There is a Spanish speaking guy here who just stands around while customers have to wait. Also him & the other guy there talk out loud about customers saying he or she is a pain. I complained to them about having to wait while he just stands there doing nothing and he said im going to close your accts. I have been a customer with us bank for yrs. and these 2 guys are the worst employees I have ever seen.

I have had my personal and business accounts at this branch for over 20 years.  I was exploring the least expensive way to get money to an international vendor and was told the bank fee was $50.  I explained to the manager, Jorge Martinez, who did the wire, that I was wiring the funds to save the $200 bank fee associated with using my card.  I found out TOO LATE that the bank pads the conversion rate to make money...so my costs ended up more than twice what I was trying to avoid in the first place! Transparency definition at this bank seems to be "as long as the customer doesn't figure out, all is good!"  It never even occurred to me that they would do something like this without disclosing it, but they did.  They do SMILE while they take your money here, but they are snakes.  If you are going to wire money, it will cost you more than you think! Extremely disappointed.

US Bank - They could care less
 1star Overall Rating
by Trebor99, Feb. 10, 2019

This isn't a condemnation on this branch in particular, but US Bank as a whole.  I recently was defrauded by an online merchant whom I attempted to resolve a dispute with in good faith for over a two weeks.  I finally disputed the charges, falsely thinking US Bank's VISA services would protect me.

After provide US Bank with copies of emails, text messages, phone logs, along with photos and descriptions of the defective items, they put the charges back on my US Bank credit card with no explanation.  I provide so much documentation there was no way a legitimate review could reach any other determination than the merchant was screwing me.

I immediately canceled my US BANK VISA credit card, and take great solace in the fact US BANK will lose more in interest after a month than had they done what they actually advertise to do, protect their customer.

I am a veteran with over 15 years of loyalty to US BANK.  I conservatively estimate I have pushed over $1M thru their bank in the time I was their customer.  I am now working to move all of my banking to a competitor.  US BANK could care less about their customers.  We are all just a number in a ledger somewhere to them.  The customer service agents you speak to resent talking to you, act like you are a major inconvenience in their day, and definitely care less about you being out of your hard-earned money over fraud

The crappiest US Bank branch around save time and go to another branch. They will hold checks for 11 days if they are over $5,000.  Stardard hold is 2-5 days.  They took the check and deposited it but then said it will be held okay not much I can do at this point.  If you are going to hold it longer than standard you need to tell people. I would have cashed it and bought in cash. So now it has clear one bank unable to write another check but it is not in my account I am guessing the bank is playing with my money. This makes a customer of 18 years with no issues wonder why they stay with US Bank when other banks are just a block away.

Had issues and tried to call the Countryside branch and just received recording over 3 consecutive days saying all people are busy and to leave a message. On 3rd day I went to the branch and was waited on by branch mgr, Monica, and told her about the phones and she replied that they have had other people mention about the phones but seemed indifferent if they would be looked at or fixed. Then she gave me incorrect information regarding an RMD for a retirement account and when I disagreed, she insisted she was correct until she called the IRA dept and they said I was correct. She merely tried to brush me off with wrong information that could have been a disaster with penalties from the IRS next year, if I did not prove she was wrong with her IRA dept and finally get it straightened out. The worst thing is that she says things that are wrong and tells you she is right when you tell her that it is incorrect - like US Bank combines Retirement RMD withdrawals from multiple accounts and issues one check for the combined amount. I told her that retirement account annual RMD withdrawals must be transacted separately and cannot be combined into one check per IRS requirements. She still disagreed until calling her IRS dept. This is beyond being just a mistake because she also interupts you and thinks she knows it all.

Whenever I want to use my debit card, there's a 50/50 chance that the card will either decline or go through. Either way, I have a Safe Debit account and paying any amount per month is not worth it when you can't even casually make a purchase over $1,000.

This is my first bank and it looks like I will have to keep searching until I find one that feels fair.

