After years of excellent service from the Montrose, CO branch I've become very displeased with the handling of my accounts.I set up an automatic transfer to my savings account (admittedly to avoid the service fee) and then they more than doubled the fee. Next thing I know, I'm being charged right and left for anything and everything. I live 100 miles away from the branch now and can't deal with things quite as easily, so now I have to struggle to get the accounts closed without having to drive over 3 major snow covered passes in the winter. I wish it hadn't turned out this way.

Wow - couldn't agree more.  These guys have been amazingly brutal in the managing of our loan request.  Both my wife and I are in the industry and have never seen a loan process take so long and with such poor communication.  Save yourself the pain and go elsewhere.

Over the past couple of years I have dealt with this branch. On several occasions I have noticed one particular teller that seems to be very nosy. You are working with another teller and she will ease drop on the conversation and will look over at your account on the screen. I don't appreciate this and I plan to make a more formal complaint with the manager.

Change machine

People are okay but never trust their change machine.
A few times, I took my change to get bills.
Some change goes into some other slots. Therefore I'm always short. Of course eventually they find it other slot.
Again today, the machine miscalculates my changes.
Will never take my change there.

Us bank in Golden Valley really needs to step up their processes for loans.  The staff at this bank can't find the paperwork even though they remember me bringing it to them.  So much for confidentiality.  I am now closing all accounts with US bank and going to another bank.  So much for them calling themselevs 5 star customer Service.   Shame on Dan, Rob and other employees involed in this fiasco.

We have a business account with this branch, and when there was potential fraud on our account, I received the brush off from Simon at the Magnolia branch to call the 24 hour US Bank line. When I called the 24 hour line, they told me that he could have helped me since it was a business account. I called the office a few hours later, and was told again by Simon that he couldn't help me because he was in the middle of something on his computer. He said he could call me back in ten minutes and acted as if I was an inconvenience. I am not sure if they are understaffed or just poor at customer service, but I was frustrated as that was my fourth call to alert them about potential fraud. Ricardo the customer service manager returned my call - very clear Simon was not interested in helping me in the least. I will be moving my account from this branch, and possibly from US Bank.

Don't get a loan or re-fi from U.S. Bank.  I'm switching to a Credit Union. U.S. Bank took/ "stole" nearly $600 from me for an appraisal that they admitted was completely inappropriate/ ridiculous.  They promised to pay for another appraisal.. but lied.  I am filing a DORA complaint and a complaint with the Federal Office of the Comptroller... I would recommend doing that if you have similar issues.  I also have issues with the fact that the waiting lines at "white" U.S. Bank locations are much, much shorter than in minority areas...shameful.  Perhaps other complaints should be filed against U.S. Bank...Move your money asap to a community bank or credit union!

this bank is frustrating! don't show up to their drive thru, there's only 1 person working it!  at all times of the day--very frustrating at 4:30-5 when everyone is stopping after work.  And don't call on off times, you can't leave a message for a banker, they keep shooting you back to the automated teller and its just a run around.

I began going to this bank 2 years ago, when I started working for a near-by business. Back then, the bank was fully-staffed with a group of amazing tellers. They were friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. I never waited in the business line as there was always at least 2 tellers working. They always had their money strapped and ready for change orders and worked fast, even while making small talk. Now, it's an awesome day when I dont have to wait (which is rare), sometimes I even have to wait for someone to come off of their break to get taken. Then, after they slowly enter my deposits, they have to go to the vault to get my change order, then come back and restrap it into the amounts I need. It's a huge hassle and waste of time. The drive through is the same if not worse of a wait time. I really miss the way the bank used to run. I wouldnt mind if the company I worked for switched to another bank or got someone else to do the money runs.

BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES

Oooooo.  Well I will say the only reason this branch got ANY stars is because the guy who opened my account was very friendly (right).  My complaints come when I made a special request as a new customer and as a brand new business in town and when I was contacted about my request the teller was incredibly rude and heard things I didn't say, which is not that big of a deal, but he went off and talked about it for soooo long and it wasn't even true, then he wouldn't even let me get a word in to correct him so we could move on to the ACTUAL issue.  When I did finally get a word in, he insisted that I was wrong and kept talking....and talked and talked, I tried several times to get a word in again but to no avail.  This teller/banker basically harassed me in the call making me feel like a number and telling me all the ways that they make money and that my new checking account was not one of them.  I'm brand new and have 60 days to open savings and hes making me feel like Im starving this poor billion dollar company because my new checking account doesn't make them money.  The worst part is when I told a friend about my experience they had the same complaint that they couldnt get a word in and they decided to give up and just let the guy talk, thats exactly what I did too.  Bottom line, I was not necessarily expecting my request to be fulfilled and I DEFINATELY was not expecting to be basically harrassed by a banker about my brand new status with them.  Unfortunately his efforts in making money off of me backfired and I will be seeking another local bank.  Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

