also informed me that there would be an additional fee of $30.00 for cancello me for the misinformation.  The bank manager also made me fee beneath her that I had an overdraft fee of $12.17! I have had this account for several years and have not had any complications with my accounts(checking and savings).  I had spoke with the charge off department(G which was willing to write off the $12.17 and $30.00 cancellation fee but the bank Manager(Roberta Gibson)would NOT open my account to unless I could prove to her that I was misinformed of the closing of my account.  I spoke with the Customer Service Supervisor(Jason Spaw)who informed me that the Customer Service Representative(Karen Cervontez)does not have any recollection of speaking with me a week ago as she speaks with a lot of customers on a daily basis. I inquired if the incoming calls were ever recorded and was informed only about ten percent.  I do NOT want to reopen my accounts(checking and savings)with this institute EVER again if this is how this establishment conducts business as I do NOT trust this institute to place my hard working money into. This has caused undo hardship as now my payroll check has been sent back to my employer's headquarters which is in New Jersey so that it can be mailed to my employer.  I will pay the $12.17 overdraft fee but I refuse to pay the $30.00 cancellation fee since I was misinformed!
I am closing my account.

My fiance went in to the close our accounts because we had opened joint accounts at another bank. He signed all of the paperwork and turned in the debit card and they told him it was too late in the day to close the account and they would do it the next day. Apparently they never closed the accounts and we have been charged fees now for about a month. Very upset and glad we are no longer doing business with them.

I have tried to add someone to my account as a joint checking account and it has taken four tries with no resolution. The employees at this branch either smile in your face and tell you they're going to do something they are not (Sergio, Aaron) or they straight up tell you it can't be done and hang up on you (Lily).

No one cares at the branch or when I call the 1-800 number. All I get is the run around and lies.

The bank held my investment money for A MONTH before it showed up on my brokered CD accounts. During the first month when the market was booming, I lost 5% in both accounts. When I asked the broker to explain the loss, I was told it was penalty if I withdrew the money, but he could not explain how the penalty was calculated. I asked to surrender one of the two accounts, but the broker surrendered both and blamed me for "misremembering." FOUR DAYS after the surrender request, the broker called to say I would need to sign a form to deposit the money into my checking account at the same bank. I have been doing transactions with other banks and I was NEVER asked to sign any form in order for the bank to deposit the money into my account at the same bank. On top of all the above, the broker was extremely rude and refused to answer my phone calls.