Wanted to order a new debit card.  Went into the branch so I could keep the same card number, however, instead of ordering a new card, the teller closed my card and never ordered a new one.  I did not find this out until my card was declined at a restaurant shortly there after.  I immediately tried to contact the branch at 5:30 since they are open till 6:00.  No one answered the phone.  I proceeded to cal 612-USBANKS and was on hold for almost 30 minutes.  This is when I found out the had closed my card and failed to order a new one.  She also said that she cannot turn the old card back on but she could have new new card issued and have it overnighted. She said it would take 3 business days.  The call center supervisor  sent the branch manager an email about the issue.  Let's see how long it is until they resolve this issue to my satisfaction.

The customer service at this branch is terrible, especially when dealing with their customer service representative by the name of Bradley. This guy is always the most unfriendliest person there and it's all the time. Extremely unprofessional. he either gives you an attitude or he doesn't speak. The most recent was when my teenager went in to drop off a payment check and his greeting to her was "what do you want?" This guy needs to find another line of work if he dislikes his job so much.

Worst banking experience I've ever had in my life, and I don't ever write reviews or complain. I had this bank account for 18 days before they closed it down. They didn't warn me, didn't give me any heads up, just sent my $800 check over mail without notice because one of the tellers didn't provide my social security card in time to the back office. I'm also 23 and support myself in every way. I had to borrow a cash advance from wells fargo to eat that weekend and pay off rent. When I went to the JFK, Harmony branch, Caitlyn, one of the tellers wouldn't tell me the reason why it was closed. She also went on to tell me that I haven't been nice to her since she opened up my account. That's unprofessional ethics. Worst ethics I've ever seen in any bank, and I treat everyone with respect. Her manager stepped in and told me they didn't have to give me a reason for the bank closure and they could do it at any given time. Wish I would of known that when I opened my account. I had to spend 20 minutes on the phone with a U.S. Bank rep from another store just for her to tell me that my social security card wasn't turned in on time, when I did provide it. I'm not fond of this bank at all. It was an awful, awful experience that I wish no one has to go through. Please beware, and take your hard earned money elsewhere as this bank isn't worth your time.

Alright so we have been with us bank for 8 years and they took 7 $36 overdraft fees out in 3 days. Obviously kinda out fault, but we wanted to talk to them about our options. So both the manager and branch manager were the most horrid people to deal with. Rude as all hell, talk to us like we were idiots, told us to go bank at ent, and told us to get out of the bank. Voices were never raised, we were just trying to work out a deal or something. Us bank is alright, but these horrible people at the canon city branch are the worst people I have ever had to deal with. Stuck up entitled old ladies. Get over yourself. And I see alot of other reviews saying g the same thing. Us bank, why dont you fix this issue? Rude people have NO use in the customer service industry. Thank you.

Today a friend tried to deposit $2500.00 into my account and was told that they could not accept cash. What? Since when does a bank not take cash. He followed their instructions, obtained a cashiers check and made the deposit. I went to the bank (different city) and tried to withdrawal the $2500.00 and was told I could only get $570.19. They said they have to wait for the cashiers check to clear. I'm confused!! Isn't a cashiers check the same as cash? And why can one NOT deposit cash into ones account? On top of that the Branch Manager Richard Rojas had the nerve to tell me that one of the reasons for the hold was that there had been no activity on my account for 3 months. Seriously? The fact that a bank refuses to deposit cash, insist on cashiers checks and them holds the account holders funds for 1-2 days is absolutely wrong. You are not a bank as long as you do business this way. I will close my account tomorrow as stated because they refused to close it today.