I have been a memeber of US Bank for 20 years. Just recently I was given a call about how US Bank can save me money on a home loan. Like anyone I was wanting to refinance and drop my payments. Everything was great from Naila, who was the banker assisting me, to the rates which were better than what I am currently paying. After paying a small fee to get the ball rolling I get a phone call from Naila saying the branch manager, JILL ROSE, will not be accepting my application and that US Bank cannot help me. Not only does JILL ROSE not call me to explain the reason or try to help find another way US Bank could help me, she throws poor Naila in the middle. I'm not upset with Naila at all,  she did a great job. I'm upset with the way JILL ROSE can't call and find alternate ways of helping me and using Naila as the middle (wo)man. You think that after 20 loyal years to a US Bank they wouldn't discard you like garbage and would want to go the extra mile for their loyal customers. US Bank's motto, which is on every sign, reads " Five Star Service Guaranteed". If I had recieved "Five Star Service" from JILL ROSE(branch manager) I would be writing a positive review for this US Bank branch, instead this is a negative one and makes everyone else who helped me(Naila), look bad too. I'm sorry to say that after 20 loyal years to Mercantile- FirStar- and now US Bank, I will be looking for another bank.

My husband & I have banked with US bank over 26 years, and we have had more rude tellers there, and more issue than I care to think about.  Firdt you go in there, and you have to wait forever to get helped.  Secondly, everytime we order checks and request they be sent to the 162nd brance at Safeway, they send them to our banl we opended the account with.  This last time it is now 1 month and counting.  There are a few tellers there who are fabulous, and there are others there, that are so rude to you they should be let go.

I'll make it short and sweet.
We are closing on a house Monday, and they just now text me saying "don't think it will happen" on Sat 2pm.
We had a quote 2 months ago, loan approved 6 weeks ago, I called 10 days ago asking to see if anything else needed, they say they're working on it, I called Friday just to double check, assuming no other problems. The morgage banker said she'll call me back right away, took 3 hrs, finally call back bc I kept calling, told me she still haven't heard back from the under writer. Said she'll let me know tomorrow, didn't called, I called, didn't pick up, so I txted her cell phone and she finally txted me and said "don't think it will happen Monday".
Seriously, this is terrible is all I could say. I have personal and business acct and now morgage acct w them, but I definitely take it else where.
And if anyone decide to get morgage loan w US bank, don't go to this location, bc the morgage banker doesn't even remember my first name after visit with her 4-5 times.

The personnel are good people, but the wait time is horrendous. I have waited in the drive thru more than 20 minutes with only 1 or 2 cars ahead of me. This is truly unexceptable. If they person does not have their deposits/withdrawals ready make them go inside or open a Business Only line.

I have been a customer with US bank since 5 years and they have fair customer service,not the best,the other issue is they don't have branches in the southern states.

The manager and assistant manager of this branch (Chico Esplanade) are both indifferent to customers and are unwilling to even listen to customer problems. "Call the 1-800 number" is what they will tell you, because they are unwilling or unable to help at the branch. It seems they are always understaffed... on Mondays and Fridays expect to wait in line for quite a while... I only ever seen two tellers. The one nice thing I will say is that the tellers are always really pleasant even when they are very busy. I would not recommend this bank to friends or family.

US bank in general is bad to begin with. They even holdmoney order and cashiers check, even i had account wiht them over 20+ years, from Downeys Savings days. But this one is the worst. I have been to numerous other brances of US bank. Always have long hold on checks. Today the teller tells if I want to avoid it, i should go to other branch where I have "relation" with them. So I took the checks, total slightly over to Citibank where I also a customer, over 2/3 of the amount was available immediately where this branch want to hold it over 7 business days. i am moving everything over to Citibank

My husband and I are trying to get a home loan through the Moses lake branch and we have had to do 1 extension already and have to go sign another one Monday because our closing date is on Sunday and we know absolutely nothing about our loan and every time I attempt to contact the mortgage lady and she denys my  phone calls and won't respond to my email. When the underwriter needed information I didn't know for a week and I found out because I called her. This is the by far worst experience I have ever had

I was with US Bank for over 8 years and never really had any serious complaints. However, it seems like there's been a slow decline in good customer service and the fees are signs of the time.  Now is the time to look for more competitive rates for the services that banks and credit unions offer.  More automation has meant less face to face contact with the customers and they used to know my name or at least act as if I was important when I stepped up to the window.  Now, it's get the order and move quickly to the next without any care for who I am and what needs I may have.
I was looking to place some monies that I got as an inheritance in the bank and asked for advice and was told that it was up to me and the information on their CDs was on the brochures at the rack.
No more extra service and I took the monies to another bank.  Come on, US Bank, take care of your old timers and they'll stay with you.

I'm so tired of all money grabbing people at US Bank. They do not no longer about customer service. It's sad really, I use to really love this bank but over the years they have just gone downhill. They can't manage to keep their own employees anymore. The people that use to be able to help and knew you by name even left the company to move on to other jobs because they did not want to be put in the position of doing this to the customers. What they do nowaways is just wrong. I am happy to be moving my banking to a credit union. Sad to be moving my banking after 20 years of being with the same bank and being through 3 name changes with them. I hope that one day they truly see how many good customers they lost due to their ways.

I would not send anyone to them for any banking or loans.

I called to ask about a fee on my account. Rather than being a good listener the staff person proceeded to argue with me. She said I would have to pay the fee whether I paid my invoice early or not. I understand that she needs to follow bank policy, but acknowledging my concerns would have went a long way toward making me a loyal customer. Instead, I'm looking for a new bank.