Needed to draw more than $300 but cash machine wouldn't allow it (my card does allow up to £500 per day), so went into bank.  Explained to woman cashier what I wanted to do, presented my credit card (mastercard), passport as ID and driving license.  Cashier went away and came back to tell me the transaction was declined.  That did not make sense, so I asked her to wait while I called my card company and then to try again while they talked her through the process (had to do this at another bank, as seems there is a different process for US cards where they use the ZIP code and International cards where they don't).  Cashier became neurotic, said she'd processed the card correctly and I had to leave.  I told her I was trying to help her as I knew there was nothing wrong with my card.  She told me I could try the bank across the street (Regions Bank) but she refused to let me call Mastercard and told me if I didn't leave, she would call security.  I asked to speak to the Branch Manager and she refused to let me and called the Security guard, who looked as bewildered as me by her actions as I was not causing a scene, I was calmly trying to help resolve the issue.  I left calmly with the Security guard also not sure why she was behaving in that way but he at least was professional and never manhandled me or threatened me, merely motioned towards the door and I walked out calmly next to him.
Thankfully Regions bank across the street were a much more professional outfit and processed my transaction without any issues.  Their woman cashier was polite, friendly and professional, complete contrast to the neurotic and unprofessional woman cashier at US Bank.
Do not recommend any International travelers use this branch and wouldn't recommend it to any of my US friends either, instead I recommend you cross the street and use Regions Bank.
Don't know if the woman cashier was having a bad day or simply doesn't like foreign visitors (I'm British) but nobody who behaves in the manner she did should be working in a Customer facing environment.  Since none of her colleagues intervened or called the Manager either, I guess her actions are accepted practice at US Bank, though thankfully the only time I experienced such poor treatment during my 2 week trip to Nashville (everyone else was great, in particular the Regions Bank staff across the street).
Avoid this branch in particular like the plague and if this branch is indicative of how US Bank is operated, avoid US Bank in general.

I tried to login online and I was told that without a pin set up, I have to wait 3-5 days for them to send me an unwanted debit card.  I have a mortgage account with them and I am unable to login to that since they merged it with their checking account site that requires this debit card. I was just in the branch signing up for a checking account and was not told that I won't get online access unless I sign up for their debit card.  Very upset!

This branch's staff appears to be poorly trained and unclear about their own policies.  They have provided me with incorrect information about opening accounts and related interest rates for loans, provided me with incorrect forms for setting up loan payment from another account, and have no information about the Ohio BMV process where it intersects with the bank's loan process. These issues caused me to have to obtain temporary tags twice, submit documentation to authorize payment from my external account twice, and to drive to title office and license bureau twice simply to obtain plates.  One error and misdirection after another.

I !received a nasty-gram, from USBank, Cincinnati,OH; indicating, the account was overdrawn. HUH! This account was closed, sometime in November 2017, we wanted something closer to our home, since we have no car, and rely on SunVan Paratransit. The letter stated the account is closed, due to inactivity. Well duh! I called the local office, at or about 5:15p.m.today, Saturday 20, 2018; only to be told, they were closing in a few, but the online open hours, states, they don't close until 7p.m. ???? So, I give all the data I have available to me, and the clerk tells me, they will have to look into it, and they will call me back in a.m., since we do not have a car, the bank folks, wanted me to bring the letter to them. I even have a refund check for the balance in the account at the time of closing the account. Then the folks, from Cincinnati, can't handle this issue on their, own, they want us to contact the local branch; but, it's ok, for Cincinnati, to send out nasty grams, with threatening language, they may/can report to the Consumer Reporting Agency, which may prevent us from obtaining services at other financial institutions; "garbage in"; "garage out"....Cincinnati, also indicated, we were notified before. Well, this is the first we have heard about this. So, now, we just sit back, relax, and let the branch tell us, their story. Guilty, before Proven Innocent.

Looks like Mr. James, who has no car, has entirely too much free time on his hands. Perhaps he missed his meds that morning. I wish my problems were so simple....

The folks at U.S. Bank are just fine... often going above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I've been with them 11 years now, and wouldn't dream of switching banks just because U.S. Bank has been so helpful on so many occasions... Kudos to them!

I am here on 12/15/17 I walked in at about 3:15 and asked for Ashton. I spoke to her a few days ago about my account, she gave me false information so I called back the next day. A lady asked for my name and number and told me she would call back and I never received a call. When I got off of work I called the branch twice and no one answered so I drove up there. Two guys were standing at their stations not doing anything and one guy was helping cutomers. I don’t understand why the phone was answered. I was told that Ashton was in the phone I would have to wait which was fine. Then she got off of the phone and sat in her office for about 10 minutes, I don’t know if she forgot that she had people waiting on her or what so then she placed a call, got off the phone sat in there for another 5 minutes then came to get the next customer. I left and didn’t get the help I needed but I felt that this branch is very unprofessional and when it comes to customer service they are seriously lacking.

Came in at the Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes Branch on Nov 30. A minute into a lady employee helping me open a bank account, she signaled one of her co-workers that she had a doctor's appointment to go to. I asked her if she wanted me to come back some other time.  To my disbelief, she took me on my offer and asked me if I could do that--come back tomorrow so she could keep her doctor's appointment. Never heard or seen a bank employee tell a customer to come back some other time because she has a doctor's appointment to go to!!! Took my business to another bank which is on the next street and was happy with their customer service.

She could have handled it better, by sitting you with someone else from the beginning or setting up an appointment with you for later. Doctor offices don't like it when you cancel last minute or don't show at all. Even bankers have personal lives and personal things they need to handle. Next time try setting up an appointment to get your needs handled. It makes it a lot easier.

Poor service. Given the area this branch profiles customers. I live and work between Texas and Minnesota. While in town stop by this local branch to get cash out of my account. And they denied me my own funds due to out of state id. And wouldn't accept any other form of id to proove I am who I am.

I went to your bank to get money out of ATM. It said there wasn't no money. In which I just checked there was 113.00. Next thing I knew is it kept my card. I went inside and because it wasn't one of theirs they would not give it to me. Bunch of bullshit

On Tuesday of last week, I deposited cash at the ATM attached to the bank (not the drive thru). The ATM took my cash then kept "running" as if it wanted to grab more money. It wouldn't give me a receipt but finally gave me my card back. Basically it ate my cash and didn't credit my account. I went inside immediately to report the issue. I spoke to the manager, Aaron, and he assured me that they would be balancing the inside ATM that evening and my money should be credited to my account within a day or two. Now it is 8 days later and I have not received anything but assurances that they need to go through channels and their corporate process!! I need my money! I want something in writing! I have called and stopped in. Did so again today. He keeps telling me the "party line" without giving me any satisfaction. Polite euphomisms don't cut it!! I want my money and some recognition of the inconvenience they've put me through. I have had my account with USB for over 20 yrs. WHAT GIVES??

This morning at 9:00am (May 23, 2017), I came in the 3525 Hartsel Dr, Colorado Soprings, CO branch of U.S. Bank and requested of Karen (I think that’s her name; middle-age woman with blonde hair) to consider removing unreasonable overdraft fees that were applied to our son Seth’s U.S. Bank checking account through no fault of his own.  The fees were applied quickly, were over $200, and has never happened to our son.  After explaining the situation to the bank rep this morning, she refused to remove the unreasonable, exorbitant overdraft fees applied to our son’s checking account.  This unwillingness to remove these unreasonable charges in this situation from a customer reflects very negatively on U.S. Bank, and that this bank clearly puts money and profit first, customers last.  If it were my checking account with your bank, I would close it out immediately.  We have many accounts with significant amount of funds in another major, U.S. bank, and would never consider banking with U.S. Bank in general, and your branch in particular.  Just thought someone might care.  I am going to submit a very poor customer experience review for your bank with the main U.S. Bank office in the U.S., and on another popular review site so that others will avoid banking at U.S. Bank and your branch, in particular, and that U.S. Bank corporate will be aware of your poor customer service.

ATM TOOK MY DEPOSIT CHECK AND DID NOT PUT MONEY INTO MY ACCOUNT
 1star Overall Rating
by rjbmoto, Apr. 18, 2017

I went to deposit a check for $200 at the ATM at the US Bank Branch at 800 Nicollet Mall Minneapolis, MN on my way out to dinner and a Twins game with friends. I inserted my debit card and was prompted to insert the check. When I put the check into the ATM it seemed to malfunction and kept pulling the check in and out. Then it took the check in and kept it. The screen informed me that the machine had malfunctioned and that my deposit was NOT completed and it could not return my check. The ATM then asked me for the deposit amount of the check and printed out a receipt that says deposit attempt also telling me that an error had occurred. I went into the branch and told a teller who then said I would have to wait for banker and that I should take a seat. I told him I was with a group and did not have time as I did not want them to wait for me. I called the 800 number on the so called receipt and I was told that there was nothing they could do and that I would have to wait a few days to see what had happened. I checked my account online and it showed a deposit and a debit both for $200. The next morning both of those lines were gone with no mention of either on my online account. I called the 800 line again and spoke to Gina who said she would help and took some information. I was not satisfied with that and went back down to the US Bank Branch, paid $8.00 to park.
